I had an Android phone I took to Prague a few years ago. I needed to use it at the airport to call the hotel and tell them to send a limo, as I had arrived early. I couldn't get it to connect to a network. Fortunately I took an old iPhone 3GS that trip as backup, popped the SIM, put it in the iPhone, and voila, I had service. Gave away the Android powered phone later that day and bought an iPhone 4 at iStyle and SIM at T-mobile...
