I have a rule in life I'd like to share with you guys...
Whenever I'm confronted with a problem (and Ebola clearly is a problem for all of us), I ask myself the following questions:
1/ What can I do about it?
2/ Can I do something about it now?
If the answer to 1/ is no, then I forget about it. No need to fret over what's beyond your control: all you achieve if you do is get stressed out for nothing.
If the answer to 1/ is yes but the answer to 2/ is no, then I put a reminder to do something about the problem at a later time in my agenda, when my efforts are useful, then I forget about it for now for the same reason as above.
If the answer to 1/ and 2/ is yes, then I do something about it, and I don't get stressed out because whatever I do has effects on the problem.
Now then, what can I do to avoid Ebola? Nothing. Zilch. Nada, Zero. There are medical professionals who are qualified to treat Ebola patients, there are epidemiologists who are qualified to assess the risk to the population in general and to individuals, there are clever virologists who can devise vaccines/medications, and I ain't neither. There ain't nobody around my parts who's sick of Ebola yet, and the aforementioned professionals are already hard at work to ensure that the situation stays that way.
So it stands to reason that I do nothing at all about it and forget about it at this time.
@SMOKIE, I suggest you do the same, else you'll die of anxiety before you even get a chance to be infected by Ebola
