Then you should remember these things :)
Remember WHAT? You posted a video in which two ignorant people are interviewed with a completely biased announcer claiming they represent Obama's ideal American. The video is completely stupid.

Lets get to the facts,
Clinton revoked Glass Stegal which gave his bud's on wall street basically a licence to steal LOL ( look it up)
Predatory Lending? Is that when a person gets a $400K mortgage from Fannie Mae or Ginny Mac when they make $150 a week with no ability of paying it and not needing income verification to get it so it will be FAIR?
The Fed buying bonds to keep the stock market afloat and prospering with no real top line revenue growth (Sorry you can look that up too)
Shovel ready jobs?? Ooops $700 billion on that, but at least some spotted owls are very happy.
Keeping $3 Trillion off shore because the fed wants 35% of it instead of 25% , which will bring it back into the economy ( anyone ever heard of half a loaf is better than the whole loaf?)
Should I go on?

So are you REALLY telling me you'd prefer minimum wage was still at the pre-2009 level? Are you seriously telling me prices wouldn't have gone up anyway and everyone wouldn't be scraping to survive today at pre-2009 minimum wage? Regardless of the consequences, you HAVE to raise the minimum wage now and again. You can't just leave it the same while the cost of living continues to increase.
No.. whats done is done and it never 'goes back'.. However, why do we need to raise the minimum wage? It wouldnt be due to inflation, would it? Hmm.. So, prices go up, people must get paid more to cover it, which has the effect of raising prices, so people have to get paid more, which again raises the prices, etc, etc, etc.. As I said waaay back, simply raising the minimum wage will do nothing.. Much more needs to be done that will have the effect of not needing to raise the minimum wage in the first place.. The costs of goods and services need to remain stable. Simply printing more money, or demanding people get paid more, will not do that.

Come on ,is the goal min. wage ! If that was my sons goal I would lock him in the garage and he could sleep in the truck and my wife would put his meals on the hood . (today he makes more than I did ) . Most companies can not afford this 15 $ per hour . Min . wage is a starting point . Want more , get another job , learn a new skill , go to school or join the military and learn an occupation . The Government never fed my family or made my house payment and I never asked it to . Drive and ambition run this country and every other free nation . Welfare has gone up 33 % under this administration . Give people the chance to help themselves , they pay taxes, they buy, and that gets the economy going .

You guys seem to be mistaking me with someone who supports Clinton or Obama. I don't like either party. But I'm also not just going to blame them for everything out of sheer hatred for them. In my opinion Bush was the worst president ever, and that has nothing to do with him being Republican. It has to do with him being a lying sack of shit. But don't expect me to blindly come to the defense of Obama either, but also don't expect me to be blind to his accomplishments either.

Eh, I say raise the minimum wage, it's not going to be the end of the world. It's overdue. And as for women ALREADY getting equal pay, well, good, if that's the case then there should be no objection to a law guaranteeing it then.

All talking politics does is piss people off at each other, and lower folks opinion of each other !
I agree. Thanks for the chat everyone. I hold no animosity toward people with differences of opinion, but I'm through talking politics for the day. Let's get back to something we can agree on, vaping. :)

AKA - Obama Cash... Which I posted a link too.. talked about.. and, those women were happy to receive 'from Obamas stash'..

Which you said you dont remember...

C'mon, keep up :)
I don't remember it probably because I wasn't absorbed in finding fault with everything Obama does. Every president in the history of this country has given out aid in one form or another. I remember the Bush tax break because it was so humongous that it wasted away the national surplus almost immediately (in my opinion, I know you disagree with that). Obama cash went to whom exactly? Some poor people? Well personally I think it's good if some poor people in Detroit got some cash, they need it. Anyway, like I said, enough politics for me for one day. Have a great day.

The minimum wage was raised in 2009 and none of the doom and gloom you are predicting happened.
i think Midniteoyl said it best. what you are saying is minimum wage needs to be raised because prices have risen substantially since we raised minimum wage in 2009.

prices will continue to rise as central banks keep interest rates at 0% and print money to buy debt, so do we continue to raise minimum wage until the dollar loses reserve currency status and we move into very high inflation? either way the dollar's days are numbered in its current form. if they actually raise minimum wage the central banks would have to admit to inflation, and that would get in the way of their money printing. does anyone know what happens if interest rates rise to a normal level? mortgage rates at 10%? anyone know how many rounds of QE we have had since 2009? not to mention the global money printing. the swiss just killed their peg to the euro bc of how scared they are of upcoming QE programs (one from the ECB is supposed to be announced this week, timely exit by the swiss). they cut their losses and are looking forward, something that cannot be said for america, europe, japan, etc

this is why i dont like arguing these minute points bc america is already past the point of no return. we are the ring leader of debt and selling out the future. there are much bigger problems happening every day compared to politics. the fed and government has led us down a false path to prosperity filled with debt and inflation. if more people understood this part of the equation they would understand the context of where our country is. and what is really important and how to get back to sound money and building wealth as a country

It went to everyone, and was bigger than Bush's...

And, I'm not trying to 'finding fault with everything Obama does', but if you are gonna start talking politics and blame, you need to have your facts.. Apparently you are missing some.

I don't mind arguing about the Bush tax cuts, believe what you want about it, but at least nobody can deny it actually happened. But going on and on about some mythical "Obama money" and saying it was bigger than Bush's tax cuts and that "everyone got" it, he who claims that needs to show some proof to back up all of that please.

it doesnt matter, they are all power hungry politicians doing whats in their best interest. take a step back and learn about whats happening with global central banks colluding with federal governments. you will see how little this stuff matters and i see it as just distractions to what they are really doing

Just a thought , but are we all saying the same thing ......things are not right . No Rep. or Dem . issue here . Harry Reid in the Senate as majority leader was in charge of the calendar and if a bill came out he did not like it stayed on his desk and never went to the floor for debate or a vote . Is that any way to solve an issue ? We have theses career politicians who get 3,4 and more terms and we end up with the same problems . If your in the Senate ,you have 6 years ,if you can't make a difference ,well , see you later . That goes for all of them . It has gotten to the point where WE should all look in the mirror . Ok , , ,just an opinion .

And that goes back to my main point, raising the minimum wage isn't going to do jack to the economy. Everything is ruled today by central banks and multi-national corporations. How is getting a raise going to effect the price of your freakin' iphone made in China?

yeah, but it seems one is saying the right thing from a libertarian point of view and another is saying the right thing from a more socialist point of view, that's where the heads start to butt.

but it is. its going to increase the effects coming from increased money supply and if we keep doing all these inflation inducing policies we can and will enter hyper inflation. then paradigm shift. at that point we will be wishing for the little amount of prosperity we have now. so many things wrong but that doesnt mean we give up on the principles that made us great

Yet we all have homes and cars and are fat and can afford to feed our dogs and cats as well. Give those who struggle in a minimum wage job a raise already, for all the theory and predictions of gloom and doom, at the end of the day you still have your home and car and you're still fat with a cat and a dog.

there are things we can do to increase purchasing power which is the real goal in raising minimum wage. it starts with debt and central banks

youve got to stop thinking about the end of the day and look at the end of the year, we want long term prosperity and an environment to create more. not short term solutions that break down our country

??? Um.. I cant explain or give a more clearer link.
What link that you gave was clear? The one where some women who didn't even know what she was talking about in Detroit was rambling on about how the money was coming from Obama's personal stash? That was a 15 million dollar aid package to help people avoid foreclosure by the way, not even a tiny fraction of the Bush tax cut.

Wait, you're talking about the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ???

Did you even read that WikiPedia page? It has nothing to do with giving out cash to people.

To respond to the Great Recession, the primary objective for ARRA was to save and create jobs almost immediately. Secondary objectives were to provide temporary relief programs for those most impacted by the recession and invest in infrastructure, education, health, and renewable energy.

No, my point is if you have a house and a car now, you're still going to have a house and a car after the minimum wage is raised, but I suspect you knew that and are now just resorting to double talk.

Fuck speeches..Words are cheap...I like to see more action then bla bla bla...Obma said a lot of shit when he was running for office and then failed on a lot of them like most politicians ...Just like any job...In the interview when you say "I can do this and that" and in the end you can't you should be fired...They all say what you want to hear and for the most part never follow through... A 2 party system is a fucking joke... might as well flip a coin
