Umm LG is cutting off battery suppliers Like Liion wholesale for the same reason. Not just vape shops will be effected. they are hitting all single battery uses...They really must be ill...
But to be honest, i really don't see this can give me any problems as a vaper.
It will/can be a problem for all the vape shops.

Yup, yup, and yupUmm LG is cutting off battery suppliers Like Liion wholesale for the same reason. Not just vape shops will be effected. they are hitting all single battery uses...
Vape shops will very likely pretty much be gone after May anyway. So kind of a moot point there.
also most all online US vape suppliers will be gone as well after May. And with the battery makers also pulling their single cells from battery retailers where will that leave us?
And do not count on the man behind the curtain to save us.
Some/many just do not think this will happen. It is scheduled to happen and so far nothing I have seen will change that.
Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Internal battery mods are fine as long as the internal battery lasts. When it dies they are trash. You mentioned Mooch talking about using internal battery mods, and I just bought another one. You think this may be helpful?
Sorry I wish I knew how to make this letter bigger-
Denmark, not Norway, but same, same 4 u folks , and never say never, we have a bad habit being behind US with some of the shitty things to.You’re in Norway? You may not be affected.
Is it actually illegal to import over 2 ml tanks? Or just illegal to sell them there?Denmark, not Norway, but same, same 4 u folks , and never say never, we have a bad habit being behind US with some of the shitty things to.
But still i import batteries from China as i did the last 8 years and think i can continue this routine no matter what.
Like i import and sell all tank over the silly 2ml, even it's not legal in Denmark.
We call it civil disobedience in DK!

Yes and no...But not for individuals?
Just because Chicken Little says vaping is ending don't follow the Coronavirus Mentality. Many devices use those same 18650's.

yeah, but its possible, 50/50 chance right now, that nearly all of those cell using devices end up in the dumpster.
So no more portable battery operated fans?
the manufacturers are going after a cell ban because of a few dumbass vapers. if they succeed, all other cell devices/users will be thrown under the bus also. though, what may happen, is the manufactures make very low amp cells. most vapers can't use low amp cells, but many/most of those other devices can and do.
No one is saying that the battery tech is going away just that it is likely going to get much harder for vapers to get them.Consider cordless power tools. Pretty much anything you can buy at Home Depot and the like. They all need both max amp output and decent mAh just like we do. This batt technology is not going away anytime soon.
My biggest fear. You think they care if a few fans and flashlights become obsolete? I don't. I think they may all be produced in packs, making single cells almost impossible to find. Yep that was how many got their first 20700's.Can we dismantle the packs?

They can't do that because they will lose too much. Not selling to Vapers they get kick backs from BT and BT. No fan or flashlight manufacturer is going to pay them and someone will make batteries. Just because they are getting paid to fuck us, when Vaping is an ACCEPTED SMOKING CESSATION device all of a sudden they will come out with the sickest fucking cells you ever wanted.
Unless you can't buy any more when yours quit?I can almost see why Mooch mentioned using internal battery mods. Not that I’m saying those are great, but it seems less problematic.
per Jon at Liion Wholesale they will not be getting any more LG cells after they sell off their existing stock. So lets say they nail the coffin down and vapers don't get batteries.
How would this affect IMR/Illumn etc... A lot of vapers buy from them... but they are far from a vape shop...
I don't see an issue, unless they just stop selling them to Illumn etc period due to association on videos posted by the "Vape YT'rs"
You know the ones that list Authorized retailers of authentic batteries for vapers... or on forums which are data mined and the thousands of threads of where to get trusted batteries from.
Either case... I'll buy more Samsung batteries (30Ts) til I can't... a small stock pile of 100 should suffice for 10 years... already own 30... 70 more...plus if I am still vaping in 10 years... then I suck at life

Illumn seems to be clearancing their HG2's out as well.
and if you watched the LG video they are not just attacking vaping but all single cell use of their batteries.
see this thread.

yeah I bought 22 HG2's. gonna leave em in the storage charge level until I need em.Gotcha... unfortunate...
Still going to buy 10 years worth
Sucks for future vapers for sure...
Unless you can't buy any more when yours quit?
As I recall store at room temp around 70 deg or so with about a 3.5V charge.OK, I've seen people say they store them in fridges, freezers, half charged, full charged... WHAT is the safest method for long term storage, and how many answers will I receive?
Yep, most cheap in whole Denmark and u can get some cheap pure or 100% or what u want of nicotine toSo if I go on holiday to Denmark, then I can buy gear at your store!!
What do you mean, make very low amp cells? All of the cell manufacturers have already been doing that since forever. They don't give a flying fuck about vapers except Molicel. Big manufacturers of the cells we use like Sony/Murata, Samsung, LG aren't interested in us because we are only a very tiny insignificant fraction of the market. A speck of dust behind the TV is who we are as a community, and the TV in question is manufactured by them as well. Their big customers who buy millions of their cells are in the tech industry. Appliances, power tools, that kind of thing. It just doesn't hurt them enough financially if all of us decided to stop buying their cells so they simply don't care as they don't have to. The difference comes from the lawsuits. They don't want to pay a hefty compensation due to being liable if someone gets hurt by using loose cells, as has already been explained ad nauseam.the manufacturers are going after a cell ban because of a few dumbass vapers. if they succeed, all other cell devices/users will be thrown under the bus also. though, what may happen, is the manufactures make very low amp cells. most vapers can't use low amp cells, but many/most of those other devices can and do.
Not "much harder for vapers". Much harder for SOME vapers. No one is saying that the battery tech is going away just that it is likely going to get much harder for vapers to get them.
Some of us can. But if done the wrong way, it poses serious risks, and, the biggest problem with that is people selling them after they did, thereby transferring these potential risks onto those who buy these cells from them... so whatever you do, don't buy cells sourced from dismantled battery packs. Ever. Can we dismantle the packs?
