Speaking of Eli, I seem to remember (as if this old phart really even has a memory anymore) back in Feeblary or Munch or somewhen there was still white shit on the ground here that you said you were gonna take a week or two and go to EC and you kept getting more and more work and it never happened, did it?

Night night. Got this tiny little silver tabby pussy in my lap who has been asking me to go to bed so he can have his nightly snuggles, so I guess this is as good a time as any. Yak more tomorrow.

Howdy Ladies and gents and others Hope everyone is well.

Haven't been on much since surgery which seemed to go well. The greatest part of the pain is passed until I begin PT in a few weeks. I'm still living one armed and will be for a while. Can't move the arm much yet. Have 3 new holes in the shoulder.

How you feeling, Rich?....SSDD?.......:)
Still so tired I can barely see the screen, but I should be good for a little while longer.

I just can't figure out this weather. It is so... NOT normal. Thunderstorms and rain started here early this morning (2? 3AM?), then it cleared off, and now we have more thunderstorms in the area. Lightning and thunder but the rain hasn't started again... YET. The frequency of this shit is just entirely too weird.

Same shit here, but it's just in the low 100's, nothing bizarre again till the end of the week ahead, when it's supposed to be back into the 110's, which is little much for me.

I see that...and their calling for more rain tomorrow......
I still have 10,000,000 projects on my "to do" list that will never get done if this place continues to pretend it is a tropical rain forest.

At the same time, I feel sorry for you that is is so damn hot.

Maybe we need to rub the lamp and get the Genie to reset our realities. ;)

Imagine when the BC returns you'll be busy for a couple weeks. Can only hope the snow doesn't begin early this fall.

Was talking to a guy from Grants Pass this afternoon, I asked him if it was a rainforest....he said no not really...I haven't been to Oregon so I have no idea where it rains like hell in that state, is it on the right side of the mountains or left side?

I'll only be wrapped up with the bobcat and moving shit for a couple days. I need dry to do weeds and cut wood and numerous other outdoor projects (mending barns, chicken coop, chicken run, pruning, etc.).

Grants Pass is a city up against the west side of the Cascades, but in the south end of the state, and is surrounded by mostly Fir trees (some pines). Most of the "rains all the time" area is the northern end of the Willamette Valley (Corvallis to Portland), west side of Cascades, deciduous trees and open fields. The Coast Range Mountains (fir trees), west of the Willamette Valley and all the way over to the beach, are also in the rainy area. So, if you look at a map, the soggy portion of Orygun is 1/4 of the state in the NW corner.

What part of the state did you live in?
My first 18 years was the northern end of Soggy Valley (Willamette), 20-40 miles west or southwest of Porkland (we moved around a lot). Then the Air Force had me for 6 years all over the globe, then back to the Porkland area for a few years, then a promotion to an experimental division of the company in Redmond, so I lived in Bend and Redmond (snugged up on the east side of the Cascades, dead center N-S, called "high desert"), then I ran around the country for awhile again (Montana, Arizona), then back to Redmond, then to South Dakota just over 15 years ago.

So you're basically accustomed to a lil wet weather.....:teehee:

Which I assume is why you're not there......:giggle:
Yeah, very familiar with wet, but I was either a kid with no outside duties or an adult who worked in an office/lab and didn't have to deal with it except to go to/from my car. Outside activities were restricted to the 30 or so dry days per year. :) Central Oregon was dry most of the year, so I loved that side of the state.

Yes, the wet is one of my major reasons for getting out of Orygun (and the Kalifornicating Socialists which is why we left the dry side too). It is so nasty to open the closet to put on clean clothes and they are already soggy.

I hear that....my son who lives near Tampa said he had to toss out a couple leather jackets due to mold growing on them in his closet.....now that is some humidity.

Guy I talked to said he was buying an industrial building in Medford, not sure where that is, but it's to long of a drive for me.
Medford is south of Grants Pass and, while still technically on the west side, is much drier and the surrounding area resembles Steppe. Oaks,. Pines, dry grassland. Very near the northern Kalifornia border. Only a couple hours to Crater Lake and lots of nice powder skiing,

I remember one summer in Soggy Valley where we went 100 days without rain, Oregonians seriously thought the world was ending in a drought. But normally, they have rain at least a couple days out of the week all summer and 5-7 days a week the rest of the year,

Need a truck with ladders and equipment. If it was closer and needed the work, it would be a nice drive.

When the sun comes out, a lot of people report UFOs. :D
Seriously, when I was a teenager, the governor had some bumper stickers made up that said, "Last year, 365 people fell off their bicycles... and drowned."
There is a restaurant east of Phoenix which says on their sign "If the sun is not shining the food is on the house"....:)

That state sure has a diverse ecosystem, bet its beautiful.
I have driven through 30 of our states, British Columbia, Canada, Sonora, Mexico, England, Scotland, Wales, Italy and Germany. If I had to pick the one place with the most beautiful scenery and diverse topography and geology and opportunities for a zillion recreational opportunities, there is no doubt in my mind that it would be Oregon. But the socialists who run the place have made it so UNinviting, I doubt I will ever see it again.

I don't know if she's done anything new recently, but if you ask real nice ( :) ) I'm sure she can find some time (eventually) to resend all the ones she sent before. But I better let her answer that one... hate to over-step.
