smooth edge of the rubber seal should be facing towards the glass.Hi there - could you just elaborate please. When you say the indented circles were facing down, do you mean down towards the drip tip or down towards the pyrex? Cheers

Im back! And have some interesting news to share. So I was in one of my local vape stores recently to stock up on some of my fav juice for a weeklong trip our of town. I mentioned to them the flooding issue im having (same as all the others in this thread), and they started asking me a barage of stupid ?'s until i told them everything i had tried and the one guy told the other guy i think she knows what shes doing. Shes a veteran. Well then they asked me how often i fill my Nautilus tank. And i said usually twice a day, maybe more if im not at work. And they told me i was just vaping way more than the typical vaper. They said a 30ml bottle lasts most people 3-4wks, it lasts me 4-5days !! They said im just vaping so much that im burning up the coils that fast. Im like ARE U SERIOUS? You have GOT to be joking? You WORK in a damn vape store and ur telling ME THAT I vape alot in comparison??? Something jus doesnt seem right here! So, my question for everyone on here is how often do yall fill ur Nautilus tanks? How long does a 15ml or 30ml bottle of juice last you? Id really like to know im not alone in this!
I had a problem with leaking for about four months until I just recently switched juices to the one that my local store carries. The guys that work there are super great and have tried all the juices and haven't had any problems in their tanks. I didn't switch coils or anything and I'm using the new juices and have been for several days with no leakage out of the ones that were leaking horribly with the old uses I had. I really think it's because I had cheap juices that weren't up to par. I think maybe you need to look into the juices you're using and see about trying a different vendor. There are lots of reviews on vendors on the websites that could lead you to possible vendors that might be better for juices that won't leak. I had four Nautilis tanks that were leaking and now I have four Nautilis tanks that are not leaking.
The juices that were leaking were from a company I had been using since I first started vaping over a year ago and everything had gone fine until the last two orders. Something changed in their juices and I'm not sure what. The company refused to address the issue and I found some other juices that leaked too which is why I switched to the ones I knew were working great for the guys at my local store. Not only did I get to try the flavors first but all my leaking is a thing of the past. Even though you're using juices that have worked for you before, you don't know if the company may have made some changes... Maybe even to their suppliers... That might be causing the issues.@Crymsin thanks for sharing your success story. Unfortunately, however, I dont believe that is my issue. Im already using premium juice in my tank (Suicide Bunnies and Space Jam), and always have. So the juice itself is not the issue. Ive also tried other juice branda and blends(pg/vg). Again, to no avail. Since i last posted, ive turned up the voltage on my istick to 13-15W's. Unfortunately, the 1.8ohm coils from Aspire werent really made to handle all those volts. So im now pretty much replacing coils every 3-4days anyhow so the flooding isnt happening as much as before because the coil isnt in there long enough for that to occur. I know i should switch to a sub-ohm for that high voltage but i just dont care for the way those tanks hit. Im happy with my nautilus. Plus, im not looking to spend more $ on a whole new mod and future coils.
I own an AspireHey there,
I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong section, but I have a problem with my Aspire Nautilus:
it keeps flooding all the time. After closing it up, I get about 3-4 clean drags before it starts gurgling and vapor production goes down to almost nothing. The vapor also starts to really burn in the back of the throat, and loses all the taste. I think its the place where the chimney meets the head, that's where the juice appears to be leaking in. I already bought new upper hardware which arrived just yesterday, and at first it seemed to have solved the issue, but now it's started again. When I shake the Nautilus, I seem to be able to shake tons of juice out the front end, everytime it starts gurgling again.
The only way I can get it to work is by screwing it down uncomfortably tight, so tight that I'm afraid I might strip the threads on the inside of the chimney, where it screws onto the head. I was already getting metal shavings in the juice with the old upper hardware.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so, has anyone been able to solve it?
I think the instructions are wrong for the Mini in particular; it can tighten up without the atty screwed firmly into the tank, which makes it leak. Thanks, I will be trying that next as I am still seeing some minor leaking. Nothing like before, but some occasionally. I screwed it into the base initially because that's what the instructions that come with it tell you to do.
I recently bought the original aspire nautilus because i was looking for a good atomizer for someone who does mouth to lung
and it (almost) works, i got flavour, i got great throat hit.. and i got a lot of gurgles and leaking :|
i tried to fix it, the only thing i left to try is to put a rubber ring in the coil tube like someone on youtube suggest, but i can't decide if it worth to probably damage the drip tip (by removing the rubber ring from there) and put it in the tube.
fact is: this nautilus is a defective piece of hardware
and what i can't stand, is people here trying to pose as "vaping gurus" that tell other users that problem is not the piece of junk atomizer (yes, if it leaks is a piece of garbage!), but the user that "can't make it work, so it's stupid"
Are you people serious? we wasted money on something that will inject ourself with nicotine juice, so yes, if we want to cry in a forum, we have the fucking right to do so.
Stop being smartasses about vaping, it's so fucking lame, you're lucky to get a non defective atom. or don't care about the leak, but acknowledge the fact that A LOT of other users have troubles with it, and it's not because we're retards or not informed.
Dude, i just asked for help in the post above, can you read?
Aniway, following the advice in the aspire forum i put 2 extra o-rings on top of the coil, and dismembered two new coil s in the process, i'll let you know if this worked.
Didnt knew i had to mcgyver the shit out of the aspire leakilus, i guess thats what i get for being a cry baby?
Brand new member who got here looking for solutions for my relatively new Aspire Nautilus. Yes, I have experienced leak and gurgle. I used a Protank 2 for a couple of years without issue but my wife always had leaking and gurgling issues. Now it seems to be my turn. I have googled this issue a lot and get conflicting "solutions" even in this one thread. One says store it right side up always. Another says store upside down when you go to bed etc. Here is what seems to be working for me. (1) tore it all apart and cleaned it. (2) put the coil in the base very tight. (3) started vaping like I did with my Protank 2 where I almost let it do all of the work and I pull very little. (4) Use the biggest air hole. The only thing I think I will try different is next fill, I am going to check the direction of the upper seal and then I will screw the coil into the tank first instead of to the base first. So far things are working pretty well but I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I would have love to find others who came here, griped a bit, then never came back to see if it was fixed after trying things or if they gave up and went a different way. I understand this is an old thread but it does not seem old to those of us who just started experience these issues. In the meantime, thank you to everyone who has contributed positively with suggestions even if I have not tried them all yet.
I found after much messing around that putting about 3 or 4 wraps of teflon thread tape ( the white stuff plumbers use) around the top thread of the coil - where it goes into the chimney fixes leaks and gurgling. Thin the tape down to the tread width first. This works! its a design fault the juice capillaries up and into the chimney......Hope it helps.
