I thought they might have a hand full of darts and wheel that spins with different options on itI wonder if their just looking at an outdated Farmers Almanac?

You'd think the odds would be better getting it correct, by tossing darts......I thought they might have a hand full of darts and wheel that spins with different options on it
Hi Dale, i wish that too.Hi Jimi....damn I wish you could sleep.
Is the brain working overtime, not allowing you to sleep?....I know that's my problem most of the time, but lately I been sleeping pretty good for some odd reason, perhaps working my ass off?
I understand my friend, wish I could help. The epsom salt is relaxing tho, pity you can't sleep in a hot tub of water all night.Hi Dale, i wish that too.
Yes that's what it is, and all the aches and pains, when I lay down it's like I just plugged my body into 440
Unbelievable....50 degree drop.....I think it's going to be a LONG cold winter for most of the country. It's supposed to get down in the 40's here tonight, it was 94 yesterday
Must be global warming (yeah, right...)supposed to get down in the 40's here tonight

Yup, and the same would follow others off a cliff too. They can get some people to believe anything
It's been a strange year, we had a late spring this year tooI read somewhere, it was snowing last month in the EU, forget which country, but it was snowing like hell.
Yep, I remember, and it seems like it was only a couple weeks ago....!It's been a strange year, we had a late spring this year too
Swiss Alps, perhaps?I read somewhere, it was snowing last month in the EU, forget which country, but it was snowing like hell.
No, I think it may have been Norway?Swiss Alps, perhaps?
Which is why our garden didn't finish up properly. We got a late start and the good weather didn't last as long as the late spring...It's been a strange year, we had a late spring this year too
Yeah your season is short anyway, that sucksWhich is why our garden didn't finish up properly. We got a late start and the good weather didn't last as long as the late spring...
I remember that too, had relatives in Ohio we used to visit often....damn the snow would be two feet+ deep the entire winter, now it's just bone chilling cold, with high humidity. When I was a kid we used to get butt deep snows here all the time
I remember, hell, you were getting frost into May if memory serves me correct.Which is why our garden didn't finish up properly. We got a late start and the good weather didn't last as long as the late spring...
That's just how it is here anymore, I'd rather have the snowI remember that too, had relatives in Ohio we used to visit often....damn the snow would be two feet+ deep the entire winter, now it's just bone chilling cold, with high humidity.

I've got a job early tomorrow, as usual....about my time to head that way.Looks like all us old pharts need to go get some much needed sleep....
Supposed to get frost/freeze here in about 1 week.I noticed their calling for possible snow next week in your neck of the country....we'll see, prolly be another heat wave if the predictions stay true
Yeah but your butt was closer to the ground tooWhen I was a kid we used to get butt deep snows here all the time
Say Lannie if you want you could send some of that milk to me and Sarah it wouldn't even last three days with us we love milk here. I would even be willing to send you some money if the price is right
Certainly sounds like you and Rich have your hands full...I was looking at the weather guessers predictions for your area next week....possible SNOW, I hope they are dead wrong and it's 70F with sunshine....
Lannie...like you and Rich, I simply love those sweet tasty lil cherry tomatoes....damn their good. Wish my Quail didn't eat half the potential harvest.....next year there will be a covered fence over my small garden. The damn quail even pecked at the green tomatoes, wanted to ferment some green cherry tomatoes. That WAS a joke, right? LOL! You're a funny guy.
Well, they changed it again. No snow, and now the freezing temps are gone from the forecast with the lowest low being only 40, so IF that's close to correct, we might have a little extension on the garden. I'll just take each day as it comes, and deal with whatever happens.
All the ripe tomatoes are put up now (with a shitload of those little super-sweet cherry type tomatoes in a bowl for snacking), so I guess I'll do the squash next, but not today. Any green tomatoes left after frost, I'll pickle. I like 'em pickled, and they don't upset my tummy! The peppers will be chopped and frozen, as well as the few onions that survived, so those can be done in an hour or two AFTER the plants freeze. Not a whole lot of labor involved with those. I do still have a few cabbages out there, and if they're still good, I need to make another batch (6 quarts, hopefully) of sauerkraut. The cantaloupe were still small last time I checked, so they're probably not ripe yet, but I'm sure they'll be edible, so we'll just eat those when the time comes to bring them in. I've totally neglected the summer squash, so I'll take the best of those and shred them up and freeze for later use in "zucchini" bread, and give the rest to the chickens. They love squash, and they don't care if it's old and woody. And then I need to go search for bean pods. That can wait till after first frost, though, and actually that's a better time, because with any luck all the nasty weeds will die off and I can see better in the tangle. Prolly just take my chair out there, and a big bowl, and start ripping stuff up and sorting through it. Bean pods in the bowl, weeds in a pile (maybe we can BURN those mofos!)
Today I'm making cottage cheese to have with some of those yummy little 'maters, and I need to work on a batch of cream cheese, as well as get that cream turned into butter. I have missed our homemade butter so much! The stuff in the store isn't even close, pallid, pale stuff that it is. Oh, and the good news is that for all our work, the grocery bill should shrink a little, now that we don't have to buy any dairy products anymore. YAY!
I certainly do this evening, slept about three hrs last night, couldn't fall asleep to save my ass.....Looks like all us old pharts need to go get some much needed sleep....
Been laying around today?I figured I should pop in here tonight even though I don't have much to say. Back hurting very much today so spent a lot of time lying down.
I was just about to log off -- thought maybe you already went to bed.Been laying around today?
Sounds like a winner, Rich....give the body a lil time to possibly heal
50-50 odds aren't good, I wouldn't chance it either.I was just about to log off -- thought maybe you already went to bed.
Laying around might make my pain recede temporarily, but it will not help heal anything. This spinal injury will be with me the rest of my life unless someone comes up with a total spinal replacement method (like an android body). Even surgery at this point is a 50:50 hit or miss proposition, meaning I could go through all the hassle and pain of surgery and still be no better than I am right now. Until they can give me better odds, I am just gonna keep trudging along and hoping I don't break it entirely.
I have talked with three separate surgeons. Two of them said there was little likelihood it would do any good at all and only one said 50:50. I even asked about that laser spine institute shit I keep seeing ads for on TV and got a laugh as a response. Compared to what is wrong with my spine, the people who complain about their back pain and get fixed by that outfit ("with a less than 1" incision") have nothing more than a hangnail.Aren't you allowed to go to any doctor you want, rather than the VA?....perhaps a specialist in a quality hospital could provide better odds?
I wouldn't have a clue about how to turn a VA appointment into a Mayo appointment... and how do I get there? I cannot drive my pickup across the country just to have them give me the same answer. And even if they say they can fix me, who's gonna help Lannie run the farm in the several months Mayo has me tied up in ICU recovery? How bout the Mayo clinic or Cleveland clinic?
Guess you have one of two choices, either try not to fuck it up more, or finish it off.I wouldn't have a clue about how to turn a VA appointment into a Mayo appointment... and how do I get there? My plan for the moment is to step cautiously and not fall on my ass and keep my eyes and ears open just in case someone comes up with a breakthrough method for fixing this crap that might work for me. Quitting is not an option.Guess you have one of two choices, either try not to fuck it up more, or finish it off.
