Did you check to see if it had been chipped? (in case it has an owner)
Most all vets and shelters have scanners for the RFID chips. Pretty unlikely though for a kitten.

he goes to the vet next week, so i'll find out. but he was half feral so i am pretty sure he wasn't born domestically.
Well, he's a beautiful kitty. 
He'll probably be scared for awhile, but with patience, care and some space, he'll come around. Cats are very social animals, they like having a companion.
Tiki was a stray rescue, but had been owned for sure as she was litter trained, fixed and de-clawed in front. She slept next to me the first night I bought her home. =)

Our Daphne the one-eyed kitty got picked up from her spay surgery and her eye removal. It looks far better than I expected it would. She's currently in mom's bedroom with Biggie, everyone's favorite blankie. There's also a new rescue kitten in mom's half bathroom, she's been there for a week. I can't post photos of her until she lets us give her a bath, she currently looks brown and gray; she's supposed to be gray & white. She has "Kitty cold" and is in seclusion - other than visits from us for eye meds, and the occasional Biggie visit, which means he goes in, eats her food, and leaves.
I'll post photos probably Sunday or Monday if I can get Daphne to hold still, and Murmur the kitten to let me clean her up a bit.

Thank you for the kind words CaFF. Had a juice vendor on my fb friend's list. Commented about being allergic to cats and therefore all cats should be killed. Needless to say he won't be getting any of my money ever.

This is Lucky she was found as a tiny baby under the hood of my car, by Ricky our GSD, 2 days after a 70 mile road trip mainly freeway. She had hitched a ride from the in laws. She needed to have her tail amputated. Is great now.

I'll drop the vendor name in a convo if anyone wants it. I'm not going to bash in public but the attitude was as follows.
Simply put I was asked to friend the guy during a vapers.tv show/chat a few weeks ago because I commented I had yet to find a chocolate vape from a vendor that I liked. I added the guy on fb and heard nothing/saw nothing until the post on the Peruvian cat hospice and the comment that a friend reported as hate speech on my behalf as I was at work basically read "You may as well unfriend me now. I'm allergic to cats and as such see no good in them at all. The feral cat problem and cats negative impact on the environment there's no reason to fight for them like this."
As soon as I could figure out how to unfriend on my phone I did so. Never did end up getting juice recommendations other than "his line." Given I've heard mixed reviews I'll hold my $ until I hear trusted friends say they really really like a particular flavor by a vendor. All that said I make juice at work now, for the shop I work for, I'm still tweaking my own chocolate so it doesn't taste like syrup-thickness police coffee - yeah that's what most chocolate vapes taste like to me - burnt syrupy coffee.
@Savage_46 - as soon as I have $ on my debit card (probably after the 1st of the month) I'm ordering from you, just need $$ to make it happen.
Haha! That looks just like my bathroom sink and resembles my Tiki, except she wouldn't be caught dead in a sink.

I have cats, ergo I have more piles of stuff than I do floor space. Of course I have the stuff of 6 people in a house that only has 3 people in it. Some of the stuff has been here since before I moved here in 2010. The cats (mostly) came later. Don't ask me to shoot photos of the cats on the carpet. If I had the 3 hours a a day to vacuum daily I wouldn't do it because 10 minutes later it would look like I did nothing.it's official....he's a boy. and acts like one. no manners.

I'm lucky, Tiki doesn't like most human foods...except tunafish and sometimes plain chicken..
She didn't even move while I was taking the pics...just opened eyes a bit and was like ..meh...

She never jumps ON me, just as close as felinely possible to my head.
Try having 10+lbs of cat coming down of a 2' jump and land close enough to your face you can feel the fur brush ya.
Or, a newer tactic if I'm covering my head from chewing: Cross-Jump the CaFF. She leaps over me from side to side until I acknowledge her.

AItey, after coffees and vapes, I walked over to Petco and got the kitty nomz.
I'm $30 lighter, but she has good food for the month now and I'm pretty sure she likes it...
Chicken, Chicken Liver, Duck & Salmon...it goes bye-bye in a hurry.
(I don't normally feed her there except treats, but wanted a trial snack to see how she liked this new flavor of food)
Not a speck was left.

this cat belongs to people in my bldg who just had a baby. she likes to chill in this box I leave out for her. we're buds.
Almost looks like my pugsly who passed a year ago... from first breath to last breath 16 years of faithful pain in the ass. I miss him dearly he was a funny little guy.Delia the vaping unicat!

No pics with this one...argh The joys of massive cat-staff problems. The cats are grouped into 2-3 groups here - Upstairs, feral and downstairs. The upstairs is the largest bunch right now, and we have 1 of the bunch who is the biggest pain in the ass who now needs 2 pills a day AND special food for 30 days to see if it clears the issue. I'm going to have to invest in a full set of motorcycle leathers and a helmet just to pill her, as the food has to be a dry food + massive amounts of extra water, and I'll probably end up having to start giving her sub-q fluids daily or weekly. My well behaved-patient as all hell cat, hated the 5mls of fluid I gave him for learning how to give fluids. Ah and how to keep her only eating the healthy food, not the other food for a month...its rather too bad that Fasttech doesn't sell sanity. I could use a case or two right now.

So pilling the cat likely won't happen, the vet is going to see if there's an injectable medication I'd rather give her shots once a week than give her pills 2x a day, even if its more expensive, I'm way too attached to my parts. She looked at the "good diet food" and went NOPE. and proceeded to stick her nose in the grain-free kitten food, which is better for her than the Friskies she normally eats. So I'll be hunting all the area Wal-marts for a 30lb bag of the grain-free no-unnatural dye food(s) to see if we can find one she'll eat. We know they all LOVE the Evolve brand but its hit or miss to find it anywhere around here. So that'll probably be how I spend the early part of the week.
Loverboy will literally regurgitate pills. To the point where the capsule disolves and the medicine will start foaming in his mouth.
I have the vet give him shots because there is no way in hell we are gonna get a full 2 weeks dosage of antibiotics in him any other way

Oh that's awesome!! We're saving up for an amazon prime membership so that's on our list for sure!
@CaFF We usually get a few grain-free options here, its just there's a lot of cat owners and most stores cater only to dog parents so the cat end of things ends up short on everything. Its one reason I shop at walmart after 11pm when they're throwing stock so I can get all the food in one or two trips instead of having to make 3-4 tries in a week to find what we need in stock.
Yeah, one reason I moved here is I have a Petco two blocks away and a local place; Northwest Seed & Pet that is a bit farther away.
My last cat died at 8yo from renal failure out of the blue and in about a week.
I blame Purina....all she ever ate was Meow Mix. Otherwise, she was healthy as could be.
Weaned her myself from a dropper as a kitten. She was part of an abandoned litter after the momma had disappeared at my folk's house.
Now, I feed the good stuff.
My last cat died at 8yo from renal failure out of the blue and in about a week.

@CaFF , I am so very sorry to hear about your kitty’s passing. Thankfully we now have better food and medicine at our disposal, extending cats' live, and giving them a better quality of life.
Being a first time cat guardian, I wasn't aware that most cats, until recent years, succumbed to renal failure. Renal disease is an insidious one. I thought that Boo was drinking and urinating more due to the summertime heat, but, a blood panel a couple of weeks ago indicated that she was/is in early stage renal failure. I am so glad that this was caught early! She is now given 1 ml of Benazepril daily.
