Definitely nothing fancy, but I wanted to try a dual coil on a Kanger Subtank Mini.
26g kanthal, 5 wraps each. 2mm ID, comes in at 0.26Ω.

Simple build

20g kanthal 6 wrap dual parallel on 3mm id @ .10 ohms

I haven't gotten to the advanced builds because I enjoy the simple ones and the production is great in my opinion :)

26/46g Nichrome fused claptons. Two strands of 26g lovingly wrapped in 46g Twistedmesses Nichrome 80. Dual 7 wraps around a 3 mm bit is .15 ohms (as per the Sigelei box-which usually reads lower than my ohm meter). These coils are simply delicious. Flavor is intense and well rounded, vapor production is very good. Vapor is comfortably warm, fairly dense and smooth. Definitely a nice go-to build when in a hurry. Coils absorb an exceptional amount of juice so minimal wicking is required to enjoy these lil guys. Cheers!

My first Clapton, 36g n80 over 28 gauge k1, 2.4 mm I'd 5 wraps. Its ugly as hell but I ran out of wire and didn't feel like getting the drill out

Simple staged Clapton - My First! :D
If you've seen my previous builds, you'll understand why I'm so happy...

Anyway, it's 24g/28g kanthal staged with 22g kanthal wrapped 5 times around a 2.5mm post. Haven't put it on the meter yet, but I'm figuring around 0.6Ω according to steam engine. SE doesn't really give too many options for this build.

No macro focus on my phone, so this is the best picture I could get.

Also, do you think this will work in a subtank mini on an iStick 100W? I like the builds on my other RDA's and want to keep using them for a while.

Yikes then I would have no clue on how to contact with twisting posts. Your Clapton wire is thick as hell! Lol.....I'm sure someone here has an answer to that question.

I just took another look at the SE calculator and figured out how to put in this coil. It says it should clock in around 0.22Ω

I'll try it out with one lead on each side of the contact screw instead of 2 wires on one side and see how that goes.

I don't think it'll fit. Too much wire for the screws, and it's quite wide for the subtank at 2.5mm ID. I could bring that down a little, and possibly just screw in the core wire and staging wire, but I really don't think this is going to work.

Funny thing happened while I was trying to get it in, though. I thought I was screwing in the hole, but it turns out I missed and was just screwing between the legs. This made me laugh...

The wraps aren't all even, so it bugs me. Ohms out at .5 exactly and I've been liking it so far at 45-50w, definitely a difference over a regular build.

Remove the Clapton on The lead going under the screw. The wire isn't part of the circuit so its OK to take some off the lead.

I killed it. :(
It was barely fitting between the posts. I should have brought down the ID to maybe 1.5mm to make room for the leads. Live and learn.

I'm definitely getting fuller flavor than even a twisted coil, but the biggest difference for me is there's no ramp up time but it never gets hot either, just lukewarm. I'll probably tear it apart soon since I am getting less vapor than I expected though

30g/26g kanthal Clapton on the subtank mini. 5/6 wraps, 2.5mm ID, comes in at 0.87Ω. Excellent flavor at 42.5 watts.

The 4th wrap over is a little bigger than the others because the coil was originally 3mm, but wouldn't fit in the RBA. I tightened it up, but that little bugger just wouldn't get any smaller. Got everything to fire evenly though, so all's well.

@CrazyChef I tried something similar to that one with my subtank mini and 32/26 Clapton but the airflow took to much of a decrease for my liking. Maybe I did something wrong - how's the airflow on yours?
Also, I've been quite busy and haven't been uploading my builds recently so here's a taste of my experiments
544e5794fe7f5d2161ee0bf6cee8d625.jpg
okay from top left working my way left - right:
Quad 26g 6wraps ID 2.5mm
Dual de-cored 26g Claptons initially wrapped around 20g 16wraps 0.4Ω
Quad (2x32g)/26g 3wraps ID 3.5mm
Quad 26g 4wraps ID 3mm
Dual 20g 8wraps ID 3.5mm
Qugot20g 5wraps ID 3mm
My apologies for not having all of the Ω readings as I don't have a meter and my only reference point is from my KBox mini which I only use to charge my batteries since I got my mech.
I've had so much trouble getting a quad coil to work to my satisfaction and am hoping my current attempt will suffice (haven't wicked it yet) and also, 20g has caused me nothing but discomfort - I only posted a couple of the builds I've tried with it but they were all basically failures (I've listed reasons on each individual section of the collage). Any ideas of what will work or should I just give up on the wire since I got the 50' for free anyways?
I have a velocity coming to me in the mail in a couple days and am soon going to purchase my first TC mod so maybe that'll influence weather I keep trying stuff with the 20g or not.
Also, here's my building supplies minus my clamp, drill, and a few other odds and ends
7592bb687bbfeee0172a0511dd89833e.jpg
*UPDATE* BEST FLAVOR EVER! I really didn't think this type of build could influence flavor production as much as it is. I'm so pleased to finally have a proper working quad coil setup for the first time evar. Yayness!!

Got home from work and thought I'd just BS around and build a quad vertical setup in an IGO W3 with 28awg kanthal 4 wraps per coil around 3mm screwdriver which came out to 0.26 ohms. It replaced a dual vertical 26awg kanthal 8 wrap per coil with 3mm inner diameter.

It's as fine as it can get on a subtank mini. Just make sure your coil is raised high enough away from the airflow hole underneath it.

@KayOhBe
I highly recommend getting an ohm meter since you build a lot. I own a kbox mini too from the subox mini starter kit (my first vape gear) and it is inaccurate for real because it rounds to the tenth decimal. I mean, a 0.41 build causes the kbox mini to read it at 0.3 sometimes (jumping reads). lol thats ridic

Love love love my ohm meter tho. It reads to the thousandths and is claimed to be accurate to 0.018 ohms. Oh and it is MADE IN THE USA :D

So this is my 2nd build on my RDA my first build was 24 kanthal 3mm with 8 wraps and I was around .37. Than I tried doing 10 wraps at 3mm 24kanthal to get .5 ohms messed up that build. Does how close your coils are affect the ohms and if they are more up than centered. Should they be centered or pulled up. I could be doing the wraps wrong. Now this build was the same but instead 9 wraps and I got .43 I've been aiming for .4 so I've gotten closer. I still am new to all this. Here's a few pictures of my build.
Also when I fire my coils and mess with them to get them right before wicking is there a certain wattage I should do it at.
