How was your day, Rich?

I slept a grand total of two hrs last night, damn pain in my abdomen was horrific .....MRI Tuesday. Four hrs sleep in two days while working both days, makes Dale a dull boy.

Yeah. Whatever happened to common sense and logic? Is there no one alive today who is willing to be responsible for him/herself?

Nope but Chef Boy Ardee canned pasta was being pushed as a good food for moms to feed their kids...

It is just the overall attitude producing commercials was different.
Hard to explain and have no idea of all the interactions of cause and effect in the changing of the American society.

Today's weather forecast as of last night: Partly cloudy, no rain, high of 65 degrees
Today's reality: It was 44 degrees when we went out for morning chores, heavy drizzle, and so foggy you could barely see 100 yards. The fog dissapated after noon, but stayed overcast all day, misty, and the high temperature for the day was only 47. It is raining right now.

Here's the difference as I see it: Commercial comes on, the creature says, "I have seven seconds to sing. BUY KRAFT COTTAGE CHEESE." End of commercial. All they did was tell you the name of their product and tell you to buy it. It was up to you to decide whether you wanted it, whether is was good for you, whether it was a good value...

Today, it is all lies and deception to try to get you to believe something that is not true. For example, one of my favorite cereals when I still ate cereal - CHEERIOS. Made from oats, right? Oats are heart healthy, right? So the box has this insignia on it declaring that Cheerios are heart healthy. They are NOT! They did not earn that insignia; they paid for the right to use it. The extrusion process that Cheerios uses to make their cereal is, if anything, extremely UNhealthy. But they figure they can make more money selling you a product that you think is good for you, so they lie and lie and lie. And, if you pay close attention, no matter what the product is, every manufacturer is using the same tactics: blatant lies, deception.... brainwashing the idiots. Who are too fucking lazy to do a little research to find truth. Kinda goes with all those signs above, huh?

And now stations feel entitled to play the commercials at double the volume of the program, because the FCC is not enforcing the law Obama created to keep commercial volumes the same as programming. this is not about politics. It's about someone not doing their job So, I feel obligated to hit the mute button when they come on. I don't want to hear the lies, especially at a volume that will give me headaches.

Slept like a rock, Rich.....finally felt good this morning.
THAT is very nice to hear.

Personally, I didn't sleep worth a damn last night, but not for the usual reasons. Another of the feral kittens (SamWise, AKA Sammy, Peanut's brother/litter mate, though he is twice her size) decided he wants to live in the house instead of the garage. Now I have to admit, OUTSIDE, I always pet and snuggle him, so it wasn't all that weird that he came inside when I did, but he refused to go back outside, so I let him sleep with me. He snuggled, face-to-face, kissed and licked, rubbed cheeks with me, etc., then went to sleep on my leg while Peanut was curled up under my chin. But 15 minutes later, he woke up and got in my face again, licking and pressing cheeks until I woke up and petted him, then he went back and slept on my foot. Fifteen minutes later, same deal. He kept that up all night long, so obviously I never found REM sleep. OH, and hey, after his very first introduction to the litter box, he started using it. I just love my kitties... :D Y A W N . . .

I have one in a box that worked fine when I put it in there.
Printer/Fax/copier thingy.
I knew you'd have one in a box, in the basement, in the attic, possibly lost in the fire, but somehow knew not one setup in your *Office* which sadly burnt.

The printer that I use right now claims to also be a fax machine (you use the scanner function to do it) but I do not have it connected to a phone line.

I have a phone line, but the phones are unplugged...so when some spammer calls, they get the fabulous sound of a fax machine blazing on their end.....:)

Get any snow today?.
Nope.
Today's forecast: Partly cloudy, afternoon thunderstorms in the area, 30% chance of precipitation, 0.12-inch accumulation, high temp 60 degrees.
Reality: Mostly overcast, high 65, thunderstorms broke loose all over the place just as we were finishing evening chores, rained like hell and is still raining (guess accumulation will be around 0.50").

I took a glance at your weather earlier this evening, when I was checking mine....noticed a bunch of green blobs-lines in your area, with more on the way, if the wind still blows from the west NW.

I noticed my sweet potatoes with the huge leaves are drowning the sun from my melons. I need to thin the SP vines next weekend.....damn, those things grow like bindweed....I swear they must grow 10 feet a day....in EVERY direction.

We've got plenty of rain here lately. With the 1.25" over the weekend, we have received close to 6.5" this month. The pecans that survived the summer heat are nice and plump. We might have a decent yield this year.
