She find a good fermenting video on Utube?
Unknown. She can answer that tomorrow. All I know is she had me pick some green 'maters... uh, wait, that was yesterday, not today... and then she cut 'em up and boiled some jars and... well, I quit watching...

I guess it's between pickling and fermenting. They get covered with brine, but not canned, just covered and let sit. I had a few nice cucumbers I wanted to make fridge pickles out of, so I used that brine solution to do a jar of the green tomatoes as well. I couldn't leave them whole, they were too big, so I cut them in wedges. Eh, we'll see how they turn out. They SMELL really good. Anyway, the cuke slices and tomato wedges are sitting on the counter for three to four days, then the cukes at least will go in the fridge. I'll play the tomatoes by ear. :)

She's every bit as hard headed and stubborn as I am. She'd do her damnedest to take care of me AND the animals until it all broke her too, then we could go to hell together (I understand that's where the parties are).
Yeah but in hell it is either heavy metal or Lawrence Welk.

And now we have the fabulous Lennon sisters accompanied by Iron Maiden.. Enjoy...

I suppose then I should tell Lucifer (hey, that;s sounds an awful lot like Lucy Fur) that I like heavy metal so he'll (hell with an apostrophe?) punish me and make me listen to Lawrence Welk (which never really bothered me).

So I guess some old phartz in Germany escaped from a nursing home to go out head banging :giggle:

Nursing home escapees found at heavy metal festival: police
That is funny! The demographics of nursing home patients are changing. Where I work (long term care & rehab) we have folks as young as 20 right now. A hospital will shove ones ass into a rehab center to get rid of you. Insurance won't pay for extended stays in hospitals anymore and some folks don't have the family or set up to be cared at home.

I hated working in the Milwaukee inner core (ghetto like). Most of the residents were in their 40s and 50s. I was tired of listening to rap crap on my shift. All of them smoked cigs and other stuff. It was a very nasty job. Luckily, I figured out after 3 attempts to work in the core that it was not worth the money. They paid big bucks but the atmosphere was horrid.

Have a great day Old Pharts!

Combining a couple posts (this is just the trigger), here's a philosophical question:
Let's say the heaven/hell concept is real (please, no religious discussions - play this ala Twilight Zone or horror movies)
and you croak and end up in hell. (First, can you go to either place without dying?)
OK, you're in hell and LucyFur has glued headphones on ya and is playing continuous rap music (or Yoko shit - either is a killer).
Now, if I was still alive and that happened to me, I would commit suicide to get away from that torture (waterboarding sounds like fun compared to rap), but if you're in hell (i.e., already dead), obviously suicide is not an option, so now what? An eternity of rap crap? Can ya repent after you're already in hell? How many "hail marys" would that be?

I would end up on a episode of "Preacher". (It's a show on AMC that is messed up). I'm trying to live a decent life without causing others pain or suffering. I'm hoping never to listen to rap crap ever! :)

P.S. My (make believe) horns pop out of my skull when I'm out and about sometimes. I can't believe all these folks driving around are so deaf and they listen to rap. I just want to blow up their car. I suppose I'm a evil bastard for these thoughts! :)

There is the theory that hell will be what you expect it to be; so be careful, it could indeed end up being rap music for you

Some denominations believe in the intermediary place: purgatory, where you pay for your sins before being allowed into heaven

About that purgatory, I've asked ministers about that, and where it is mentioned in the Bible. They got upset at me. My thinking is "why get folks to believe about a place that is not even mentioned in their own literature?". Churches seem to not want anyone with questions.

I always thought that New York City was just another spelling of hell?
I think that would actually be L.A. -- Los Angeles, by the way, is not the real name of that city. It is El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río Porciúncula. Now, translate that to English, it means "town of our lady the Queen of Angels of the River Porciúncula," so ya got this lost queen of angels floating down the river, which sure seems like Hell to me.

Just thought you'd like to know, Dale, you were right about the rain. o_O
Remember last night, about 11 PM, I gave you our "official" forecast for today, as of that very minute. The weather guessers said, "Partly cloudy, 85 degrees, 20% chance of rain." Well, the reality was that it was totally overcast until after sunset, 81 degrees, with embedded thunderstorms in all directions. When I went out to do evening chores, I spent half an hour standing in the horse barn, doing nothing but vaping and watching lightning dance around the sky, trying to stay out of the flood of water raging across the corral from the very heavy rain. I'd guess we got nearly two inches in less than an hour. One more time the National Weather Service proves their heads are so far up their asses they couldn't predict when THEY will take a shit.
Rich, was it grass cutting weather today?
Uh, no...

And one more thing that might tick you off (being as hot as you have been): It is 10:38 PM and the temp is currently 59 degrees with 60% humidity (that's left over from all the rain today).

Yeah, it must be that global warming stuff, huh?
Prolly in some folks minds...but I haven't been hearing much about it lately, since it's been the coldest weather in decades (or on record) in many northern countries.

In spite of the "facts" (and the proof that the global temperature records had been falsified), some agencies are still pushing that stupidity (like NASA, --- and NetGeo --- trying to tell us the north pole is melting) and all the environmental groups claiming it is "man made" when CO2 is much less than before, etc. I just wish it wasn't so easy to brainwash all the idiots with "group think."

Last I looked, greatest ice pack in a generation.....:wait:
Yeah, I know, and aircraft photos show it as such, but NASA is showing pics from orbit that depict it as otherwise -- obviously photoshopped. How can they possibly think they can get away with these lies when we have other sources? And why are they still trying? I understand that during Obama's reign, they were directed to tell these lies, so who is pushing their buttons now? The current admin doesn't believe in global warming, so are they taking money on the side from someone else?
