So have most of my RDAs and RSAs in a bath...normally do this once a month...normally pull wicks when I know I wont be using a RSA/RDA for a while...but man some of these were filthy with residual juice...although most are going to long term storage.

Already on the 4th pass and finally the water is staying somewhat clear... probably do 3 more passes and call it good.

Then grab the DataVac and dry everything off and stow.

I think I'm done with the wasp...I just can't stop juice from crawling up the sides of the cap and into my mouth....tried less cotton and it still does it..I've tucked the cotton off the cap (which no other atty has given me a problem with)....I love the air flow on it but it's just not working out for me with this one...sigh.

Me too - that's (currently) my favorite setup. Flave 22mm.
I've been building 26g SS, 3mm, 5-wraps spaced, in the range of about 0.4 ohms.
I have some 24 g in the mailbox today, to try a 6-wrap that should be about 0.3 to see how that compares...

I can understand that...but I just use 26ga SS....works perfectly.....damn good flavor...!

I tried the 24 first, then made a 26, at 21 watts, the ramp up is a world of difference.....personally, I prefer the 26 better at low wattage.

Yeah - ramp time may kill it for me too, I hate lag...and I run single battery mech...
Just wanted to try it out. :)

I'm able to get that octopus with b2k RDA Thursday but found one more to add to the list. Also getting a Purge squonker mod Thursday as well.

To date honestly the NEO with the Haku is the best vape I've had to date..I think the 510 on the NEO is making the difference in power delivery it's just smooth but powerful....the modmaker 510 set up just doesn't seem as good even with the silver upgrade...I'm thinking voltage drop is playing the difference between the two...it's just truly a better vape even using the same atty...need to find me some moddog 510's

I just can't figure it out...hell I even tried builds with a smaller i.d. so I can use that much less cotton...whatever juice is in the well just crawls right up the cap....has a major vacumme thing going on I can't figure out.

I'm moving on to a B2K and a GR1 atty to try next.

Well shit I think I might have figured it out....my cap on the wasp is extremely loose..it comes right off with very little to no effort...I'm thinking maybe it's sucking air from between the cap and seals helping with that vacumme issue...guess I need to try a thicker seal and see if that helps but I doubt I'll just order some to try it...lol

Try to close airflow holes with your fingers and take a drag, if your theory is correct it wouldn't seal completely, right? Mine seems completely airtight, but I still get liquid in my mouth.

I've found that closing of the airflow a bit helps.

@Michael H. I get similar issues, and part of it was solved with a short 510 driptip. Yes, I can still oversquonk unconciously, but a mouthful is now rare. Try both. (I'll look at my orings, too)

When I wick the Wasp, I use longer amounts of cotton on the sides which I tuck under towards the squonk hole on the deck to both hold more juice and keep if from doing that.

Sometimes I will also tilt to the side in between the air slots to make sure I see a little extra juice in there. I never had juice shooting or dripping into my mouth unless I over-squonk.

Most times, 1-2 actions of press-and-hold for 2 seconds, letting it suck back each time, of the squonk bottle is enough for a good 10-12 puffs on a 3mm ID simple spaced round wire build.

My experience tells me that you are likely not using enough cotton out the ends of the coil, or are not wicking tight enough with a thicker amount of cotton than you are now.

The Wasp has become my favorite squonking atty, over the Nudge 22, OG Goon, OG Velocity, Pulse 22 and the Druga 22.

I'm pretty much done with looking and were I to buy another atty for squonking, I'd likely get another Wasp Nano, but with the polished clear cap and SS deck (current one is the frosted cap and SS deck).

My only niggle with it is that the o-rings for the cap are pretty loose, so you need to be careful not to pick up the mod/atty from the cap or the cap will come off easily, with almost no resistance/friction holding it, but as long as it does not leak, I can live with that.

You have a point with testing it..I'll check that out.

Helps a little..but still like a flooded tank coil...still not enough of a fix for me.

I'll have to try the long tail wick...I typically build on a 3mm i.d. and like to spread the cotton for quick absorption...I'll give your idea a shot though.

Guess I shouldn't mention where the Haku ranks in my Voltage testing using my Neo Mara eh?

Do it...I get better flavor, more sweetness and a bigger cloud from the NEO than any other mechanical squonk mod I've used to date with the cruiser...by far my favorite combination.

Not crazy long, just down to the bottom o-ring, and then I fluff it and fan it out too, since after cutting, the scissors compresses the remaining ends together, then I tuck the ends of wick first and hope that they reach near the squonk hole in the deck without covering it. I never measured an exact length but to the bottom o-ring seems to work.

After tucking the cotton in, you can always pull it up a little with your tweezers so it has 'shoulders' that are even with the top of the build deck if needed.

i found doing it this way, the cotton holds a lot more juice after you squonk.

Condesation and juice tends to sit/ settle on top of both deck posts on the wasp , keeping them clear seems to help a little more ,
as you take a draw it tends to drag up juice along the cap to the mouth
its why i gave up on wasp myself, even with a 510 tip installed
tends to happen less on the flave RDA,
But the sxk le concorde has been my go to for quite some time now,

Filling the deck with cotton, as far as I can tell so far, completely rids of the issue. I can't even oversquonk if I try. I'm incredibly pleased about this, right now ;)

You know that's the name of it right ModDog Nano 510, comes in 22mm and only recently have they been selling it in other sizes...(MD that is)

View attachment 113485

EDIT: And you can pick up the wrench also from them...

View attachment 113486

On the moddog site it's two different 510's...even price is different...I'll have to check on diameter for the nano but it looks smaller sort of like the MM 510's.

For reference, the Neo is the Nano 22 ;) or at least mine is.

The Classic Series 22mm is slightly different... being there isn't a locking bottom nut like the Nano Series...and is also a 12mm thread and 22.5mm total length (15.5 to the nut a contact would want to hit )

Nano 22 is the one with the smaller nut on the bottom and the threaded area is 10mm and 17.8mm total length (12.3mm to where the contact would want to hit )

The Nano 22 will allow you to utilize the bridge connector, whereas the Classic wont.

My brain is overloaded with squonk for sale in the VU hardware section...timing really sucks though for me...dedicated to two purchases Thursday to just over $200.

Now I find at least 4 more I want for the collection yet just not doable with this check coming up as other things in life are needed as well...guess bologna and cheese is ok for another 2 weeks...stay tuned as my thought process takes a recess.:gaah::cuss2:....:kickbutt::headbang:

It does kinda suck. You're the only one buying at the moment. The rest are in competition to sell.

Rocking this guy now.
Anyone got a link to a freaking wrench to fit the nut inside the gbox? Today it was fighting me over TC and - Lo! - it was the nut being loose again.. That's the 2nd time I've used needlenose to tighten it and it's bothersome.

I am just stopping myself from buying another mod. Somebody please tell me that Dotmod squonk mod is a waste of money for $54 and I should not buy it

Didn't even try the radar honestly. I like the loop, but isn't as foolproof as they lead on.
