Well, at least you're getting the OCC bridge out of it....I was gonna send it to you anyway, but there you have it. Who knows, you might just get the DT in stab.wood at some point. ....

As I said to Jmoney the other day... Hope I win his monthly drawing for Tips... have him make me a 2 foot long Jobby just out of spite LOL
About his drawing...
You don't get a tip made to order... You get a choice of his other fuckups people sent back or refused when they saw pics...

Haha.

Makes sense now huh?

Hey brother - sorry you did not get what you wanted.

You did your best to convey the design, and it seems the consensus here agrees, but him being a designer, methinks he should have been able to execute as per your request, so it is he that failed, and not you.

Live and learn I guess?

Thanks for sharing all of this here so that others, including myself, do not make the mistake of trying a custom request from this guy.

You're not shaming him per se, but simply sharing facts, which serve as a cautionary tale. I appreciate this detail.

ETA: word in bold for context

I had maniacal thoughts of grandeur... obliterated by your liquid fact

outside of that its the hype train of random pictures of it in a boro and others saying how great it is ;)

I think it looks better than the VS... available on svoemestoitalia.it (Secured Site) and the modders site swissvapetechnology.ch (Not Secured )

Why do I feel like this guy has a big bucket full of these tips made in China or India?
Tbh... Completely he got busted a couple months ago blatantly selling shit from fasttech...

I'll try to find and post a screenshot. I saw it and thought him a hack but ended up ordering a set and getting similar service as SoCal...

Well, I'm no expert but I based my comment on the shitty workmanship (sharp and rough edges) and atrocious glue/epoxy job. Honestly, Ray Charles could've done a better job (yes, I'm well aware he is no longer among the living).

So the name of the maker/seller of this drip-tip fiasco is called Chris Gillard?

Just checking to make sure I dont fall into the trap later on and want to get the facts straight...

His all show the metal base and if I get an acrylic or something like that I'd want it flush.

Plus I don't think he does buttons and I want my shee-ot to match lol. I'm fancy like that.

After trying the SXK clones of the Exocet, the Insider, the VapeShell, Aspire Triton RTA (in the A-tank), an Aspire Triton 0.5 Ohm Clapton coil (in the A-Tank), an authentic Bastard Coil (with a vertical 0.2 ohm SS notch coil), Kanger SSOCC 1.2 Ohm NC coil head, Kanger SSOCC 0.5 Ohm Kanthal coil head, and the Kanger-style RBA head...

I think my favorite of all of them right now is the Kanger-style RBA head. Right now the build I have in it is 6 spaced wraps of 30g SS316L on 3mm ID, which comes out to ~1.2 Ohms, and in TC mode with a TCR of 0.00111, I am running it at 13w and 420F. I have it wicked with a minimal amount of cotton, which I thought would be gurgling or leaking, but it's ok, and even less than what I used previously in this atty, and less than what I used in the Insider, all with my DIY 90VG juice.

This build is giving the most flavor so far, with a restricted DTL and no J-wraps condensation plug nor one of Troy's @troydestroy DryPlugs at the moment, with no condensation seen yet after 3 refills of the boro. the vape and clouds are both very satisfying, with a surprising amount of nice moist heat at the drip tip.

Below is a screen cap of the Steam Engine settings:

Mt5VQF8.png

I am going to see how this performs for a while and if I decide to keep using this setup, may sell off the duplicates I have of the SXK Exocet, SXK Insider and SXK VapeShell, and I will post here first to give you guys first dibs.

Also, I did not forget about measuring the displacement and capacity of the various attys that I have and reporting that info, but life has gotten in the way. I hope to do that and share here either tomorrow or Sunday. Sorry for the delay to those who may be waiting on this info...

Thanks Troy.

As you may remember, I have 2 of your first run of the restricted DTL DryPlugs, and when fitted it's a little too restricted for the Kanger-Style RBA head since it already has a restricted airflow.

The DryPlugs work better for me on the Aspire Triton RTA and Triton Clapton coil head since those have massive airflow holes in the positive pin, and are too airy for me without it. It's good to have options.

Interesting thing with this build I have in there now, is that there is no condensation with this atty until I go above 11w, so it may be a factor of RH% in my environment and some intersection of power vs airflow at the bottom of the boro tank...but I am not versed in the science of how this works.

I may be looking to try some of your other DryPlugs with the different airflow-size options.

Maybe you could offer a bundle or a sample pack?

LOL @troydestroy inserts a plug for his plugs!!!!!
Seriously, I've been using them for my MTL setups and work great. I took off the AFC "wheel" from the Insider MTL and put the TroyPlug MTL. On the other BB I have the Aspire BVC bridge and MTL plug; it is a bit more air than the Insider MTL but still comfortable for me (in case you're wondering [NOT] I like a very restricted MTL).

Yep.

Depending upon the atty and the build inside and the native airflow that results from that combo, the DryPlugs are real problem-solvers that let you 'fix' the airflow without those fiddly rings spinning around the bottom of the coil end...I never use those at all.

Oh yes, and they ALSO (LOL) absorb the moisture so you don't have a drippy mess all over the inside of the panel or on top of the screen and buttons,

I am glad that Troy @troydestroy is making the DryPlugs as I could never find the Tweakings plugs in stock anywhere, and the ones from J-Wraps that snap into the bottom hole of the boro when the boro is installed into the BB, do not make a perfect seal and some moisture still escapes.

That's a great idea! I actually just ordered new revisions to the DL/wide open and 1mm MTL as well as a completely new 3mm RDL... And all in black. ABD "always be designing!" Lol

Should be for sale in ~a week!

ordered an sxk tmnbb

just backup to authentic black

liking the bb
so a minty green flavor then?

My Dober SXK DNA60 came on WED via USPS. Looks nicer in person than in photos. I vaped on it for 2 days to make sure all is in order, and then cleaned it and packed it all back in the box, as this one is to be my backup BB, while the rat black SXK DNA60 will be my daily beater.

I dont see myself getting more than 2 of them right now, just one for use and one as a backup as I have all the attys I could get my hands on, and like 12 boro tanks. I'd love to be able to get just a boro glass and o-ring set, a few sets actually. I had purchased 2 replacement glass pieces when I got the rat black one from Gas City Vapes and had to use it yesterday when I was changing out the boro and when unscrewing the drip-tip key, the boro plopped out and hit the edge of my desk and fell in my lap and when I picked it up the glass was cracked at a perfect diagonal from the top left to bottom right.

There was a company I found yesterday that sells polycarbonate replacement pieces for the boro tank's glass @ ~$6 ea + shipping:

i think it was either 3f or 2f who have glass and oring sets

i agree, 2 is enough. 2 BAMs, 2 tmod duallies, 2 BB [1x auth, 1 x clone]

i do plan to accessorise, particularly the black one

Thanks for finding & sharing that link :)

I also need to source the rectangular o-ring that goes under the glass, but it's great that 3F has the glass and upper and lower o-rings for only $3 :) but if we approach $6 for everything, one could get the authentic'Rescue Kit' from BBV at that price.
I'm pretty sure 3F (or was it FT?) Has the glass and square gasket for 2 bucks or so.

Hmm weird, my reply didn't post...

Who has one of the MF bridges?

Worth it?

EUC coils shit?

Guess I'll do a quick search in this thread, maybe I missed the discussion.

I have the MF bridge kit but I ordered the wrong MF coils. I should get the right ones today.
