No, but if power packs for cordless tools and the such and cars are all going to 2x700..............
if...
Cars seem to be and some power tools too.
And I figure laptop batteries will go to the high cap 5 amp or so 2XXXX cells.

Oh, I'm not selling all my mods and replacing with shiny 2X700 mods. I haven't sold one mod. My OG provari has a layer of dust like an expensive wine as it has been sitting for years.

I buy about one mod a year. I had a sxmini with the 350j chip in it for a few years.
Put that chip into DIY dual cell enclosure.
A couple years passed and I got the slice.
A year passed and I got the sva dna75 clone.

I purchase when a new technology entices me, not the flavor of the week. It's not that I limit my budget to one a year but that nothing really motivating has passed by me much more than once a year on average and I've vaped since around 2008.

Been thinking of getting a couple of 20700s for the Pulse BF mod.

Does anyone know if 20700s fit in the nitecore D4? Thanks.

Right, but that’s because 26650s have internal resistance much higher than 2x700 batteries. I think the latter has a better chance of becoming the new standard than 26650s ever did.

Trust me, I’m not about to bail on my 18650s any time soon but I am much more hopeful for these new generation batteries with higher amp limits for better safety... more mah would be merely a bonus.

I don't know what 26650's people are using with high IR but my hohmtech cell still has a measured IR as low as my fresh VTC5A and that has the lowest I've seen from any other 18650 I've ran. My 26650 is just about a year old now too.

I have zero complaints with mine, hits like a train for a single cell and lasts me a regular work day with about 20% left in the tank when I get home.

And yeah, if the new cells can handle more power within a safety window, thats good for us and vapers in the news.
Will the darwin award recipients move down from 0.1 to 0.05 ohms, yes. But the ones that run around 0.2+ will do it safer for longer with a better quality hit.

I like 20700s, the promise 21700s have for the future of vaping.

Even before the VapeCell Sanyo 20700a rewraps were announced, you could get them for about $8 a pop, granted you had to work to get them out of a DeWalt cordless battery... they were authentic and get 10 for $75 and change.

I think many of us with a ton of mods in the 18650 will stay the course for the reasons we all like... to me its not about if a 2x700 mod is larger or heavier, already disproved that when I built my 2x700 orca and placed it side by side with my Molly...splitting hairs I know...

Anyway, the way I vape now (45-50w) and the 50+ 18650s I have to the 4-20700s, it will be a while before I change my mind...not that it cant change, but for my needs, no change is needed.
I'll stick my internal battery mods/devices most of the time.

Another day (night) dusted...
Ouch the sun!
Quick meal, a dog walkies, close the blinds.. zzzzleeep, rinse.. repeat...
Had a little fun puttering around just now, bought two more of the Alliancetech BF kits for my other Petri V2's.. lucky to still find em in stock somewhere but no US shipping so going to my Paris address ...hopefully they'll get em to me by Christmas.
A bit steep for what it is but hey. ...they work so perfectly.. Not gonna trust myself with a drill and still less than getting em Catfished.
If you put it in the Signature Tip or beauty ring expense category ...I got a smokin bargain!

Welp... Catch up with y'all later,
Big silicone squeezes to yer
Have a super weekend!
Bro I did mine the other day with a coppervape pin and I drilled a small hole. I know you said you dont want to drill but it basicly guides you right to the perfect spot to drill the little bit of deck ypu need to drill.
Then again I was in a hurry and had forgot I didn't have a pin for my petri v2 to go on my dot squonk. obviously I couldnt just throw a different atty on there! Lol

I can buy around 2.5 3000 MAH batteries for the same as for 1 20700....
Costs more per MAH and I do not mind changing 3 batteries per day vs 2 if 20700.

Yep I pick what I want to use and am not driven by what the vape companies want me to buy.
I do not follow fad or fashion.
Not a problem either since I have enough hardware to last me the rest of my life.

And so far there are only a very few 2XXXX cells that really beat out the 18650's much for over 20A vaping.

then too there are some problems with some 2XXXX cells not fitting very well in mods.
And NO I will NOT use an 18650 adapter sleevy thing in a 2XXXX mod.
How can it be far and fashion if you yourself said it's a better battery? Weather it's to big or not is personal preference, same as price point. Im using 20700 and 21700 and they're good batteries. Still use my 18650's all day as well.

NiCad batteries seem like last week. I'm sure replacement 18650 won't be around forever. And with only 300 charge cycles...

Anyone looked into lithium tungsten? Few internal batteries are going that way owing to lower heat and better chemistry.

The iJoy 20700 is a decent battery but the VTC5A hits harder, also the iJoy 21700 is not really much improvement over a VTC6.

Too bad the Sanyo 20700a's or Samsung 21700-30T's are not readily available.

it was like that with 18650 prior to sonies hitting the general market

AW were top, who were a rewrapper

i agree on the sag though, look at mooch tests to verify that

Oh boy! That sounds yummy. Almost sounds like "nutra-loaf" or "loaf", which is jail food alleged as punishment.
Yes, you can imagine in having our own apartment I will indeed bake up some nutra-loaf. That stuff is akin to food gold as far as I'm concerned. All the nutrients you need a half cup serving of something resembling bread chunks, scarf it down without need of utensils. Stay hydrated which I've been being keen to do anyway.

God Damn It

Xtactly. Bet this fully kills Road Dog. like the Youngs and other band member he too has racked up the hard miles.

@The Cromwell , My humbled apologies. I checked the band's site as well as other sources. You were indeed correct Malcom did face off against Dementia. always difficult for me to hear of, read of, discuss that prick of a disease.

My grandfather Badgley (Big Nerny) had it, it took six big ass orderlies to literally drag him back to his room in the old folks home. He was going home to "mother" because he knew it was time. My grandmother as far as I'm aware still lives in a home in Harrisonburg, VA.. She definitely has dementia and has had for quite some while. she is my mom's mom.

Indicators suggest this "skips" generations, which lines me up for a double whammy. Got it on my mom and dad's sides respectively. i'm loathe to imagine myself "working at ordnance disposal" and doing literal defenestration of genuine bombs thinking "oh gee everyone needs some rain". I genuinely do fear aging due to this, don't want to literally go off the rails, not that i'd have too far to go but ... yeah.

Hm, I'm going to go pretend to be jealous over the Drop RDA. I think Spanky got a prototype, he's been doing the happy vape dance. Usually means he's onto a a good thing, presently that Drop looks like a good thing. I have it in my 3F cart awaiting the funds to swell enabling facilitation of attaining myself one. ... ... ... Huh? "It puts it into the basket, ..." Okay, i'm having fun with stuffed shirt writing this morning. Need to find a Juan Guy, he'll have :coffee2:.

if an 18650 gets you through a bottle of juice, there is no benefit even for regulated

it's not a huge difference

but yes, shit for mechs

Kind of what I had suspected, ergo reluctance to entertain these "new" batteries and subsequent mods for them. Figure too like the Internet they'll be a fad. ;)

Nice one, good on ya..
I've been considering that but kinda want to keep the original insulators in tact. Definite OCD thing I know shut up. ; ))
The Alliancetech kits ended up $45 shipped for two of em, something I've had on my 'to buy' list anyway (which escalated quickly when they weren't in stock anywhere anymore!!)
I'm a big Dotmod fan (both pre & post the fallout yeah yeah)
Your Dotsquonks are giving me shinyitis-envy dude...but I'm not interested in the DotRDA at all either, good idea methinks but not too well executed. Oversquonk city. Plus in every promo pic I see of the 'kit', the atty has overhang. Just an eencyweency bit but would drive me mad. No better solution than a V2 like you said.. cloud cap, drip tip matchy-matchy heaven oh-my!
The Petri V2 is one of my favorite RDA's, I have a couple 1.5's too which I love...same difference really.
I'm trying to get my friend at Dotmod to give me the scoop on what's in store for the custom doors.
He's not budging!

Changed button. Little careful drilling by hand. Never liked the button. Now it's perfect. But. Gotta watch sticking it in pocket. Sticks out more.

Nooch continues to test 2XXXX cells for test results go to https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/blogs/mooch.256958/

Snatched this from ECR, mooch latest results.

Bench Test Results: Eizfan 40A 4800mAh 21700…irresponsibly overrated, just a Samsung 48G rewrap, DO NOT BUY self.electronic_cigarette

submitted 6 hours ago by Mooch315

Bottom Line: This Eizfan cell is identical in appearance in performance to the 10A Samsung 48G.

Yi Fang Technology Co., you have lost your minds rating this cell at 40A. Vapers and vendors, there is no reason to support a company that has this little respect for our community or concern for our safety. Do not buy this cell.

I am rating this Eizfan at 10A and 4800mAh. Its maximum vaping amps (MVA) limit is 15A, limited by voltage sag.

Think I'll buy a fuchai squonker and try the 20700 in it. Don't have a regulated squonker at the moment so thinking I need one. Why does thinking cost money usually?

Sent from my SHIELD Tablet K1 using Tapatalk
Just be forwarned, the Fuchai has a 5ml bottle and you can't fit any bigger ones in it.
