This effect was done with equal parts White Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide heated to a boil and then repeatedly applied to achieve this look :)

Thank you so much for this tip/home chemistry project :) I've been doing a Coppervapes Brass and it's just really cool/fun. I know I should stop now, 'cause it looks fuckin' killer (mine has maybe 20% bluish tones in there, perhaps the brass alloy is different), but I don't know if I can stop now....Bwaaahahahaha

Am I the only one that has avoided it simply because of the battery/bottle door design? It bugs me that to take out the bottle you have to open the battery compartment.
That's the same idea as the Wraith, but in this case you have to deal with two batteries and the bottle.

so... i rushed through floris check out, clicked the add to cart on thumbnail page, which gave default options

... including not drilling the 510...

i have a drill press, thinking delrin could easily grab, so new bit for a pilot hole + 11mm hole, shallow quick incisions, kinda tap tap tapping my way through

amIright?

I could see that annoying some people for sure. But since dual regulated sqounkers are rare, beggars can't be picky lol

I still think Kanger got it right on this particular design decision, but I can see where it would just make sense to swap batteries at the same time as filling the bottle, so maybe it's not as bad a decision as I thought.

I have the Dripbox 2 and the Wraith. I had a 160. None of the issues raised have ever proven true in my experience. The Wraith door requires some care to use properly. It's still solid and reliable in my experience. I could see where ham-handedness might present problems...

If it hadn't shipped send him a message with your order and tell him you need it changed, he's accommodated me more than once as a result of my derpiness...

I've never ordered from that company. Any history with them? Good, bad, indifferent?
This vaping thing has resulted in me ordering from many different overseas sites. I'm just trying to make sure I don't end up using a questionable site. :)

Chris
I've never ordered from them either personally.

I once had someone ask if they could put a "glowing red nail" through the box to make a different hole.
Uh.... sure?

The small amount of delrin I've actually worked with was all done using high-speeds and slow, slow pressure on the feed. I can't say how your mileage will vary, as with anything I'm just adding another opinion to the internet lol

Just pilot then 10mm, or gradually step up do you think?

I'm not sure a pilot hole is necessary if you are using a press and can get it fixed to the correct position before drawing the bit into the material....
if I were somehow ever brave enough to attempt it with a handheld I'd go for a pilot hole though. I could see a bit just walking all over this stuff.

And 10mm isn't too large of a bite at once if you have a quality bit and the proper speed / control of depth. I'd probably opt for a steel cutting bit to stay away from the chiseled edges on a wood bit, I could see them being problematic on a plastic.

Buuuuuut you'll also have 22mm of 510 plate covering it. As long as you don't go completely bonkers on the hole you will be able to cover any imperfections.

If you choose the brad points, you will want to bore with a single pass. The "brad" needs some meat to stabilize the cutting edge.
A standard, all purpose twist bit should, of course, use a pilot hole to stabilize the cone shaped tip.

I saw a video where the reviewer sniveled nonstop about that. Apparently he was fooled every time he opened the door. Didn't stop me from ordering one, should be here tomorrow...:)

I got used to it with the Wraith - it ain't no thing. Bugged me a lot at first though.

Delays in firing, accuracy, efficiency in terms of battery life..balanced battery charging and discharging..the usual

Working on testing results. Should have a formal review done in a few days. Battery life is good. Seems the same as most dual battery mods. I don't test balanced charging as I don't recommend doing so in any mod. Power mode is accurate and temp control works well
