It has been a crazy year, I am anxious to get a crop in, I am hungryGood lord, that shit just won't stop....!
Kinda odd isn't it?
Damn that global warming, it must be sending the N & S Pole weather down and upward.....
It will probably go from 35 to 95 the same week, and stay there till fall.....It has been a crazy year, I am anxious to get a crop in, I am hungry
You're about one degree colder than us at the moment. Can't even think about tilling my garden yet - still a foot of snow out there. Forecast is talking 50s this whole week (maybe even a 60 in there somewhere), so maybe this shit will melt. It's going to be a late one this year Dale it's 33 out there right now and they are calling for snow tonight
I bet the same thing happens in your neck of the wood, go from cold to hot as hell...!You're about one degree colder than us at the moment. Typically we get about a month of "warm" before the "hot" gets here, but there have been times when we had the wood stove going one day and wished for A/C the next.I bet the same thing happens in your neck of the wood, go from cold to hot as hell...!
I sure hope it don't, it's done that before here and it really sux when it does.It will probably go from 35 to 95 the same week, and stay there till fall.....
That's how not is here now. A day or two of the AC, and then a day or two of the heater.Typically we get about a month of "warm" before the "hot" gets here, but there have been times when we had the wood stove going one day and wished for A/C the next.
That's usually the type of weather we get, but it's been really nice the last few weeks.Typically we get about a month of "warm" before the "hot" gets here, but there have been times when we had the wood stove going one day and wished for A/C the next.
That should melt it but then you have the mud to contend withYou're about one degree colder than us at the moment. Can't even think about tilling my garden yet - still a foot of snow out there. Hahahha...haven't heard that in a long time.....I was hoping for a real spring this year but so far all we got was sprinter
I love tree ripened orangesWas looking at my fruit trees today, have grapefruit and oranges the size of golf balls already.
I planted some blood orange trees in Ecuador, hope they are surviving....it's been raining like hell there the last few weeks, which has put a tabash on finishing my house.I lone tree ripened oranges
Already when I go out to the horse barn and chicken coop, I am wading through mud about 6" deep. Sometimes the suction tries to pull my boots off,That should melt it but then you have the mud to contend with
There are quite a few pecan groves in Arizona. I didn't know that until about six months ago.The peach tree is loaded this year. Yay! If only the birds and bugs leave it alone. It's still too soon the gauge what kind of pecan crop we might expect.
Temps of 105° for a few months don't seem to harm them for some reason. But then, pecan is the Texas state tree. There are quite a few pecan groves in Arizona. I didn't know that until about six months ago.
I was surprised too....hell, 105 ain't nothing when it comes to heat (here).Temps of 105° for a few months don't seem to harm them for some reason. But then, pecan is the Texas state tree.
I love um to....put them in smoothies with other things.I love pecans and most nuts could eat them every day
Last year, we sold about 700 pounds of pecans, just from our 6 trees. Some years, we do better.I love pecans and most nuts could eat them every day
Oh...I also put pecans in my (flourless) banana pancakes....incredible...!I love pecans and most nuts could eat them every day
Holy shit....that's a LOT of pecans...!Last year, we sold about 700 pounds of pecans, just from our 6 trees. Some years, we do better.
I'd be in heaven with that many pecansLast year, we sold about 700 pounds of pecans, just from our 6 trees. Some years, we do better.
You'd probably freak out a bit if you saw us with several plastic totes full of pecans. Even more so, if you saw the giant plastic sacks they dump those totes into. Last season, we got between 50 and 75 cents per pound, which is a decent price, until you see the prices charged at stores for them.Holy shit....that's a LOT of pecans...!
Hmmmmm....Flourless banana pancakes sound deliciousOh...I also put pecans in my (flourless) banana pancakes....incredible...!
Indeed....the price of pecans is about the same as macadamia'sYou'd probably freak out a bit if you saw us with several plastic totes full of pecans. That sounds good too SarahOne of my special recipes is for pumpkin pecan pie. Make a pumpkin pie the way you ordinarily would, but stir crumbled up pecans into the mix. Yum yum.
You'll like um, and cheap to make....the older the banana, the sweeter the pancakes are.Great Thanks Dale copied and will try them
Oh yeah....delish....!!One of my special recipes is for pumpkin pecan pie. Make a pumpkin pie the way you ordinarily would, but stir crumbled up pecans into the mix. Yum yum.
One year, we accidentally had a pumpkin vine grow. We got one really nice pumpkin out of it. I made 5 pies from scratch with it. Pecans went into every one of them, and nothing went to waste.Oh yeah....delish....!!
You ever try using coconut flour in them instead of the gluten freeYou'll like um, and cheap to make....the older the banana, the sweeter the pancakes are.
If I'm in a store, and remember to ask the produce guy if they have any old banana about ready to toss...I ask for. Have have gotten so many I had to throw half away.
I've tried coconut, banana, almond (flour)....nothing tastes better than just bananas.....You ever try using coconut flour in them instead of the gluten free
