YouTube, my dear. The forum and YouTube are some of your best tools.I need to learn how to re-wick :/
I just started wicking myself. Took me 3 tries to nail it without spitback and I got it perfect. So don't give up after a couple of tries. I'm not sure if your tank is like mine since they both have RDTA in the title XD but I'm using a vertical coil on a tank that's meant for two coils. Even then, I was getting heavy spitback from just one cotton covering the whole deck. So make sure you thin the cotton when you place it into the coil so it's not to thick. That's what worked for meI need to learn how to re-wick :/
Say it ain't so.Never use soap on vape gear.Bad Huckleberry bad.LOL hello again! I washed mine up today before I put it together... I used dish soap and hot water, thorough rinse. Sometimes with just a flavor change, I'll hot water rinse, wash the drip tip. Easy peasy. Of course, you'll have to re-wick.
Oh dear...Seriously?Personally for me, If you need a really good clean, I usually disassemble. Remove orings, then soak in vinegar with a little salt mixed in for a few hours. Then rinse off everything in warm water.
People stop it please for the love of sanity.Just soak your stuff in dirt cheap vodka and rinse with distilled water.
Stop using damn vinegar and soap and fucking tap water.
Say it ain't so.Never use soap on vape gear.Bad Huckleberry bad.
A. I don't keep alcohol in my house. 12 years sober, not planning to change that anytime soon.Say it ain't so.Never use soap on vape gear.Bad Huckleberry bad.
nothing wrong with soap. regular dish soap is a great cleaning agent that is gentle. it can be used to clean off car parts and air filters. I've used it to clean off exhaust wrapping when it got soaked in fuel. hell it's used to clean off animals during oil spills. I wouldn't use hand soap or fancy soaps but regular old dawn or Ajax or Palmolive will work fineA. I don't keep alcohol in my house. 12 years sober, not planning to change that anytime soon.
B. I've found dish soap to be the best thing, IME to remove machine oil. Haven't had any issue over this method in a squeak over 3 years now.

Wrongvinegar is better.
Sorry wrong...best cleaning agent ever is spit.it's one of the best cleaning agents out there for anything.
Then how come every car manufacturer and electronics manufacturer use pure ethanol to clean car parts instead of vinegar?vodka works too, but it's more harsh for less results then vinegar.
I have never ever heard of this happening ever.vodka can eat paint off rda's , vinegar wont
Distilled only most tap water is vile.Water.
Never use soap period.Soap and water.
I hope you like pickles.Vinegar.
Yummy salty pickles.Vinegar and salt.
Are you insane? Two parts vinegar one part hydrogen peroxide (peracetic acid) short rinse, handle with care!
Ever smell a really old pan?Why not dish soap?
We were talking about cleaning a dirty atty.To clean a new atty just wipe it down with a bit of distilled water on a paper towel.Vodka is terrible to use on a brand new atty, IME
Ever smell a really old pan?
Now imagine vaping from it.Oh yeah that's going to taste great.

Please don't be upset with me as I had no way of knowing this...Cheers!A. I don't keep alcohol in my house. 12 years sober, not planning to change that anytime soon.
Well keep it up then I guess.B. I've found dish soap to be the best thing, IME to remove machine oil. Haven't had any issue over this method in a squeak over 3 years now.
Actually only 1 brand is used for that.hell it's used to clean off animals during oil spills.
That is shocking...Well maybe not.Snake is the first poster I've ever seen that claims you shouldn't use dish soap on attys.
Nope, not upset, just sayin'.Please don't be upset with me as I had no way of knowing this...Cheers!
Wrong

Crud is crudYour analogies are not very spot on IMO. Attys are not auto parts or dirty dishes. Different crud, different processes that create the crud.
Oh yes I have.Although not recently it seems the manufacturers of vape gear caught on to the fact that we don't like getting equipment with a fuck ton of machining oil in or on it.You've never cleaned one full of machine oil then. Totally leaves machine oil residue if it has a lot on it. Fact.
Use whatever you want...Frankly I don't give a fuck...Cheers!wrong but i'm assuming this is a joke
depends on the part (i work in the generator industry) most of the cleaning done is from using simple green, sometimes depending on what it is (like i said we cleaned fuel out of exhaust wrap) we'll use dawn dish soap. We used to use misty, but then it became illegal in California due to causing cancer. It also stripped the paint off everything. ethanol is used as a fuel treatment to eternally clean engines, but i haven't seen it used when you take an engine apart. even the rare acid bath is used more. especially on radiators an acid dip is used to clean them out. Most visual parts of car engines are cleaned with armor all or dawn and water. thats what dealerships use to make the engine look all clean and new on used cars
alcohol is a solvent it can strip paint, not as good as say paint thinner, but it surely can. Vodka eats up everything. thats why it's versatile. you can put fruit or gummy bears in vodka to infuse it. just let it sit and it eats it away. It's for sure more harsh then vinegar, more expensive then vinegar, and yields worse results then vinegar so why use it? as a pet owner i use vinegar to clean up accidents and litter boxes so i always have it. it's not harmful to pets where vodka is. Vodka would be the least practical thing to use. Not saying it doesn't work, of course it'll clean but it's not ideal or practical
I don't either, but people asking advice shouldn't be told impractical things. Sure i can wash my car with a toothbrush and it'll work, but i would never tell someone else to do it when there are better more efficient products.Use whatever you want...Frankly I don't give a fuck...Cheers!
I gave my advice sorry if you think it's impracticable...In the meantime live and let live...Cheers!I don't either, but people asking advice shouldn't be told impractical things. Tap water is not vile, well unless you live in the sewers.Distilled only most tap water is vile.
I bet you really smell.Never use soap period.
I do.I hope you like pickles.

The fact that you don't understand something doesn't make it insanity. Are you insane?

If you think tap water tastes as good as American Summits or Waiakea then I feel sorry for your taste buds.Tap water is not vile, well unless you live in the sewers.
Yep my nose works just fine thank you.I bet you really smell.
Most people don't have their own source of fresh water.I feel bad for people that have to drink tap water that live in big cities like NYC.I'm on a private well and the water quality is excellent

A few years ago even my fair city started using (GREY WATER).
Fuck that noise...Really.
I've heard the same about the water here, and it is quite good.I don't what you have heard about NYC tap water but it's considered among the best tap water in the world.
That I have, I kinda always forget about it being in the cabinet, but no, I wouldn't drink it, either.91% Isopropyl alcohol. I just soak the parts. Then shake off the excess. Evaporates fast, and clean. I'm 9 years sober, and haven't touched a drop Lol

I lived in NYC for about 3months.I don't what you have heard about NYC tap water but it's considered among the best tap water in the world. My 2 cents, I use Vodka and hot water. First a pre soak in Vodka to loosen everything up then I add hot water to break everything up.
Where is here?I've heard the same about the water here, and it is quite good.
They have found dangerously high levels of Caffeine and Mercury in river-fish.If tap water is good enough for you to take a shower with, then it's good enough to wash your atty.
In the past everyone drank tap water and they managed.
I still drink tap water, only time I buy bottled water is when I'm traveling in a third world countriesIf tap water is good enough for you to take a shower with, then it's good enough to wash your atty.
