Yes, I do get delays from time to time. When they happen I try another browser or my phone. When it happens in all 3 browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) and on my phone I take a break from trying to read the forum.

I am actively trying to replicate this issue, keep in mind that it might very well be your home internet connection. If you think however its on VU's end please just tag me (@CJ and / or message me with a tracert to vapingunderground.com)

I'm on an unthrottled 250MB (yes, big M, big B) pipe at work, so pretty sure it is not my connection. I have a 60mb connection at home, so probably not that either. My phone on LTE perhaps. When it acts up next for me I'll shoot you a tracert. It has been pretty fast this afternoon though.

@CJ i notice it most when
1. you hove rover the flag for notifications
and
2. when you are scrolling down a page that has a long list of replies. It freezes about 2/3rds of the way down

I've been on oc48 lines at a data center and still had intermittent issues occurring with some outside services, so keep in mind it might not be at your location but perhaps a drop down the line or a hop here or there.

While this is true, it would only make sense if it was a group of users who happen to in the same line. It seems to me its wide spread and sporadic. Which while it may be something down the line, it could still be something on the server itself or something in the software itself.

Especially when hovering over the flag and scrolling long pages

Damn those hops too...

I thought it was just me, but yes I started having problems with freezing and site being slow yesterday afternoon after work, seems it's worst when check notifications, everything just freezes and have to refresh the site.

Happening here also. The last couple days have been harsh. It's definitely the website itself. Everything else is running with no issues for me, just VU

It is exceptionally bad right now, 20-30 second delays on page loads, and complete freeze requiring refresh if I try and click on the flag

It does that. These are complex machines that are almost as fast as the human mind. Even I slow down on occasion but not often. I asked one of the Doctors @ the University after I obtained my Masters Degree in computer science why computers work. He said, we don't really know, but it's Bitchin' !

Hypothetical......I wonder if this thread could be causing the forum freezes
http://vapingunderground.com/thread...-credit-giveaway-ends-7-28-2015.107204/page-4
I'd put money on it

1 thread shouldn't make the whole site freeze up though, could understand if your opening that thread, but if you're checking notifications for example, then that thread is not loading and should make no difference, unless the server is being overloaded of course, which means joe needs to buy a bigger one :p

I haven't any issues today so maybe so maybe there has been some clean up. Servers sometimes slow down when one or two fans go bad causing them to heat up, easy fix though.

ok i give up. Apparent @CJ has had a few days off since he didn't bother to respond to the issue. The forum is unusable to me at the moment. I will check back in a few days. But if someone can't bother to update us that they are working on it, then Im gone. @CJ said he couldnt replicate the issue then blame sit on the rest of the internet causing the problem.

Joe makes a crap load of money off this site with the advertising. He could at least keep the users and teh people who pay for advertising updated on this. I can't even get through a thread to the first unread message without waiting 3 minutes. trying to scroll through the new posts list to see hwats new is impossible

I can understand having issues, but tell us something

While I am not the VU IT specialist, I can tell you that the Admins and Mods are talking behind the scenes about this right now.

Its not like we are ignoring the issue just that we have NOTHING AT ALL to share with you at the moment.

Once we do have something and better yet have it fixed, we will let you all know what is going on!
