So I like to save a bit of $$$ well mostly time and shipping cost. I don't always have $75 to $100 for flavors in one shot.
As an alternative, and after contacting McCormicks, they told me you can evaporate the alcohol and water from their flavoring. Since alcohol evaporates at a lower temp than water, and water evaporates at a lower temp than PG... I did an experiment.
Using cheap vanilla extract (mainly vanillin, alcohol, water, pg) I put some in an espresso cup (ceramic) made a holder and suspended it over a tea light (candle) until it stopped creating steam. (ie no more water content) leaving me mostly pg and flavoring (with a much smaller water content if any)
How does this theory stack up as a fall back between orders? *some flavors are pretty strong, like peppermint, so I just use it from the bottle. *again, alcohol, water, pg flavor*
