Everybody's gonna die of something. And those of us who smoked for decades, might still succumb to some smoking-related ailment. But at the very least, it may give us a few more years of good life, healthier and more comfortable life. And it sure as hell lets us buy more neat stuff, instead of wasting so much $$$ on stupid cigarettes!

Yep.
But one cannot say for sure that vaping saved their life.

Quality of life...
It is mostly in the attitude of the person.

Some people that have everything blow their brains out.
Some that have nothing are quite happy.

Life is to a large extent what you make of it.

But yes I may live longer with vaping and I smell and feel better than when I smoked.
And the wife has more money to give to the Grandkids.

Interesting convo - now GFY

"Oh yeah!?"

...

"Well, GFY to you as well!"

I hacked the first phrase! --- I hate this fucking place! ---- "This place fucking hates you, too."

Bah, damn M.I.T. humor. Not that I've been there mind, rather have like many enjoyed reading about the hacking pranks students there have pulled off.

My mom used to have this quote which is attributed to Lincoln on her fridge: "Most people are about as happy as they make up their mind to be." He was a smart man.

Andria

"If you think you'll succeed, you have. If you think you'll fail, you have." Attributed in part to Henry Ford. He managed to somehow tune himself with Buddha, who quipped "Think you're happy and you are, think you're sad and you are."

Everybody's gonna die of something.

Yes indeed. I hope my next time dying I'll stay dead. Come back to pick up the so called job of loving my wife. Being as candid as I may given most folks will say I ought not recall it, when I was dead I heard a neutered voice that is a voice without any gender inflection ... it said "You have work to do." Then, I come back and well I've lived on since. Each morning prior to waking that voice calls out somewhere inside refusing to be ignored or put on snooze. Wife has told me, I do not get retirement, bad enough I am tired already don't need to get new tires. So, I suppose my next round of dying won't last either, she'll bring me back. I get no vacation.

Also with all of us dying and death not giving two shits if you're transsexual, gay, straight, black, purple, red, yellow, green, brown, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Shinto, progressive, conservative, Democrat, Republican, man, woman, youmg, old, healthy or not, .... why in fuck's sake does it matter to any of us? Here let me put my name badge / label / sticker on so folks don't get me confused ... *name badge reads*

"INSENSITIVE BASTARD(tm) (c) (rights reserved)" .

There we go, that's me. I got no fucks to give ... well I do but you understand my point. :) I'm a crank and don't care. It's my right to say war is stupid, more so than whale vomit used as perfume. My right to say anyone on the planet going hungry is a fucking shame on political leadership, oh wait we don't have leaders except maybe that Mr. Putin & Mr. Norris, Mr. Rogers.

Before I get flack about Putin, I admire him because he got Russia fully out of debt from the IMF & World Bank, go look it up, it is a true fact. He also has balls enough to continue allowing the U.S. to have nuclear weapons. He could deny that too, quite easily enough. No, he lets it be. He shows his people how to lead, by example, he says he is no leader but only doing as his people need. So yes, I respect & admire him as a human being. No, I'm not naive enough or hypocritical enough to not know he has been no saint. Few truly have though, ergo why saints are so rare.

Alright, excuse me. I need off this damn horse. Figure I'm :deadhorse: at any given and likely to some extent being a pastor to the congregation's singers. I'll go digress and look at something on the CIA mind Kontrol device a.k.a the Tell Lie Vision.

Only in America....

REDDING, CA - Several people in California and Virginia have been treated by ophthalmologists after putting sunscreen in their eyes to view the solar eclipse.

Nurses told KRCR-TV that they’d seen some patients who had done that because they didn’t have the recommended solar glasses.

Many of those patients were reffered to eye specialists.

Doctors and poison control stress to never put sunscreen in your eyes, and to rinse it out immediately if you get it in your eyes.

Yeah, I read awhile back about an old guy who died by using Efferdent to clean his dentures - while they were still in his mouth

Guess it foamed up and it got in his lungs...

I ma getting too old for this.
Heard a pop today followed by hissing sound. Went to investigate and found water all over bathroom.
Ran and shut water off in basement.
Investigation showed that the end had popped off of one of the vanity faucet supply lines.
Shut off the valve and went and turned main water back on.
Glad I was here only maybe 10 gallons made it into bathroom and into basement thru water supply holes in bathroom floor.

But the fun part was going upside down backwards under vanity to replace hoses...

One thing though those little LED headband lights are the cats ass.

<3 me some headlamps, lol

But upside-down backwards is the price you pay to be cheap frugal and fixing it yourself

My husband installed that water heater we bought last year, and saved us over $800. I love being married to someone who has tools and knows how to use them. :D

Cheap and frugal for a reason. A few of them actually.
I think lawyers become plumbers to make more money.

I am sorry you had to go through that though - HATE those types of boners - and we fix them ourselves also. As a small person who is handy with tools - I'm usually the one who has to cram into those tight spaces

So, Harvey is STILL not outta here -- heading your way, Cromwell -- and now we have to worry about fucking Irma, which MIGHT be heading right for the south Atlantic coast. I've already seen enough rain in the last week to do me for a good long time.

Guess we won't be having a huge drought this year.

GFY errybody... and happy Friday too. :)

Ohh harvey showed up a bit after midnight last night.
Bit of wind and quite a bit of rain.
No panic from here.

I can't figure out what today's weather is gonna be, to save my life. When I got up at 10:30, it was windy as hell, then it rained some. Then the sun came out, and still is, here and there, sporadically, and still pretty damn windy. I'm keeping the cat in, because she doesn't like windy weather anyway, but jeez, I wish this shit would settle the fuck down!

Sun is trying to come out finally - one of those weird rainy days where the sun comes out while its raining, rain stops, rainbows, sun disappears, rains cats and dogs, another sucker hole, big rain again, another sucker hole, mist - now sun coming out and wind kicking up....

This year been a very wet year for us. Usually by Sept I only have to mow the grass once a month because of little rain, not this year. Its like cutting hay weekly when it drys out enough to actually cut grass.

Explains well why I've gotten a jungle around us here. That and my waiting on my wife to buy me a rather expensive trimmer. I am not going to use the other trimmers at hand here out of the principle of it.

Strongly disliking having to sit on my hands doing nothing, yet given the situation there's naught else to do genuinely. Makes me feel as though I'm being painted as a heel of a person what lacks basic competence & is freeloading. Then too, I also realize there seems an attempt to 'gas light' me here from someone who has no idea of what they're meddling at doing.

Need a good heavy bag to cut loose on. Although, I figure it would not last long enough to suffice me spending out the cold rage boiling inside. Hoping we can soon be out of here. Too many external vectors for which I lack control. *long & deep sigh* Life eats toe jam but I reckon that's better than the alternative for now.

I was just trying to survive having both of them underfoot for 3 days. :D Tonight we had one of our traditional holiday cookouts, steaks on the grill, baked spuds, salads. No dessert, but none of us had a millimeter of space for it anyway. :D

We had yet another garage sale Saturday and on Sunday I gave away SEVEN full boxes of fake food - much to the consternation Mr Juicy - until I pointed out I was sick and tired of seeing him getting hauled off in ambulances and that next time might result in him never needing any kind of food at all or even worse: me feeding him the baby food of my choice after changing his diaper and wiping the drool off his chin
