I stumbled upon another vendor this afternoon that offers a caffeine shot in your juice for an additional fee. This is the third time in one week that I've seen a vendor offering caffeine spiked e-juice. This seems to be a new thing and is slightly concerning to me. Although we've had centuries of experience absorbing nicotine through our lungs, inhaling caffeine seems like it is something completely new. I wonder, if any, what the ill health affects of it could be. I also wonder if this is something that is going to be readily accepted by the vaping community or something on the fringes like certain juices that claim to have medicinal properties are. Also, since there aren't any clear regulations yet, what's to stop vendors from spiking their juice with a little caffeine just to get you more addicted to it so that you buy your juice from them? And what's next? Adding aspirin? Seems to me if we start adding all sorts of other stuff other than nicotine, then e-cigs start looking less and less like cigarette cessation devices and more and more dubious, especially to those who would want to legislate to over regulate it or even ban its manufacturing by mom and pop operations.
Any thoughts?
