Canada Day flash sale snagged me a Furyan Mod for $30 CAD, worth it?
Yes, unless you're unlucky like me, and get one whose bottle cap fell apart the 2nd time it was used (it's held together by 2x small philips head screws, and they sheared). I figure they are M1.6x2.5, I have some SS ones ordered.

That's not good. Kayfun deck screws are M1.6 and I have a ton of those. ;) Might need to shorten them a bit though.

I will need to get rid of that cheesy faux carbon fiber tube and install a nice brass one. Here in Canada that tube will probably cost me as much as the mod did. :)

It seems the black/SS are more solid than the ultem ones. Strange that.

Well, it's been a few days..

The SXK Basic has been riding the DS-style 1:1 and I have been really, really enjoying them. The Basic is just a touch restrictive and works out fine - flooding is just not happening. Building on it was a snap. The very short DT does allow it to juice your mouth, though. This only seems to kappen if I squonk and immediately fire a hit - Letting it sit for a few seconds before firing seems to solve most of that. Very light spitback as well, (I think it only lasted until the batteries got below 4.2v).

The DS-style just ran for two days on some VTC5a's and I just put them on the charger - just under 4 volt on one cell, just above 4 on the other. I call that a huge, huge win. I think I "Fixed" the bottle-system acceptably, as this latest 8ml ended up in the Basic, rather than all over inside the bottle-space. No hint of 'heat' on the button, but admittedly I am running around 0.29Ω.

The only negatives on this rig are minimal: 1) I am not a huge fan of the bottle/feed issue; 2) I love the dovetailed base, but having to unthread EVERYTHING there is a bit of a pain; 3) I am certain some will declare it 'too big' - it's not, but it is hefty.

I did take the DS-style top off the other day - tore it down to layers and had to wash everyone in dawn and then alcohol: I had juice throughout the plates and layers. This is what necessitated a "round two" of bottle-finagling. I ended up removing the press-on funnel-tip and reversing the original cap to expose the o-ring for the top connection. I think I will eventually need to use a tube-cutter to reduce the overall length of their fitting, and then add a length of fuel-line in there to reach the bottom, (I am not happy with that tube in the squeeze-area nor with that sharp-tip aiming at the bottom of the silicone bottle).

Overall, I have no more fears of the Gbox dying on me and being bereft of a functioning squonk. Good backup on the order of the Noisy Cricket. If I can fit this thing to use the std fuel-line-drop-into-bottle I'll be gold: I use a refill bottle thru the 510 anyway.

Mine is the black one ;) Given that I haven't heard of anybody else having the same problem, I put it down to just plain bad luck as I don't usually break things.

Here is an interesting toy coming up, kinda like a disposable squonk. The included rda might be a decent MTL one at that.

So,out of all the different squonk mods and attys I've tried over the years, this is my absolute favorite combo right now. Pico squeeze with a split clone rdta. I just prefer squonkable rdtas to rdas. I'm going to have to get more. So if anyone has any squonker rdtas laying around that they don't want, especially split rdtas, hit me up. Might end up getting the pico squeeze 2 also.

I've got a Nixon RDTA I'm not using. Great flavor, easy build. I was thinking about bundling it with my RSQ mod though. I'll drop you a line if I decide to sell it on its own.

Zion NP is spectacular, but personally, I would not go this time of the year; it's too damn crowded. Don't forget the east side of the park. Just to the east of the tunnel, there's a trail read that's give you an easy hike (not much altitude change) to an absolutely spectacular overlook. If you keep going east to Mt. Carmel Junction, and then head north, it's not too far to get to Bryce Canyon NP either. Lots of amazing stuff to see..,

I take three mods on trips. A backup for my backup. :)

Ah yes, of course. Actually my wife laughs and says, "not with those chicken legs you furry ape." She likes the colors of clan Keith's tartan. That was the closest clan I could find what tied into the Marshall's, grandmother Badgley had them in her line. Of course, my dad's side has given oh so much and such splendorous gifts in life.

Probably ought to accept being 100% Genuine Mutt with no farking clue to where from I hail.

I fear fused claptons. I have heard that fuses can detonate things.

Everybody needs a little wracking of the nerve. Seems to help in knowing you're still breathing.
Although, you're probably better off not chancing it. Wind up like me a cortisol pumping fool now a feared of the hot weather for risking stroke. Felt rough a few days ago in Wally World, not the usual anxiety.

Had to hold a stanchion post up. Wife walked us through that F.A.S.T routine, said she wanted me cooling down. Brought me home and cranked the AC and tossed me a cool damp washcloth. Probably no good to me to worry over the AC in her car being out and looking to run her around $1,600 to get fixed.

She met up with a couple fellas yesterday at the fireworks. They both agreed that sounded a bit too steep. She explained looking up material and labor costs, run her roughly $600. One of them said, it might be just a bit more but that sounded like a more reasonable figure. The other told her the 'shop' was using 2,000% markup, lets them allegedly buy 4 of the part.

These fellas told her not to put it in the Jeep shop, they'd sort her a good place to go. She works with their wives. About half thinking I'll need to go into a shop and apply to be a mechanic apprentice, work off some debt and get something of a skill set to earn my keep.

Reckon I could do worse, ... they say drug dealers and politicians make money too.

Firebird atomizer update:

I like the overall design of this one. What I don't like is having to choke to draw on it. Thought it was due to the crud but have found out different.

Anyone looking to swap, or just in need here's where you learn I'm putting one up into the PF/Trade bin. It was barely used, only enough to note that a single .50 ohm coil gets warm if you draw it into your throat. Have cleaned and boxed 'im up.

If you want it, shoot a pm with shipping info. I might consider a Fast Tech ChiNaRDA or a Wasp Nano as trade. I think both are priced within the range of what this atomizer ran on Fast Tech. Not looking to gyp anyone on trading and if you really have a need for it it's yours anyway. :) I'm not going to be using it, no point it sits collecting dust.

Just ordered two Samsung 40T 21700 batteries for the PS2. Gawd they are expensive! Will soon see if the hype is real. The three 18650s I have in rotation with that squonker are over a year old but don't last near as long in the PS2 as they do in the RSQ. Not even close....Have many others, even two more brand new VTC5As, but I want to check out the 21700s....

From IMR yesterday:

Your Order Contains:
  • 1 x Carrying Case for 4 18650 or 2 26650 Batteries - Clear
  • 1 x 18650 Battery Terminal Insulators - 20pcs - Matte Light Blue
  • 1 x 18650 PVC Heat Shrink Wraps - 10pcs - Translucent Green
  • 2 x Sony VT4 18650 2100mAh 22A Battery

Saw more of the Sony VT series, they ran about $8.00. A little pinched so got two $5 ones.

Okay - Sunday, July 1. Third month in a row, will attempt ZERO vape purchases, lol

Wait! There are going to be a buttload of sales this week for the holiday...

And! Still haven't checked out a Squeeze V2.0...
Lol! I keep trying.....I make it about a week, usually. The DIY recipe thread/daily mixing thread usually gets me......

I need some advice/suggestions...

looking for a small setup for out and about/stealth vaping...

Was looking at the Aspire Breeze 2, but non-placeable battery, only 1000 mAh, 2ml juice limitation, and constantly buying coils and lots of reports of issues have put me off...

I use the Billet Box mostly while at home, and occasionally am running either the Wasp Nano or the Nudge 22 on the Inbox v3 when I want to squonk...I dont want to take the Billet Box out and risk it getting abused.

Looking at the original Pico Squeeze (I do NOT care for the Pico Squeeze 2), and some of the Luxotic silicone bottles, from FT, as well as a new pair of Sony VTC5a's from Illumn, IMR or Lionwholesale....

Unless there is some killer reason to pay double for the Luxotic BF (mod only, dont want the Tobhino RDA).

But the question, and advice I'm seeking
is that I need a single-coil RSA, which has a reduced chamber like the Wasp Nano, but allows me to cut the airflow down even less than the Wasp Nano's tiniest option. I dont want a full MTL or ONLY MTL RSA, but something that maybe starts with it's own fully open AFC around what the Wasp offers when 2/3 closed and then goes tighter...

Clones are ok, and preferred right now for me to try it out before I spend for an authentic...

Looking for flavor, and doing a small chamber but not quite as small as the Demon Killer Tiny, nor the Origen Little, nor the Odis-16, pretty much want to stay at the 22mm size....

I am begging for the wisdom and experience of this group of Bonkers, so please advise what you like, why, and how is the airflow and flavor....

Thank you! :)

The Pico Squeeze and a Wasp is about as compact of a squonk as you are going to get.
Love mine and they are my out and about setups.
And another thing, they are cheap setups so if you lose or break one it is not a great big deal.

I also take an extra battery and filled bottle with a Kanger squok plug in it with me. Both fit in an 18650 dual battery case.
You do have to buy a Kanger sqounk replacement bottle to get the kanger squonk plug though.

I would stay away from the Luxotic. No real advantage over the Pico Squeeze, especially if you are vaping under 50W.

Other than my BB, I'm in love with my Pico Squeeze and Ulton KRMA clone. I use it wide open, it's more restricted lung hit.

Haven’t gotten a new Squonk mod in over a year....
That changed today - love this thing!!!
Now I just need a single coil atty that can fit a good parallel build.

Don't know how much air you like but aside from Nuppin, my favorites for the month:confused: are the Le Supersonic and Odis 16 . They are a restricted draw but fine for me, all are great flavor atties.
