@JuicyLucy
Thanks for the info/confirmation. I am more interested in it as a restricted DTL. SImilar to my older Kanger TopTank mini with the RBA head.

@BrewBear
Also, thank you for sharing your experience and info. It truly seems that I should aim for the v4 since I am more interested in a restricted DTL than tighter MTL.

I will likely try a clone of the v4 first before trying to find an authentic. Are there any well-known clones or ones preferred over others? FastTech preferred if possible.

:bunny:

The FT clone is supposed to be pretty good , but like I said, never have built the one I did get

Sheesh - we owned a pair of CJ7s for years - finally got too bumpy for my old ass though
Yep everyone should own one so they will not want another one.

I had one for a while.
Most uncomfortable vehicle I ever had.
Rough, noisy, cold, hot, etc.

Had to hang a blanket over the roll bar in winter to keep from freezing to death.
The wiring literally rotted out and had to rewire the entire vehicle.
Would drown out in a good sized mud hole.

So that Skyfall RSA by ESG that Todd mentioned in his video today...

Nice big Squonky hole...although the slightly raised positive part means its not truly flush to the deck, unless that is concave and my eyes are playing tricks on me? Thinking its raised due to the light refraction line?

BUT

this is what has my interest...

I know right? Another RSA with a ledge for the cap to sit on! OMG!!... JK ;) But I do prefer RSAs with that lip lol

Chalice III is one of the best (that I own) MTL rdas. It has a super tight -> tight-ish draw, not really a DL in any shape or form unless you drill it. They are rather expensive and not easy to find, Chalice II tighter draw still, harder to find.
@JuicyLucy can tell you about Chalice IV, is seemed looser draw so I skipped it.
I'll need to find my notebook again.I'm pretty certain I've tried the Chalice IV.

Man, I bought a 24mm nudge down in Texas on a whim and this has to be one of the most annoying rdas I’ve ever built.

Flavor is pretty good. It comes with a BF pin in no way is it actually good for squonking

I build .35 Aliens normally, which the pico consistently hits 3.75v+ fresh

Which I think comes out to about 40w

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's what I love about my pico, the performance. The other day before work I rewicked the krma, running 2x26/40 ni80, .34Ω Stuck a fresh 4.2v vtc5a in the pico and then checked voltage at the post... 3.8v.

That is extremely respectable for a mosfet. And the fact that it cost a mere $17 is like rubbing my face in it.
For those numbers, I can forgive the protruding battery cap.

Dropped my nic level to 6mg on Saturday. Mixed up 120ML on Saturday and I might have 20ML left.
Well, several reasons come to mind....
1. You really, really like the juice you mixed,
2. You really, really like the mod,
3. You really, really like the atty,
or 4. You probably need to up the nic level a little, say between the level you were at before the new juice and the 6 mg/ml you mixed at on Saturday. Speaking for myself, I drop nic levels by 1 mg/ml and even so I notice an increased consumption for a couple of weeks and then it tapers down.

  1. 70VG/30PG with a little menthol. Picked up some new nic on Friday that has no flavor or odor to it. Has a bit of mouth bite and throat hit, but different nic than what I am used to. The nic I used in the past had a bit of a peppery almost popcorn flavor to it. It's taken me 3 years to go through that 1L of 100mg nic.
  2. Pico Squeeze with a Hadaly. I hated the Hadaly when I first got it. Put away a few months ago and never looked at it again. Built it with regular 26 gauge SS316L and it's suddenly my favourite atty. Also have a Narda/Luxotic combo going which is fantastic. The Le Supersonic is sitting on my DNA75C squonker and is fantastic as well. So yes, I'm loving those three combo's right now.
  3. See #2.
  4. Ya I do this every couple months. Drop down from my usual 10-12mg and vape a ton of 6mg, then next batch say fuck it and go back to 12mg or so. Usually my hint to put the mod down is getting to the edge of nic sick. At 6mg there is no such thing and I just keep huffing away like a junky. Next batch going back to 12mg and I think I will take your advice and drop 1mg at a time. Rather vape a little more nic and less vg/pg for the time being.
Have I mentioned lately how awesome the Pico Squeeze is? FastTech has my all black Pico Squeeze and Le Concorde in packaging. :bliss:

Well, today was fun. Had a fellow come over and set me up with O2 fed through my CPAP. Apparently my saturation level drops bad when sleeping. Wife tried getting in touch with the neurologist's people to confirm the doc had ordered the O2, they could not return a call. She told the medical equipment co., to come on and set the O2 up in any case, better erring on caution.

So I then needed to celebrate. Took off the old coil on the Pico's Wasp and replaced it with a SS316 26 awg wrapped 6 times 'round a 3.5 mm, read out at .5 +/- ~0.02. Nothing fancy to the build just single strand, single coil and it is doing rather nicely. :)

I'm sure I had some more to say, so I thought, then thought about it a bit more and well, ... seems unwarranted and/or unmerited. Will say y'all run 'er slow, mind to loving one another, all else fails GFY. :)
      y'all know what to do with extras.

Why not try and mix a small batch of like 30ml of 9mg and see how that works for you?

I'm, currently trying to find my nic level with nic salts...

I just mixed the 4th batch of 30ml today, previous batches were 1.8mg, 2.2mg, 2.8mg and today was 3.2mg.

Normally I am vaping freebase nic at 1.5mg, and higher than about 2mg I get nic sick real fast, so I am hoping that I can find a level with the nic salts that gets me my fix, and thus I can consume less juice...

So far no nic sick with the salts and consumption is down a little, as 30ml of the nic salts will last me 2 days of chain vaping, whereas I was burning thru 20ml/day with the freebase nic.

Haven't dabled in nic salts yet, though I did buy a pod system that uses nic salts. 35mg of nic salts, but it's such a low power it doesn't feel like your getting 35mg.

Interesting that you get nic sick at 2mg. That's what I'm hoping will happen with the 6mg eventually.

I do have a source for nic salts, so that may be an option to try.

Where is the best place to get caps for psyclone rdas? I have a hadeon and a hadaly and would like to find a red translucent cap to match the squonker I have coming.

The ‘designer’ ones seem much nicer (Nick Ricotta Customs, NeverNormal.. and then especially Munoz Bros or Vikset or PLAY..) ..don’t know what those guys have in stock for a translucent red (definitely not Munn) .. but just had a quick looky and this might fit the bill.. at less than 10% the price of those mentioned .. worth a gamble mate

Fasttech FTW
;)

If it's for a clone, I may have you that will fit. I have an authentic and none of them will fit over the deck.

You dont have to use nic salts to change your nic level, you can use regular nicotine...

Mainly I was suggesting that you dont have to only flip betw 6mg and 12mg if you are mixing yourself, you could try something in betw...like 9mg or 10.2 or whatever...

Steam Engine has a calculator: http://www.steam-engine.org/juice.html

I got my nic salts and regular nic from Nicotine River. 3 orders in now with them, and no complains other than the 7-10 days shipping time from Cali to NJ, so it's good to plan accordingly.

A random thought. There ought to be a standard/universal 22 mm deck cap and also the same with varying sizes. Would hazard such is in hand of manufacturers who use it for prototyping I'm sure.

Somewhere on an RDA manufacturing line:

"Ah, this product it cap fit the other product we release yesterday," says the employee to the line supervisor.

"Shave off 2 thousands of a mm off, this will keep it from fitting proper and more sales for replacements," the supervisor asserts.

"Good idea boss," the employee replies with a grin.

You just know this kind of hi-jinx goes on, it has to lest the product market stop being saturated with "new" product. Not really a complaint as much as stating awareness from observing the market a few years now. Then again, same can said of vehicles, toilet paper, movies, and so on. Sorry, that's a bleak and bland view I've got. Yep, yep, yep I'll toddle on and do the sodding off bit. Excuse me.

@MyMagicMist

Well at least we had/have compatibility with the 510/ego threads across the board.

Back in the old days with ego-style batteries and small 1.5ml clearomizers with those silica wicks, all that stuff was interchangeable, and now with all the pod systems, every single item is proprietary, except for version updates that use the same coil heads, like the Eleaf iCare vs iCare2, or Aspire Breeze v1 vs Breeze v2.

We can also be thankful that 510 drip-tips are standard, as well as the Goon/Kennedy-style 810 drip-tips that rely upon o-rings in the top cap, and then the 'other' style of 810- drip-tip that has the o-rings on the drip-tip itself.

If I had a lathe and some other tools, I might have tried my hand at making some top-caps and 'inserts' or sleeves that would allow the caps to be somewhat universal.

I just tried the Druga 22, Velocity and Pulse 22 top caps on the Wasp Nano, and none of them fit, nor vice-versa.
