ETA: IT takes a full second to ramp up but the clouds/flavor are really nice. Not the best of either but a really nice combo of both.

Ok so I have a building question for you guys I'm trying to make SS claptons but all I have is 24,26 and 28 gauge so I was going to order a pound which they said comes out close to 12,500ft because that's the smallest amount I could find in either 34 or 37 gauge with that being said should I get it or not it's only 15$ but the shipping is pretty much the same amount but for 30$ I get over 12000 ft of wire that's not bad at all but I guess why I'm asking is someone told 28g would be fine to use to make claptons but I'm just not thinking so.

Definitely worth it. If I had to choose between the two, I'd get the 37 gauge. I just ordered another 1,000 feet of 38g N80. I have about 250 feet of 34g, and that is plenty. The resistance in SS is so low, that you're probably better off getting the 37g.

Yeah, but the flavor is pretty muted. Not sure if it's the STM or the coil. I've read that the staggered fused isn't much of a flavor build. I just wanted to be able to do it. I guess that's why I have 3 other RDTA tanks, too.You gave it some love'n and now it likes you again
I wanted to say, there are some great looking coils here. I have been building for a while and I am just now getting into claptons and wanted to share a few ive built.
Good stuff ohm! I was there just a short time ago... All it takes is a few hundred, or a thousand, feet of wire and you'll be making some nice looking claptons at least it took me that long. U might be far better than I! But I'm stuck -- I haven't moved onto aliens yet!

I'm literally beginning to LOATH ni200... Tried building this for a friend, was a bitch to get a dual coil out of nickel... flimsy and brittle as all hell, and a 4 wrap dual coil just says atomizer short on my snow wolf... ugh. Anyway, sorry I've been hella busy with work and the kids during the holidays so Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that. Hopefully I'll be able to be on here a little more after the new year

Im going to try some vertical builds for the Aromamizer...I keep getting dry hits while I leave the house with it and until I can get new screws Im retiring the Crius...Back to the TFV4 with TF-R2 RBA and some 28g/40g Fused Claptons...

I only use smaller guage as a core when working with RBA's/RTA's, I like 22g and 24g for RDA's
Havent tried 24 or 22 yet. I usually just do bare coils with those

I do 4-6 Wraps and they come in between .11-.25, I use Kanthal for Cores as I dont own any low gauge Ni80 yet..It shouldnt be too low but low enough to be good. I usually run dual for everything, I couldnt imagine a single coil satisfying me...22ga fusedi guess singles would be fine but I think duals would come in to low for me

I'm getting that double vision. I want to pick up one more to make the $15 free shipping. What should I get? I have a velocity mini, 13 heavens, and freak show. I was thinking to get another velocity mini, but wondering what others I could try. So many options to build on. Something that can fit fused Clapton's is what I'm looking for. Big on flavor but also looking for something I can build a smoke machine on if I want to. Mine is on a slow boat from China. I was thinking the same thing when it gets here. I like dual coil builds, so I was thinking maybe 2x28K/38N dual coil build. It should come in right at about 20 amps. 8.5 wraps on a 2.5mm post.
So after drilling out the juice holes to 3mm each where the wick supposed to go, building vertical 22g 6 wrap 3mm diameter coils and cutting 2 holes on the band for only 2 holes open the Aromamizer is a great tank and much more flavorful...No dry hits so far and Ive gotten up to 80w....
Ill post pics tomorrow after breaking it down and maybe try some vertical Claptons or FC's. I havent touched the Crius again yet and have used the TFV4 here and there. The TFV4 is still the most flavorful tank in my opinion with the TF-R2 RBA....
I await the Griffen RTA and the VCMT 25mm, should have them in the next couple weeks along with the new TF-R3 RBA for the TFV4.

Looks like you might have stretched your clapton a little too far. Try stretching it about half of what you think you need and use the initial wraps to guage how much more you need to stretch it. A little tension while you're feeding it will also help guide the wraps into placeWorking on alien wire. First attempt tonight

I like the basic 24 ga builds for cloud chasing as they heat up hot and fast. Once my mutation xl gets dry I'm gonna throw this alien in and try it
