Along my travels I stayed a couple nights in KC. Visited several BBQ spots. Arthur Bryant's was great.

And I built vaped a new atty today. Unity.
How do you like the unity?

Yesterday I brought two mods out of the not used section of my stuff. Recurve squonk and feedlink. Figure they'd be good tough work mods sin e it's getting warmer and my job entails more hardcore work during the summer

I like all BBQ but Bryant's sauce is a bit of an outlier in the KC style, a little heavy with the vinegar and cumin.

That may be. Like most they have more than 1 sauce. The family goes back to the beginnings of KC being known for BBQ.

I'm really liking it. Didn't think I would like it this much and thought I'd probably move it along, but now I'm thinking on keeping it.
I didn't use the .13 Nexmesh that was in the box that ppl say is better, used Wotofo's .18 since I didn't want to go that low atm. Both A1.
Think I'l look into SS and see what's out there.

Extra vinegar sounds like Lexington style BBQ. My wife worked at the top rated BBQ place in our county for 2 yrs. Glad my blood pressure was finally able to go back down. Lol

Apparently I've lived in the Raleigh area for too long. Hometown in the western part of the state is all about some Lexington-style, but I cannot go there any more. Like the Piedmont style so much better now.

Anybody familiar with Red Hot & Blue? If I remember right, their barbecue was supposed to be Memphis-style? Liked it pretty well, how similar is that to KC style?

I'm not much on Lexington style either honestly. But when tubs of Bbq are brought home who am I to snub my nose at free pork. Here's a pic of my favorite Bacon. Lol that's really his name

That is a great name for a dog! Bet he's a good buddy to have around.

We have an elderly beagle who just showed up in the yard one day and took a shine to my husband. Her name is "Girl." Imaginative, huh? lol That's my husband. He likes to keep things simple. She's his shadow, though. Cutest thing I've ever seen. Loves to ride in the golf cart with him. :)

Yes Bryant's and my preferred Gates are two mainstays. Hard to replicate meat from a smoker that has 40 plus years of seasoning. If you're ever back that way find a joint called LC's. BBQ heaven, the smoke just pours out of that place...

LOL! Kinda like our cat Tuxie... I mean, when a stray tuxedo cat shows up, what else are you gonna call it, but "Tux"? Then my husband determined she was female, so I'm like, "ok then, TUXIE!"

Then when we got the other one, the guys were like, no more "generic" names, so i started going down an alphabetical list of female names... the first one that everyone could agree on was "Annabel", so that's her name. But I still have to correct my husband when he spells it "Annabelle". :giggle: Hell, he wanted to name her "Spot"! She's a tabby who has as many spots as stripes, my son thinks she's at least partly "Mau" (egyptian cat), because of the spots and the dark stripe down her back, plus she's VERY vocal, sounds like a bird sometimes, and she's also VERY ornery; we have to take her to get her claws trimmed about once a month, because she'll reach out and draw blood if you just look at her sideways!

Had let a stripped down brass Goon soak in rubbing alcohol over night. Got up, wiped each piece off, dried it up. Swapped out the old parts I could swap out with fresh parts. Yesterday evening had replaced the squonky 510 pin in it with one shorter so as to avoid it hitting the post blocks & dead shorting. Give it a go with a nice Kanthal coil. It didn't go, I applied what I call Drummond logic, "fix it best you can, still don't work, say fuck it and move along". Found a Goon LP top cap which fits the Lost Art Goon deck, put it together & started tail piping. Vaped, vaped some more and so on. :) Not hitting it as much today. I'm waiting for all this damn "Tornastic" weather to break. Damn fucker weather people got to go getting all happy happy joy joy over tornadoes, :gaah::cuss2::cuss2:. Let one of them be a human barometer for just one day during such weather, see how they like it then. Ugh.

I filled my Desire Cut/Flave 24 Tank up with newly made Gooey CInnamon Roll DIY and vaped it while kickin' back on my comfy leather couch. It's 72F in the LR with no heat or cooling going on, finally.

Yay for springtime!! :)

Got the Basium 510 back apart, cleaned it all up, reassembled it and it read within .02 of the Yihi so I think it’s a win...going to squonk it for a week and then PIF it as long as it doesn’t F up. Adjusted the coils in the Vindicator clone and kicked the doors open to flavor country, Dinner Lady Lemon Tart is super buttery! Posted a few things for sale in the Trading Post.

Thanks @gsmit1 for the help with the Basium!

Started the day by buying a mod from a VU member. Sampled the Country Clouds clone that’s on day 4 and it’s really tasty, still not there but getting closer with each day. Squonked 8ml on the Basium without any malfunctions, fingers crossed tomorrow is the same. And slapped a Country Clouds label on my kydex press...maybe it’ll hold that split lol!

Man I'm on my last tank of cornbread pudding. I'm scared to try the clone too early and be disappointed lol.

At 4 days it’s pretty darn good but still maple heavy, not like sipping syrup but it takes a sec for the flavors to come through.

I don’t think so. I just compared the clone and the real stuff and the real CC tastes a little creamier to me.

Creams normally need a steep to come out. I'll probably take the clone to work with me tomorrow.

I've only ever had Vaperoxx's . Guess I'll have to spring for the other.

I ordered 8 batteries for my mods, since Amazon pulled them from their site. Since I ordered them through a trusted 3rd party, my order was shipped right away instead of being cancelled. Jesus knows I don't want to buy el cheapo batteries at a B&M! I like the Samsung 30Q, and don't know when I'll see any again.

Put a freshly cleaned and wicked Pulse v2 on the DS, put another 8ml through the original Basium with no issues, checked the tracking on an awesome vape package arriving tomorrow from the Trading Post, and squonked while I watched National Treasure 2.

Received four RDAs from FT, all clones, all single-coil (or will be used as single-coil): a Squi, Comet, Radius, and Reload S. Opened them up and looked, but didn't build any of them. The Reload S (ultem cap) is gorgeous. The Radius is cute as a bug, my second one of these, but this one's black and the first was SS. Wish FT had the Comet in black. Squi is weird.

Hubbs just had knee replacement surgery on Wednesday. He came home today. We were busy with other things.
