For the price point ($15-20 on avg sale and they are almost ALWAYS on sale) it is the best mod kit on the market imo. I got a black one a few months ago and wrote up a quick little review
HERE . It's still one of my daily drivers.
And to try and stay on topic -
I think this past year has been good for the expansion of colors/styles in the mod industry. Lots of 'pretty' colors. Less, what I like to call, space-ship styles. More gender-neutral designs. It is still pretty lop-sided towards masculine ... but it seems to be getting better. I would be interested to see the numbers on male vapers vs. female vapers who use full fledged mods. Pods/Pens/AiO/ect ... have a lot to choose from on the 'not-so-masculine' front.
My thoughts on the issue
I think the problem arises from the fact that it takes a lot more investment to take a box and make it 'pretty' beyond colors. The more you add to it it the bigger it gets and the less feminine, and practical, it becomes. From a males perspective, I find it difficult to come up with ways to make a truly feminine box mod without just making it pink or purple ect ... I would be curious as to how feminine women would design their own mods given the opportunity.
Problem #2 - the majority of the hardware comes from the east ... which is still more of a 'man's world' then the west.
Problem #3 - Manufacturers are greedy SOBs. This goes back to the extra investment of trying to take a box and turn into not-a-box. And, purely speculation here, I would think that your avg western man is willing to spend more money on their vape hobby than your avg woman. Yes I know plenty of women who spend WAY to much on vape gear. But I know more men on that front.
When it comes down to it ... "Follow the money" is the bottom line for this whole discussion.
