I didn't know about them until the January of 2018. Yes they are awesome! I've entered a lot of them and have won a ton of stuff. Tanks, kits, & mods galore. I've won over 20 seperate items this year that I would've never bought. I doubt this year I top that. I feel extremely lucky and blessed.
I agree with you there- I have been very lucky to win some great tanks, mods, pod mods, juice , battery chargers and store credits. Some of which I would have never bought, but love it when I tried it! Some contests I really wanted to win, but unfortunately didn't but purchased it on my own- the Vsticking is an example- love that mod!
I have PIF some winnings that weren't a right fit for me or totally in love with.

@Puneet Sharma , I live near Adelaide. I am happy to post him some juice. I make my own juice, so I don't know if anyone will like it lol. Minimal cost, I have never sold it before. You can message me if I can help you out.

You are awesome. I will let him use those pods and wait for his taste to develop. He’s also in Adelaide,SA. I’ll definitely get in touch with you soon. Thank you

Sorry that all happened to you. Just plain sux! This is the 1st time in 20 years of having a CC this has ever happened to me.
I think I will try to only purchase from sellers using PayPal from now on, which will mean a long wait from China as no US vendor can take Paypal payment.
Log in to your PayPal account and apply for a PayPal debit card. It's a MasterCard and works anywhere that accepts MasterCard.
I've been using it for years and as said by others, they don't take fraud lightly.

Sounds like a good idea-
My CC saw this was weird and declined the purchase, I carry a very low credit on that and alerted me immediately, cancelled my card and Fed Exed my new one , since so close to Christmas.
My hubby was thinking about a pre paid card for my on line shopping- but I like the Pay Pal card idea better. They are always sending me offers.
I will look into it. Thanks!

I didn't know they offered a debit card; all I ever see are these "apply now for your PayPal VISA card!" and since we already have 2 VISA CCs, a rooms to go card and a kohls card, I'm like, yeah, NOOOOO. Got enough expensive money already! But having a PP debit card sounds like an amazing idea -- if you can use it to buy vape stuff?

That is the question - but it does sound like a good idea and I too never wanted to apply for their aggressively marketed Visa card

I'm wondering if this debit card might be their way of continuing to get a slice of the *American* vape market, without appearing to do so, to the gov't? How about it, Gadget? Have you used it to buy vape stuff from American vendors?

I use mine all the time if a site doesn't have PayPal as an option I just use my PayPal Mastercard.
A little over a year ago someone stole the number on the card and spent about 400.00 in several different purchases at Walmart of all places, then they tried to make a purchase of 2400.00 at a Bed and Breakfast somewhere on the east coast which was declined.
PayPal alerted me via text message and email. I called and they reversed all of the charges (the 400.00) and issued me a new card.

From what I have been told, one of the ways your CC number is stolen is that these hackers have a program that generates thousands of credit card numbers and tries different pin numbers until one is accepted then they start making purchases.

Well, cool about the debit card. Does it just tie in to your PP acct, to whatever card or account is set as the default pmt method? Or do you actually have to have $$$ in your PP acct, to use it?

The Business debit card works just like PayPal, you set up a default funds source.
You don't login to PayPal or anything different than just using a Credit Card.

I have a Paypal debit card for a personal account. It's linked to my Paypal balance. Got it in case I need to take cash out when I have a balance there.

I think you have to have received $500 in the last six months (payments that other people have sent you) in order to be able to get one. If you've done that, as far as I know it's just a matter of asking for the debit card.

I'm not sure I even know what the PIN is on that card. Dang. More stuff to remember.

ETA: Paypal calls this the "Paypal Cash Card." It has a Mastercard logo. Within the configuration of this card there is a function called "Automatic Top Up." If that is turned on, you select a bank account or debit card from which Paypal pulls funds in increments of $10 to cover purchases made with the Cash Card for which there aren't enough funds in your Paypal balance. If it's turned off and balance has insufficient funds, the purchase will be declined.

I have used Discover Card for over 15 years- glad that they caught the fraudulent charge, declined that purchase and cancelled and over nighted a new card. I keep a low limit on that card.
Glad I wasn't using a debit card linked to my savings account- probably would have been wiped out, until it got sorted out.
I am not responsible for any charge I didn't make thru Discover and they were very kind and responsive in their help with this matter.
I see Asmodus has a pay by check or money order option now ,so another a good way not to use my card.It would just take longer for the transaction- one of my favorite vendors.
Still will try to use mainly PayPal for most of my purchases going forward-

The white one reminds me of the Mini Book.

I PIF my lightly used white minibook to a friend here and sold the others that were BNIB, another White Kit and a Silver Kit.
The Asmodus Minikin V2 is very small for a dual battery mod, love my 3 - 2 prism(rainbow) and 1 white.
When I started purchasing my many mods- I stuck with white so the hubby didn't notice new ones- LOL!
Now I don't care- LOL! Loving the colorful mods and tanks I have.

Hey how many mods and tanks does one person need? Question of the century at my house in the beginning!
He knows must have been a great deal- I am a bargain hunter.
Plus I have been lucky, won many contests of great mod kits , tanks and pods -so there's that!

Yes that would be an advantage- LOL!
We just got a new mailman and now he brings the mail before 2 pm- my old mailman was here between 4-5pm just in time to hand the vape mail to my hubby, who was just getting home from work- glad that mailman is gone!

My husband is just so damn delighted I'm no longer turning dollars into ashes, he told me long ago to buy whatever I needed -- I'm also a bargain hunter, yeah that's a good word for how big a tightwad I am. :D So he knew he was safe to tell me that. :D

The only thing he EVER said about my vaping was right when I first started -- "You seem to do that CONSTANTLY." I screamed "WOULD YOU RATHER I WENT BACK TO SMOKING???????" Damn, I've NEVER seen him back up so fast!!!!!! :giggle:

@SnapDragon NY I like your collection of white mods! Very clever, buying everything the same color. Wouldn't work on my hubbs though; he doesn't pay any attention to what my mods look like, but he does get the mail. These days he'll say "What'd you get?" but that's about it.

I'm finding myself not much interested in finding more bargains now. I have enough mods and tanks to last the rest of my life, if "need" is all I'm concerned with. Am very nearly ready now to start packing up the mods and tanks that I'm not really totally in love with, as backups for some potential time when gear might be hard to get or hard to afford. I think I am going to try to pare down the mods I have in active rotation to about eight. That's one for my office, one for my purse, two for my bedside table, and four out in the main house.

One good thing I have accomplished is that every atomizer currently in rotation is rebuildable except one. When the Smok Spirals Plus I've ordered gets here, they will all be rebuildable.

Sounds great- whenever I get a new mod or tank- an older one gets cleaned and put away in its box- I keep 8 mods and tanks on the counter along with 2 travel mods( Nebox and Orion) the rest are in my cabinet. I do use mainly rebuildables, but still like some drop in coil tanks that I have.
That is when I decide, do I keep or sell. I have been selling some lightly used mods and tanks that haven't been right for me or I know won't get used much.
I just bought a couple of covers and a wrap to spruce up some of my older faves and pretty happy with the gear I own now.
My hubby is thrilled that I don't smoke- couldn't believe it has been 4 years already. He is still a dual user.

I've been in that situation, not really "needing* anything, hardware-wise, for a couple years now -- although if anyone started making Achilles clones again, I'd probably buy about 10 of 'em. :giggle: I do buy an atomizer now and then, if I see one that seems to suit my very peculiar style of vaping... and I buy a new mod, or maybe 2, about yearly... just because of the horrible "shit happens" problem with vape gear -- and that's really the only reason I have about 20 of 'em, or more, hell I don't even know anymore.

A great many of mine don't even leave the drawer anymore; the ones I use regularly, rotating them around, are all my Minibooks (red, black, and 2 white), and my 2 Aegis mods. The minibooks are BY FAR my favorite mods of any I've ever bought... and I really like both the hand-feel, and the sturdiness (shock-proof is a great thing for a terrible klutz who drops things CONSTANTLY) of the Aegis mods; the 26650 batteries are also very good, though I don't think I get QUITE the battery-life from those, in my Aegis's, as I do from my 30Q's in my Minibooks -- I think the Minibooks must just be INCREDIBLY efficient in energy use.

So other than those increasingly-rare hardware purchases, the only vapey stuff I buy anymore is DIY related: staying topped-up on PG/VG, making sure I keep at least 3 liters of nicotine in the freezer, keeping my regular flavors topped up.... and now and then buying a few new flavors for some new recipe I want to try.

For a tightwad like me, vaping is AWESOME. :D

Agreed, completely. If I could stop myself from doing all this shopping, I'd hardly have to spend anything at all on vaping.

Another good thing about low-wattage vaping - you don't go through juice and coils like a house on fire. Even at 25-30W with some of the rebuildables I'm using now, my juice consumption is probably 20% or less than my son's.

You're right about that, and even small changes can have a big impact -- for a long time, my preferred wattage with my Achilles, was 9.6w. But over the last several months, I've gone back to what used to be my norm with Kayfuns, 10w... and it means I have to refill my Achilles more often, and I do get *slightly* less battery life, though that small a change in wattage doesn't seem to have a huge impact on the battery, but it definitely does on juice consumption. Now, instead of 5ml or less per day, it's 6ml or a bit more per day. I'm hoping that my breathing stays good, at least until "green snow" season in March/April -- I might need to back off a bit on vaping when all that pollen is everywhere.

I think us wise women need to help the hapless dudes in this thread: Help picking out a mod for a friend

LOL- I already gave my 2 cents this morning!
I would never want anyone to pick out my gear- let alone try to get me to vape his way when I 1st started vaping.
I told him take her to a vape shop and let her pick out her own or at least look over what she may like. Stick with simple at 1st like a Juul or Pod.
She doesn't want to pay for factory coils- but in the beginning I think simple is better.
He is going to build her RTA, but what if something happens and he's not around- back to cigarettes?

I'm just trying to figure out what a dual-battery pen that you could carry in a purse would look like. I'm totally confused.

Do sorta like the suggestion of the Berserker RTA, but then @AndriaD said that hers leaked all over the place. Mine doesn't leak at all, but the fact that one does and one doesn't tells me that either the devices aren't consistent, or they are particularly finicky about wicking. If that's the case, then I just had beginner's luck when I wicked mine.

Is there a Berserker pen?

ETA: There is, but it uses pre-made coils! Huh?

ETA2: Don't y'all love what Lucy said about us? Called us "highly experienced!" Hmm. I feel important now. Just stand back y'all. :p

Bingo bingo bingo

Plus, he doesn't have experience with RTAs to begin with, so it's not a good outlook

Plus, any pod or tank system will be cheaper than smoking, even the Juul, which is not cheap

Yes- he wants her to vape instead of smoke 2 packs a day- 1st mistake, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.
There is no magic wand- you have to want to quit smoking and I was adult enough to walk in and buy my own vape gear. Sure wasn't a dual battery mod with an RTA and I still managed to quit my 30+ year cigarette love affair! A cig-a-like and 24 mgs nic juice , 18 mgs carts and will power.
I have tried everything to get my hubby to quit cigarettes in the 4 years I've quit. He vapes at work and smokes in his garage all night- ugh!
He never wanted to quit, but I did and vaping worked for me. My hubby would never ever build an RTA- he wants simple and likes his Penguin, but not enough to quit smoking cigarettes!

I wish my husband would quit, too. The only time he's been willing to vape was when we were on vacation and driving a rental car for a week.

I did manage to actually force someone into vaping once, but I'm not proud of it. I feel great that she doesn't smoke any more, but I hate how it came about. My half sister is 8 years younger than me (she's almost 56) and has had COPD since her mid-40s. Her dad died of emphysema at 59. She was living with us and dependent on me and I just absolutely refused to buy cigarettes for her after about six months talking to her about it.

She also wouldn't drink anything but Pepsi and coffee loaded up with cream and sugar. Stayed dehydrated all the time. We fussed about that, too, and she didn't listen until she had a heart attack caused by low blood volume. After that happened she started drinking some water.

I don't take great care of myself, but dang, some things you just have to do. You should drink water, and you shouldn't smoke cigs when you already have COPD.
