OMG! You should've seen the people's reaction yesterday, we had a couple of thunderstorms. Some were about to build an ark!
It was bad in the burn areas tho, especially the Ventura area. I put sandbags around and made sure the mud will slide by if it came down that far. We were fine but a couple of blocks from my house it got ugly!

that is about the upper safe temp for Li batteries.

Curious if anyone ever changed the mosfet in a pico to one that isn't limited to 50w ;)

It looks to be a standard center button mosfet in 16x16

Similar to the Bomber Pro ;)

The Chip for the Pico sits between the battery tube and bottle feed area on a perch and the button like so...

Thought about!

Espeically after I had one fail when on the road last month - but made the agonizing decision to toss it instead of lugging it through several more airports through TSA BS

Got bored and made a 3x28x36 4/5 wrap 3mm N80 Alien for the Phenom... Sometimes its just like trading 2 Dollars for 8 quarters lol

The Lunas have been shipped! Vaping Gods willing, I should have them by Monday evening.
@So619Cal how comes you didn't order a Luna? It is a MOSFET, as I understand it, and waaay less than the Ra.

But yes where I am as well. I will never compete for the opportunity to buy something unless it is needed lifesaving drugs or food for my starving wife unit, etc...

Way less than the $262 I'll end up spending on the NeoFet also ;)

But I don't fancy the way they look.

I thought the Luna was a full chip with blinking lights etc as oppose to a simple MOSFET?

More like a Pico Squeeze etc so if a bit of juice gets in the board it's possible for it to malfunction that's what put me off.

The vape you get will very similar to any other metal ( outside of Kanthal - Yuck )

Fused is a fused, Alien an Alien... on a regulated I doubt you will noticed any real difference. Mech... different story with same gauge wire used.

I like SS in a mech.
Fast ramp up and then as the coil heats and the resistance rises it backs off just a bit.

I feel that way when it's between fast tech or ebay, paying most times twice as much just for it to ship from the USA.

I thought it was odd having a day off today, then I get the other-shoe email that we are starting a massive project on Monday for a launch in France end of May while I'm over there.
Exciting but oof.
So I'm streamlining myself again and as a result I'm gonna say goodbye to y'all. Love VU but it's too fun & distracting for me."I'll just check the forum real quick" ends up "where the fcuk did those 3 hours go"
