Curious about that sig213bf...
I see that it's 150w mod with a single 20700...
Any idea what sort of batt life one can expect from these little miracle cells?

Depends... according to Mooch Ijoy is now wrapping 15 amp cells....
Instead of the ones they originally wrapped Which were 20 or better as I recall?
Made a post in the battery forum on it.

I think I'll wait a while before considering the Sig BF. It has an "innovative" bottle that at first look (to me) it screams leak city!

Not for the faint at heart...
When it comes to cutting on a $150. mod most people will pass.
Myself, I want to be able to swap batteries without worrying about destroying the wrap.

I made the mod but not with a Dremel tool, the plastic is soft enough that I was able to do it with an exacto knife.
What a difference! The battery is very easy to get in and out now.

From looking at the battery, it looks like the damage was more than likely done inserting the battery not taking it out.

This might not apply, but when I first got my first Minibook, I was incapable of inserting a battery without nicking the wrap -- someone suggested loosening the atty, or inserting the battery before the atty is on the mod -- and that was BRILLIANT! It's MUCH easier to insert the batteries that way, and since re-wrapping those nicked batteries, they've stayed in perfect condition, thx to that one simple alteration.

Might be that a perfume taste is actually how the RDAs enhance or deliver more or more potent flavor to a person. I despite lacking all but a base sense of taste did notice a heck of a big difference coming from tanks to rdas, I like the more flavorful vapor from rdas. :)

I've used the Magmas a good bit -- they DON'T make the vape taste like perfume, trust me. Which would have nothing at all to do with why I tasted that perfume after I tried that juice that was in the squonk bottle, in my Achilles, and immediately tasted perfume -- there was a trace of SOMETHING in the DB 160 bottle that I identified as perfume -- whether it was some ejuice, or some cleaning product, I dunno, but I tasted it, it had nothing whatever to do with the Magma, which I've used a good bit, and it was horrible.

And yes, vinegar is a very foul and penetrating odor, which is easily absorbed by plastics, and can't then be gotten rid of, by ANY means. I've tried. It's not possible. I use vinegar for cleaning the rainbowed film and hard water deposits from stainless steel, because it's the only thing that really works -- but like other cleaning products, it's not really pleasant to smell, and lovely when you're done with it and can rinse it down the drain -- plastic hangs on to it.

Fermented things taste too strong to suit me.

I loved beer and wine... a little too well. :D I learned a while back that "black tea" differs from "green tea" in that the black tea leaves are actually *fermented*, which is why they're black. I dunno, but I damn sure like black tea a LOT better than green tea!!!

Alright I think I’m finally gonna take the plunge into DIY juice, have like $130 worth of flavorings, pg/vg and nic in my cart at nicotine river. Tired of having to always order and wait

It’s a great move to get into diy. It’s high startup cost and there is a ton of trial & error but it’s a vastly cheaper route to go. Just make sure you have recipes that you can stagger (a couple s&n with a couple that need a week+ steeping).

Honestly it wasn’t the cost of premade just that is making me want to, it’s more I’m tired of getting one and hating it. I figure now I can make 10ml of something and if I don’t like it toss it. I literally have a box full of bottles of juice I didn’t like, normally I give it to a buddy who isn’t as financially sound as me so he can’t try random juices like I do.

On average I spend $100+ a month between my adv juice and other random bottles to try so the start up isn’t that bad for me.

Then yeah, you’ll love it then. And you can hook that friend up with some killer juice on the cheap.

Also, mix by weight. It’s so much easier/faster and the results are easier to replicate. And buy some good brown glass Boston rounds with a dropper.

Edit: other than them sleeving the contact, I still have zero clue on the difference between Armageddon’s V1 & V2 squonker

Take good notes as you mix especially if you deviate from the recipe.
Most recipes are too high in flavoring for me and I use 1/2 or less of the flavoring as the recipe specifies.

Whatever works for you just be sure and keep notes so you can do it again if you like it.
And you will have failures.
But hang in there.

Good move!
Tip - if you DO want to cut down that upfront money...

I'd suggest picking a couple recipes you think you'll like - and get JUST the flavors you need to make those!
You can expand afterwards - but people starting sometimes feel they need a whole pantry of flavors to mix from - but then many of those flavors sit.

I actually vape nearly 100% the same flavor all day every day - didn't know I'd want to do that when I started mixing, it just turned out that way. But it means I buy like 6 ingredients in bulk, and have a little collection of flavors i never used, still there from when I started a couple years ago!

Yeah it's definitely an acquired taste, just as smoking was -- and can be UNacquired, just as smoking has been -- which is why, after asthma inhalers went to the no-CFC "HFA" type, I had to go from generic inhalers, to name-brand Ventolin -- it's the only one that doesn't taste like I'm huffing Golden Grain/Everclear.

Hahaha I already did that, had like $250 worth of stuff in my cart and realized I didn’t need that much of it for a first timer. So managed to get it down to $130 and figure it’ll be a good start, I’m also a VERY simple flavor guy, single fruits, some fruits mixed together but nothing to complex.

This exactly -- I always buy 4oz bottles of Shisha Strawberry, DX Bavarian, Vanilla Swirl, and CAP's Sweet Cream, and if I get down to just one bottle of shisha strawberry, I know it's time to order another -- yet I've got probably 50 little 10 ml bottles of this that and the other thing. Sometimes i take a wild hair and mix something different, yeah, like 10 ml of it... then just go back to vaping my strawberry & cream. It's the best ejuice I've ever tasted; why should I vape anything different? :D

First 10 minutes with the Strike 14 mm.....2.0 mm ID 316L SS 5 wraps on the Pico squeeze. Set on the smallest opening it doesn't feel quite as tight as it should (1.0 mm opening) No time tonight but I'll try different coil position and tighter DT.

I keep a spiral bound DIY log with full notes on all my mixes.

Heck I may want to try one again sometime with a different brand of flavoring or something.

Yup after finding some good recipes online of cloned juices I liked it was all large amounts of the flavoring I use the most...every few months it's basically the same Order at nicotine river for me being they are in Cali ...minus the nicotine...Carolina Xtracts for me.

An addendum to the Strike post. The coil I had was at 0.34 ohms and on the Pico, it was a bit too hot. Changed it with a 28g SS 2.0 mm I'D (the largest diameter coil that would fit) 5/6 wraps at about 0.46 ohms. Much better.

Wish I could make up my mind if I want any of these never normal Entheon caps. The colors I really would want I have no mods that would go with them (purple & neon green) and the ones that could go with what I have (clear & ultra) are eh

I was on the fence too, but I jumped down. They'd be so much better in my opinion if they were like the Bells or the Viksets and didn't have the drip tip all molded in. Dillon's caps are great but I really dig switching up my tips.

Good call methinks, those caps will be around mate, he does batches all the time.
The BellCaps and the Viksets are 'buy now or wait a lifetime' though!

That thing is a giant piece of fail. It's like $160, it's huge, has a pump that will ultimately fail, and only holds 6ml.

Totally agree. They lost me at 'pump' ..Not my speed at all but just sharing some news while I'm on here for a minute..
