Me too, but still mixed feelings.
-Reverse-threaded 510 adjustment is nice
-Shorter profile is nice for taller bottles or more feed tube
-they are shiny which is always nice
Leaking will be my only real worry, all those parts and there's only one o-ring that doesn't strike me as capable of stopping seepage at the very minimum, but I also can't say without running one for awhile.
Aside from that I'm not wild about having to add the "tab" onto the 510 at the connection point, but it's logical and I can deal with it. There's some serious contact area there if nothing else.
I'd say I have a solid 2-3 weeks of abusing it before I need to decide if they are go / no-go.
Science is fun though!

The tab setup is much better in this connector than, say, the varitube's messy threaded center pin because the manual adjustment doesn't interfere with the nut holding the tab down at all.
It at least makes me feel better about the tab setup knowing there's no risk of it getting out of whack by adjusting the 510 pin.

Gotta tell you all I'm in love with my Gorge. If you like Air. Doesn't get hot. Doesn't leak out AFC unless you over squonked the hell out of it. And it looks awesome on my drone. Just thought it ain't got much love. Hardly any reveiws on it.

Think I somewhat got it with my last build. Build before it was sputtering out juice all over from the afc slots. Guess this Goon needs an engineering degree, or a two counting coolie what has gone around the bend a few times.

Not like there are any rules cast in stone on how anyone needs to enjoy their vaping. Besides that Max is an authentic Goon. I was kind of hoping for 'seeing' better quality from authentic. Yes, then again too I also claim ignorance on building for it. I'm doing a standard dual coil Clapton w/ 3mm ID so as to get around 0.5 (R) oHm net. May be I need to do only single coil or some such. * wanders on to tempt fates regarding the Max * Kind of glad i have a day off today from the Honey Do's. Been mowing since Sunday, spend an hour or two each day at it w/ motor scythe. the boss lady decided laundry this week "could wait til whenever it got there." Yay!
10:42 EDT -- All the difference in the world. Single coil 3mm ID Clapton hitting in at 2.6 (R) oHm. Makes the Max about half bearable to vape. Think I'm onto the basics of the HowTo of building this monster.

I've taken a liking to the Gorge as well. Enough so that I have 4 more coming on the slow boat from China for the FDA stash. I'm running 316L SS 26/38 7 wrap 3mm ID fused Claptons in the two I have now @ 0.3 ohms. It's a good RDA for a reasonable price that comes made for squonking.
Just sharing my latest fasttech acquisitions all RDA's have been converted to Bottom Fed. and have only been tested with Single coils so far. The 2 that stood out from the pack were the Goon Max (Surprised with how smooth and flavorful it was. And the other was the Mad dog first time I ever had to trim down the thread portion of a 510 so that it would sit flush on most of my mods. Threw me for a loop. The rest vary from very good to ok but have not tried other builds in them yet.

They are, just smaller. The smaller chamber does result in much denser flavor though.
Can't comment on cloned 22mms, never had one
Some of the cloned 24mms vaped the same as authentic IME, some not
I just have a couple of 22 mm goon clones. Not bad attys.

Almost none of the vape stuff is though.
