Now you have me pondering, prolly do the same....hell, even at 120 bucks....screw it...!$120 at VNW... patience be damned, I'll probably pull the trigger in the next few hours.
eta: damn... got Ninja'd.
Do it,do it now...sorry old Navy boot camp slang! But yes, do it now!!!$120 at VNW... patience be damned, I'll probably pull the trigger in the next few hours.

If you guys order now, you'll be vaping on it by end of week! They ship crazy fast...well I'm in Cali. But crazy fast to me from Washington.I'm wondering if Hcigar will even have another batch available before the nanny state crackdown.
I still have two in the box I haven't opened yet....I'm on a stockpiling tizzy, mission from god so to speak....If you guys order now, you'll be vaping on it by end of week! They ship crazy fast...well I'm in Cali. But crazy fast to me from Washington.

Oh my...well you can definitely stand to wait and see...no harm done. If I did not have one at all...I would be all over it at $120I still have two in the box I haven't opened yet....I'm on a stockpiling tizzy, mission from god so to speak....
Which makes me wonder if they will have another batch. You would certainly think so...especially the way just about every damn mod is sold out of every store in the country....

I think I'll wait a few days, see if anyone hears whether they plan on making anymore.I had a bite to eat... that's why I made it 57 minutes.
Order placed.
Was hoping for the various colors again. Perhaps I'll shoot Hcigar an email tomorrow. I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask.

I can say that my plastidip job is holding quite well. But yes, as you said...peel it when worn ... paint again. I do know that there is a red and gray readily available at most hardware stores.Yeah, that platidip is a great idea, even it it doesn't hold up well, peel it like a banana and use a different color, kinda like changing sock colors....
Thanks for the perspective. I have and love both the Triade and 133, seems like I just need the DUO. Will need for prices to come down a bit on that one tho. Would buy it today at $120-130.I have a duo like it. Love my 133. Triad on my list next.

Oh so those are really stickers??? Yeah the price needs to come down then for me. Thanks for the info!!!It is boxyer but nice build except stickers but I'm going to diy those soon.

Great assessment.I always liked the look of the Duo. The only 2 things that stopped me from ordering it were:
1. I wish the different finishes were separate panels held on my magnets and not something held on by adhesive. Seems to me in order to change the look you would be likely to ruin the one you were trying to remove.
2. The price was a little high compared to deals I found on my other DNA200 mods.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi Bill,I was just doing my daily check for the availability of covers and it appears every color is gone except the silver and black ones. Even Fasttech lists the rubberized covers as now discontinued. The only place that still has the blue and orange is Aspen Valley Vapes.
As far as the 2 year thing goes. That's what everyone is saying but I don't know if that is true. There is so much misinformation floating around out there I have no idea what to believe.Hi Bill,
I'm starting to wonder if Hcigar is discontinuing the VT133? With how hard the covers are to find, the mod itself being scarce, combined with other companies discontinuing seemingly popular products, it's making me wonder.
I also wonder how much the deeming regs have to do with what seems like bizarre business decisions. It almost seems like companies are trying to sell out stock. It seems strange because my understanding is as long as it's on the market prior to 8-8-16 they still have 2 years to sell it.
Not trying to start unsubstantiated rumors. I'm just thinking out loud. The weird thing is, I bet a few months ago, these mods/covers were easy to find. Ecig.com put them on sale and we started talking about how great it is and bam, everything is suddenly hard to find.
Cheers,
Steve
Don't forget about the lack of daughter board, Steve. Or at least my assumption that I still have on that.I always liked the look of the Duo. The only 2 things that stopped me from ordering it were:

Good call on that. It definitely is a negative, not everyone understands the ramifications of inserting batteries incorrectly on a DNA200 without a daughter board. Plus even if you know there still are accidents that happen. This is all assuming it doesn't actually have one, which I believe it doesn't.Don't forget about the lack of daughter board, Steve. Or at least my assumption that I still have on that.

It seems like some companies are definitely doing that, P4Y and Sig come to mind. Others like Hcigar don't seem to be doing that though. Seems like some are just liquidating inventory. Again I'm just thinking out loud here trying to figure out what is happening.I think they are just trying to push any new stuff out fast as possible.

Same here. After I got my replacement Duo I put the lipo in and use it as backup. Still no idea what happened since when mine died the batteries were in it already functioning for most of the day. But why take a chance. That's why I put lipo in its my backup anyways but would hate to blow fuse

don't know how these people responsible for this can live with themselves.
I actually don't think it has Anything to do with saving people...in fact BC of the ties (Red cross, American Heart Association and her in Cali... California Public Health)...these organizations/gov all have one major thing in common- they rely either on the tax from cig sales or rely on those ailed with illness caused by cigs. This is not about "losing our freedom"...follow the money. It's their smug 'Glad we saved them from themselves, now they can go to the farmers market and get some kale in our approved reusable hemp bag' mindset.
They are right, always right. Dissent isn't possible, why would we listen to anything on a subject that 'is settled'?
I'm kinda old. I remember when you could pretty much do as you pleased. Then came 'No smoking on flights of 2 hours or less.' It was off to the races.
Think of what all you can't do, or what the kindly government dictates.
Truth of the matter is it really doesn't cross those lines. The Democrats are not friends to the vaping world. They are the ones that want a Nanny State. Republicans in general are for less government. Follow the money and you'll see all these anti vaping politicians are bought and paid for by BT and BP and a overwhelming amount of them are Democrats. Since the Muslim has been in the WH he has put over 21,000 new rules and regulations into effect. He has killed this economy and has choked out small businesses. There's only one candidate that has said he will reign in the FDA, IRS, and EPA to name a few. Vapers are to busy feeling the Bern to want to listen. Their broken political beliefs are so deeply ingrained that they are willing to give up their freedom for it. This is not the America I grew up in. Sad, very sad.I actually don't think it has Anything to do with saving people...in fact BC of the ties (Red cross, American Heart Association and her in Cali... It's easy to make this a Republican/Democratic debate. Truth of the matter it way crosses those basic "false" lines. Follow the money...always follow the money
As a side note...not being able to smoke on planes, trains and the like is a really good thing.
I member being trapped in a uncles car or something like that as a kid...that's just wrong. Kill yourself..not others and children. These laws however are sooo not about that basic "good sense" principle unfortunately.

I wish that were true bro but its a cop out. The first play in the Democratic playbook. They all say that when they don't have the facts to back it up. Oh its both parties, they both suck. The facts are that most of the anti vaping politicians are Democrats. I see one Republican on this list.
It's really that sensible...really. Steve, you nailed it with this one sir! This is what I think it comes down too
Edit As long as the richest of the rich can keep us preoccupied and fighting amongst ourselves, we lose track of the big picture. Neither side is for the common man. I've long since stopped fooling myself into believing either one of them give a rats ass about the average American.

Well, the prob with that line of thinking is that "The Good 'Ol Days" were not good for every man and woman... I mean, sure you could fly down the road without a seatbelt, blow smoke in anyone's face in the name of "Freedom"...that surely ain't the "America" that many have faught for...myself included I'm a Vet that has actually served this country. So I guess I fight for a slightly different form of Freedom sirTruth of the matter is it really doesn't cross those lines. The Democrats are not friends to the vaping world. I emailed hcigar....asking what's going on with the VT133's.Something a little off the wall I've been thinking about.
Every year it seems like I get asked what's this going to be the year of. Last year it was Sub Ohm Tanks. This is the year of the RTA (especially bigger - RTA's). If the Deeming Regs don't change, next year will be the year of the retreads. Think about it, nothing new after 8-8-16. It really sucks what is happening to this industry. All so some filthy rich companies can get even filthier. Politicians can get juicy kickbacks. Average people that are trying to make their life better by quitting smoking via vaping get screwed. I don't know how these people responsible for this can live with themselves. It's a sad state of affairs!
Cheers,
Steve
Lol I did the same earlier .I emailed hcigar....asking what's going on with the VT133's.

Funny thing is I grew up in the 70's. We came home when the street lights came on, no cell phones with tracking, we had no bicycle helmets, we didn't wear seatbelts, we drank water from the faucet and foutain, no one told us that soft drink is to big, we respected one another, we didn't child proof our houses, kids were actually told no, we earned our trophies and medals, and somehow we all survived. Imagine that. I don't need any government telling me how to live my life. In my 46 years on this planet I have learned that the less the government is involved in MY LIFE the better off I am. I will always vote for whatever party is going to be less intrusive in my life no matter what party that may be.Well, the prob with that line of thinking is that "The Good 'Ol Days" were not good for every man and woman... Whew...let's get back to the Good 'Ol 133...not many arguments there

Absolutely correct. I owned a bar in NYC for 15 years and the anti smoking regs killed that business. The fair thing to do would have been to make a bar declare what they are. You're either a smoking bar or a non smoking bar. If there was a need for a non smoking bar then someone will open one up. It's called the free market and it's something the Democrats just don't believe in.I beg to differ.
What administration developed the rules?
What states have passed anti-vaping laws?
If it's anti-fun, you can bet a D is next to the talking head promoting it.
If you think that me not smoking on my flight to Korea is a good thing, come take the seat next to me.
If there is really a market for no smoking areas, I'm pretty sure a businessperson can see it and make their bar/plane/restaurant/theater no-smoking/vaping. Easy.
I remember being at the table with my dad, aunts, uncles, later brothers, sisters, all who smoked. Likewise in the car, doctors office, hospital room, etc.
Odd thing is, there wasn't the epidemic of asthma then among kids. None of us, nor any nieces and nephews have any of the terrible afflictions the antis attribute to the killer secondhand smoke.
So, while you can feel guilty about enjoying yourself, I choose not to.
Here's a simple thing they could do if it were about 'The Children'
Make it 18 and over to buy anything vape/tobacco related.
Make it painful if you violate the rules. Seller gets $5K fine, employer gets $10K fine, minor (parents) gets $1500 fine.
You wouldn't want to know the 2nd offense penalty. I'll bet that there wouldn't be too many repeat offenders, at least in the sales area.
There, solved. Without telling adults what they can do and where.
I have to ask why do you Vape then? I personally vape because I never like smelling like an ashtray, hated when others smoked when I wasn't, affected my health (after 4 years 8 months of not smoking I feel great)... I am gonna step out on a limb and assume "we" chose to vape for reasons against smoking...at this rate, you can have "fun" smoking and have the full support of whatever political party you favor ...just sayingI beg to differ.
