I've been using FA Maxx Blend and FA Espresso for a little over a year. Ordered 5 or 6 FA flavors a few weeks ago and have 12 or 14 on the way. Till recently most everything had been FW but this thread has me thinking that eventually I will be using FA almost exclusively. Well, I do have a very few TFA. I think most of my FW will be getting too old before too awfully long so I will need to be keeping an eye and nose on those. I always appreciate any help I get here.

Edit to add: I have a friend who is hooked on FW Extreme Ice so I'll have to keep buying that.

Nicotine River sells 60mls from what understand, not sure about larger, but I think those are re-bottled, too.

They are. When Mama J's sold FA flavors their 7 leaves was clear even though they re bottled. Nicotine River's was a pale yellow. And this is prior to mixing. I'd did taste a bit different also. Mama's was less grassy. I dont know why. First bottle of Joy I got from bull city was delicious. All bottles after from them I get that yucky flat beer. It makes no sense to me. Just sniffing the bottle it smells different. It used to smell sticky sweet cotton candy deep fried cake batter. Now it smells like sweet caramelized deep fried beer cake batter.

I was given some Nature's Flavors concentrates from this sweet lady at work today. She had found out that I diy and she had tried and realized that this wasn't for her and piffed them to me.

The flavours are:
Blueberry Cheesecake
Cotton Candy
Spearmint
Grape

There was also something called Mister E Liquid that I think is some kind of Root Beer concentrate. Has anybody heard of this and if so what percentage to mix it at?

I'm a little discouraged in reading that some of the flavors fade after a few days. I usually stick pretty much to just a couple of mixes for myself that are mostly tobacco and coffee mixes. Most of the other flavors I buy are for other people and I have always liked to mix fairly large batches but if the fruits are going to fade, I'll have to change that. Whatever works I guess.

Well, it's not like they disappear fade, but there's a tweak for Lime. Someone posted a reciped using Lime Cold Pressed at 0.5% It was a delicious vape! A week goes by, I can still taste it, but it's not as "there" as when fresh mixed. The next time I mixed the recipe, I used lime at 1%. A week later, it was where the 0.5% mix started at. Hope that wasn't confusing.

Lemon Sicily and Lime Cold Pressed are the only 2 I've experienced fading after they're mixed. BUT... Lemon Sicily took at least a month to fade a little, Lime comes out STRONG, so it seems crazy to use a little more, but it works. I've never had one that was faded to the point of flavorless, ever.

All flavors can react/change depending on what they are mixed with and mellow or blend in a steep. Certain flavors can boost other flavors, etc. It's not a company thing, just science. Kinda like cooking. Sometimes leftovers taste better than fresh out of the oven, or the opposite. I have bought a lot of HIC's recipes for simply his notes on how flavors react or what flavor might boost another or keep it zippy and zesty with a steep. Hic's notes are what have helped me so much. @HeadInClouds !

I just finished reading this entire thread. I've been lurking in the shadows for about the past month learning and soaking up all that I can. I am brand new to the DIY scene, so I'm a blank slate. Soon I'll be making my first order of FA, and looking for some suggestions. I already know for a fact that I am getting Monsoon, that just sounds amazing. I have come to love the sweeter fruit type vapes from my local vendor. And love drinking coffee, but the coffee vapes from them have been almost tasteless and no sweetness at all.

Now with all that out of the way, a little bit about me. I'm a Texas boy. I've been vaping for about 2 years now. I used a vv tube mod when I started, but now that I'm serious about vaping got a Joyetech EVIC VTC Mini and a Crown tank. I do temp control mostly, but find that certain vapes are better in power mode. I have learned so much from you all and feel like I already know many of you.

I hope you will accept me into the family and I look forward to any suggestions and advice all are willing to give.

I wish I had read this far before I jumped in here. At my age I should have had better manners. Nice post.

Me too, well I still enjoy the vaping just as much but the DIY has turned into my favorite hobby. I know the cost savings of DIY compared to store bought but since it takes time away from my other more expensive hobbies I am saving a boat load of money

Yes, it's an option either way. I might just write down or print out the number of grams per ml. of each liquid and do those calculations. I haven't decided yet. As to your other question, if there is, I don't know about it.

What I was worried about was being able to mix up a few weeks worth for friends and it being ok for them after a period of time. I don't do many really small batches. But maybe I can work it out to come out good after the fade. Thanks

In what proportions should I combine the two in order to get 3.5 % blueberry and 1% cream? Is there a calculator that helps? I can usually figure that one out with hand calculations and a lot of free time, and by making a third compensating liquid

I don't think that's possible due to the cream you want. The blueberry is easy, just 50 50 of each for the 3.5% you want. Thr 50 50 will give 2.5% cream.

On the hobby aspect, that is why I love it! I mean I love saving money and having the option to tailor the flavors to my own tastes. But the reading and researching, and creating and mixing is addicting, fun, and most of all relaxing. I still enjoy vaping, it hasn't become an either/or situation. But it's a wonderful, inexpensive (compared to a lot of hobbies) way of being creative and is actually also soothing to me.My daughter finds adult color books soothing and helps her relieve stress. Mixing does that for me

I too pondered on that a bit. @wllmc @RocketPuppy (it's been so long since I read this thread thru, and perhaps seeing PIE in other threads, but let's see how my brain works.) Was it being used as a funny type quirkiness, as a cuss word, or what's the inside joke. Or if your brain is like mine, do you even remember? Inquiring minds want the scoop. Miss you Wllmc & R.P.

I would probably use the 4% BLUEBERRY and 2% cream. Use the calculator to add nic base to bring the cream to 1% and then adjust the blueberry back up to the percentage you are looking for, 3.5%. I would need an easy starting point , like 10mls, for this. You will know how much to add by knowing how much blueberry is the 10 ml mix. Hope this makes sense. I am sure someone has an easier way.

I find the peppermints to be really strong for me so I'd start around 2% myself.
