Wicking my coil

Can I remove the coil (after I pulsed it and it's glowing evenly from the center to outside) to wick it and then re-insert it into the deck...or that would make heatspots?

It'll depend on the build you have. A simple micro/macro coil can be pretty easily removed and reinstalled without messing it up, as long as the wire gauge isn't too fine. I'd say anything finer than 28ga and you won't be able to reinstall them without messing them up, just screwing down the leads will probably pry the wraps of the coil apart a bit.

I don't know why you'd want to take them out to wick them to begin with.
I read the question and said out loud "Why would you want to?", and then scrolled down to this...LOL!

This is the only example I could think of where I needed to wick before install, and it's a novelty setup, so it doesn't really fit into the regular realm of coils.
