My Daughter keeps trying to get me to watch the Game of Thrones......she thinks because I'm a history buff I'd like it. I just finished a book about America's worst female serial killer...she poisned old people in her nursing home back around the 1900's...they thinks she may have poisend as many as 40 people.Currently reading “A Dance With Dragons” which is the fifth installment of the “Game of Thrones” series by George R.R. Martin. So far, I’ve liked all the books in this series. Almost done with 5 and then to the last.

So, what's on the night stand...what books have you been reading lately...the Good..the Bad...and the ugly.
yeah I'm partial to non fiction myself...Presently reading "It's a Long Story, My Life: Willie Nelson" by Willie Nelson and David Ritz.
I pretty much only read nonfiction.
A River Runs Through it was a pretty good book....he's a good writer...I'm sort of surprised he didn't publish more than he did.Spent the other day reading A River Runs Through It, for about the tenth time.
Also read Billy F. Gibbons short biography, Rock and Roll Gearhead the other evening.
I finished Out Bad, by Donald Charles Davis, which I had set aside for awhile.
Next up: Ball Lighning, by Cixin Liu
I read a lot of different stuff.

more is the pity....meanwhile you have John Grisham writing the same novel over and over again with 16 different titles.I don't think he started writing until he was retired. And he was published by Chicago Press, who had never tackled anything like a book at the time.

I didn't know Julia Roberts vaped.....not a big fan of sci-fi either.Currently reading Artificial Condition, book 2 in the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. It’s pretty interesting. I’m really liking it, and I’m a hard sell on science fiction.
I actually love sci-fi, but I’m really picky about itI didn't know Julia Roberts vaped.....not a big fan of sci-fi either.
Read anything good recently? I read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi, also suspense and horror when I'm in the moodMy wife and I read. We have a dvd and old TV that we watch movies on. We do not have cable or anything else. We read for our entertainment. I read mostly fiction, fantasy, sci-fi.
Which one? And is it good? I haven’t read any of them yet, but Old Man’s War is in my TBR pile.Just finished Scalzi's new book.
The Consuming Fire. It's the second book in a new series for him - The Collapsing Empire is the first book. This second book in the series was very good; better than the first.Which one? And is it good? I haven’t read any of them yet, but Old Man’s War is in my TBR pile.

Rereading lovecraft again, and on a lighter note one of the histories of westeros as I always need to decompress and visit a nicer world
Did you ever hear the BBC’s radio version of Mountains of Madness?

Its on youtube, I will be listening tonight. Woohoo.
Ooh Richard coyle, nice voice, haven't seen coupling but I recognise the voice.
Yea I'm not sure how much of lovecraft I actually like but he definitely deserves reading if you can ignore the old fashioned attitudes. Ridiculously influential and that's why I read him originally, to understand other writers work better.
Pt 2 tonight, eeeek
