I have really been enjoying my charon in tc mode with the pharoah so I decided to compare it with the drag. I used the same rta. Vaped it and remembered the tcr setting of 1400. Default is 1300.
I didn't think the drag was as hot or as constant with the hit as the charon so I adjusted the drag preheat to 80w. After brusardo's review and explanation of how the drag's tc works I realized why the hit started good then faded then came back, etc.
I lowered the drag preset watts to 54. That fixed it for the most part. I still think tc is better on the charon, out of the box, but the drag gives a consistent tc vape. The 420 temp charon is hotter than the 464 temp 1440 tcr 54 watt setting of the drag.
It could be wicking issue, I don't know, but I feel no throttling with the drag. No wicking issue with the charon with the same rta. That's a good thing. I do like hotter vapes. Never thought I would say that.
