India is also where most of our nicotine comes from it seems.
Seems to be c common song here in the USA as well in several ways.
Indeed....
India's pollution is so bad I do not see how they can tell that smoking is killing them though.

I heard that on a bad day in New Delhi just breathing the outside air is the equivalent of smoking two packs a day.
Yep and on a good day it is like smoking 1 pack.
Money from growing tobacco and the very high taxes (for them) on cigs.
I kinda figure they pay less for cigs than we do but the percentage of taxes is higher.
