#2 - Shiokara - A dish made of pieces of meat taken from different sea creatures, served in a brown viscous paste of their own salted, and fermented viscera along with it being served raw.
#3 - Jing Leed - Big grasshoppers seasoned with salt, pepper power, chili, and fried in a big wok. I can say that I've actually tried this once when I was in Thailand and I don't think I'll ever do that again.
Post 1. 7/30 Guinea pig
A strange one, because again I see this as kind of wrong. Yet I know over here we use guinea pigs in all sorts of medical tests and experiments, which is far worse. Typically served whole and roasted or in a casserole, guinea pig is said to have a similar flavour to rabbit.
Post 2 7/30
Shirako – Japan
Shirako
Another fancy name for an animal’s reproductive organs, Shirako is essentially a cod’s sperm sac. Apparently soft and creamy to taste you can have it served up steamed or deep fried.
Post 4 7/30 rice (mice)wine
Immersed in this traditional Chinese and Korean health tonic are a bunch of little mice (no more than three days old) with closed eyes.
Thank you VRod Vapors and ReddHott/JJ2 for doing this contest. I'll put the Atty Stand to good use. Looking at the pictures makes me glad I'm vegetarian. Thanks again.
