Hey all!
New to the forums here, thanks to my local brothers @MikeSully & @Sully! Mike turned me onto this forum, and said I'd be a good addition so here' goes!
I've been vaping since October 2014-- I was smoking close to 35 cigarettes, give or take, per day, while being on hormonal birth control (The Pill). I've always heard "blahblah you can get blood clots blahblah," but I'm an idiot, who had the mentality of "That'll never be me!?!" EEEEEERRR, wrong. I landed in the hospital for 5 days, with 30+ blood clots in my left lung. For anyone that isn't familiar, clots travel to three places normally-- the lungs, the heart, or the brain. Once they travel to the lung, they aren't known to travel any further. So I dodged more than several bullets. Six months of blood thinners later, and vaping saved my life, literally. I started out with a crappy $20 eGo starter type pen, and hated every second of it. I had cut down on the cigarettes but still wasn't completely off. It was only until I strolled into a tobacco shop "slash" vape shop down the street from me, and bought myself a Subtank mini did I stop the combustion. I had befriended the girl who worked there at the time, and she had given me her cloned Tree of Life (Element Mods) mech, and a battery. I had no idea what was going on but I knew I needed to know more. So I hopped on social media, and gained basically everything I know now from the Facebook groups on there. Everyone was so fucking nice?! I didn't get it until I became a vape enthusiast myself. I love educating the next fellow vaper, and helping them in any way possible as long as I have the means to do so. The vape community saved my life, taught me everything I know, and allowed me to link up and befriend some of the coolest cats around. I currently work (pending grand opening in August) at a vape shop in my area, I'm apart of The Illuminated Resistance (check my bio for full description of wtf that is haha, and any questions in starting a chapter or joining, let me know!), and I'm sponsored by two companies: Recovery Sauce (eLiquid) and Foggy Gnome (cotton). I am forever grateful to the community, to you all, and I'll be sure to make the best of my membership here on the forum .
