Trying to cut back on juice consumption

I'm currently using a Griffin RTA with dual 26 gauge twisted coils. On an average day I'm going thru about 30-40 ml of juice. This is costing me about $100 per month. With the upcoming regulations I would like to try and cut that in half. Any advice on type of coil i should build? Or should I switch tanks ( I've been looking at triton v2 with the vaporesso coils). I'm more concerned about flavor than cloud production. My wife actually gets annoyed with the amount of vapor production.

Increasing battery life would also be great. I'm going through four batteries while at work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You're paying $3 for 30 ml bottles?

Putting price aside, if you are comfortable vaping 30+ mls a juice on a daily basis, then DIY would be your best avenue.
If you want to cut back on juice consumption other than the price factor, then you might want to consider devices that are more catered to MTL style of vaping.

You might want to think about going the DIY route to save money on juice. There's plenty of good advice and recipes on the board tp help you get started.

Mark's advice is the best by far

(though toilet vaping is great, it just doesn't offer the savings IME)

Switch to high nic toilet puffing

Wait, I thought that was French perfume!

This whole thread, hilarious.

My vote is also DIY. You'll save tons of money. OR, get a restricted DL tank and build a little higher. There's more flavor to be had and you can still mix higher VG for CloudsBro!

Lower the wattage and partially close the AFC, or maybe just don't vape ALL THE TIME, take a few puffs then put it aside.

DIY will make it cheaper, a lot cheaper.

I've thought about DIY but really don't have the time for it. I'm working about 12hrs per day and a family. I rarely have the chance to sit down and rewick without having to get up for one of the kids.

What kind of tanks would you suggest? My wife is using my old Nautilus mini. If I could find something with airflow in the middle of that and my Griffin I would be happy. You think the Triton V2 with .9ohm coils from vaporesso would fit that?

I wanted to cut down on how much I was going through, and went back old school (or for me anyway) MTL, 1.5ohm clapton coil at 15 watts in kayfun mini v3, still seem to go through juice, but nothing like when was using a 0.5ohm clapton coil at 35 watts, and still got great flavor :)

You're already getting your juice at an amazing price, so I wonder whether you might want to consider increasing your nic level instead. I also vape a good 30 mls/day (but I DIY) but I'm at 3mg. If i went back up to 6mg or even higher I'm almost sure my juice consumption would be naturally reduced.

I have a few Triton 2s I sometimes use at work - very reliable but i find the flavor weak.

Law suites have been filed which will push the date back a lot, and also more then likely these regulations will be tweaked in our favor.

Teach the kids how to rewick, maybe even rebuild and make it a family activity.:ejuice::cloud:
Wait, that's probably frowned upon.:slowclap:
Never mind

The new aspire nautilus x would probably be a good MTL tank, the original nautilus was a really good MTL tank and I expect this to be better following suit of the clieto

If I had to start all over again, and wanted something that's all in one, easy to use and inexpensive, I think I would just go for the eGrip2:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Joyetech-eGrip-2-All-in-One-Starter-Kit-p/joye-egt.htm

It basically caters to every vape style, MTL/DL, TC or Wattage, all in one or 510 compatible. That should point you in the right direction on what you will eventually settle with as your preferred vape.

I've had 4 rta's and by far the bellus is #1 on juice. If i'm using the diablo all day i go through 2x's the juice. Even using the serpent mini a single coil it eats far more juice than the bellus.

.8 ohm dual Kanthal build @ 25 watts in my Billow V2 saves juice and battery life on my HCigar VT40. DIY Juice will also save you money.

You could always buy juice from Verde Valley Vapes and save a ton of money. If you spend over 20 dollars you get a free 100ml of juice.

That's where I get all of my juice from! Just bought 1,150ml for $86 including shipping. Still feel that should last me more than a month.

Eleaf GS tank.

gs-tank-6.jpg
I have several but no longer use them. They are good lil tanks which do produce good flavor. If saving on juice was on the menu I'd be using the GS tanks too.

sorry but why not just go back to single coil? my subtank mini gets good juice mileage and gives flavour for days. just got big clouds though. a good 4 wrap simple clapton at 40w and I maybe need to refill just once a day and the second tank goes right into the next day. Also, maybe up the nic too and don't go on too much vape breaks.

I use my aromamizer when I want to save juice dual vertical Claptons reading at about 0.4 ohms and I'll use maybe 12-15 ML a day I run it at about 48 watts killer clouds and great flavor even with the afc wide open. I gotta say it can be a pain to wick the vertical just right at first. Other than that the premixed bottles of plain ejuice are cheap and convenient just add flavor and your good to go (after some steep time of course)

$28.50 for all the materials? can u link your suppliers?

I use the same suppliers as many others.
My last orders were as follows;
Nude Nicotine:
Nude Armor v2.0 Nicotine Base - Extended Shelf Life
500ml - $62.00

Perfumers Apprentice:
Grape Juice - 32oz - $28.50
Grape Candy - 32oz - $31.00
Strawberry - 32oz - $30.00
Bubblegum - 32oz - $28.50
Vegetable Glycerin - 2 Gallons - $25.00 each

Since I use an odd recipe, it'll be easier to share it to explain.
--------------------------------------------------
Grape / Strawberry / Bubblegum v5 1000 ml
Nicotine 100 mg (100% VG)- 22.00 ml
VG - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 668.00 ml
Grape Juice (TPA) - - - - - - - 70.00 ml
Grape Candy (TPA) - - - - - - 70.00 ml
Strawberry (TPA) - - - - - - - - 70.00 ml
Bubblegum (TPA) - - - - - - - -70.00 ml
Sweetener (ECX) - - - - - - - - 30.00 ml
--------------------------------------------------
Yes I know this is an extreme high flavor percentage.
It works great for me, however isn't so great on coil life.
But it is worth it for the end result I get in my opinion.

From there you can feel free to do the math.
Hope this helps.

I'm not a vaping veteran or anything so take my suggestions with a grain of salt. I believe single coils go through less juice than multi coil builds. The higher the resistance the less battery life you'll go through. Just a quick estimate based off steam engine's calculator, a .5 ohm build on a 2500mah (assuming something like a samsung 25r) would give a run time of around 20min. Going up to 1 ohm would double the run time and increase battery life by about double.

Unless I'm mistaken, dual coil builds half the resistance so a pair of 1ohm coils would effectively be .5ohm. In essence burning through the juice and battery life a bit faster.

It may not work as well for you if you're a lung hitter and not a mouth to lung, that I'm not sure of. I'm currently vaping using a piddly vape pen with a single coil at 2.2 to 2.4ohm resistance and don't go through near as much juice. I vape pretty often and at times chain vape and on a heavy day I'm lucky to go through 6-7ml a day. Usually closer to 5ml. (My tanks hold 2.4ml and I vape roughly 2 tanks a day). Obviously that's a bit extreme the other way from your setup but a happy medium may be able to cut your juice consumption in half and reduce battery use.

As other mentioned maybe going to a higher nic level of opting to go that route. Because I'm not taking big direct lung hits my nic level is usually 12-18mg/ml. That would likely be far too high for the volumes consumed by big lung hits. Hope that helps some.

If you don't want to do MTL get a decent single coil tank like a Merlin or a serpent.

Here is the math;
(I forgot to include the price of the sweetener earlier.
Sweetener - 500ml - $28.99)

Notes;
ml per oz = 29.5735
ml per gallon - 3785.41 (we'll call it 3785 to be safe)
32oz = 944ml

NICOTINE - $62.00/500ml - $0.124 per ml
VG - $25.00/gallon - $0.0066050198150594 per ml
Grape Juice - $28.50/32oz = $0.0301906779661017 per ml
Grape Candy - $31.00/32oz = $0.0328389830508475 per ml
Strawberry - $30.00/32oz - $0.0317796610169492 per ml
Bubblegum - $28.50/32oz = $0.0301906779661017 per ml
Sweetener - $28.99/500ml - $0.05798 per ml

Grape / Strawberry / Bubblegum v5 1000 ml
Nicotine 100 mg (100% VG)- 22.00 ml - $0.124/ml X 22 = $2.728
VG - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 668.00 ml - $0.0066050198150594/ml X 668 = $4.412153236459679
Grape Juice (TPA) - - - - - - - 70.00 ml - $0.0301906779661017/ml X 70 = $2.113347457627119
Grape Candy (TPA) - - - - - - 70.00 ml - $0.0328389830508475/ml X 70 = $2.298728813559322
Strawberry (TPA) - - - - - - - - 70.00 ml - $0.0317796610169492/ml X 70 = $2.224576271186441
Bubblegum (TPA) - - - - - - - -70.00 ml - $0.0301906779661017/ml X 70 = $2.113347457627119
Sweetener (ECX) - - - - - - - - 30.00 ml - $0.05798/ml X 30 = 1.7394

TOTAL of 1000ml batch is $17.62955323645968
This means I pay less than I used to.
