the bottom part of my regulated mod gets really hot where the battery goes into on the negative side. I have a jomo tech lite 65 pro variable wattage vape
If I was to venture to guess you have a bad solder joint on the neg wire. Its sort of like a mech mod with a bottom fire switch that would heat up when it gets dirty and was not making a good connection. I would return it if you just purchased it.
