...is that the intrepid Amy Ratcliffe will no longer be reviewing Supernatural for IGN. That's it. That's the story. The whole lot of it. I'm Fowler. I'll be taking over the task. This has been "The Story So Far."
"The Devil in the Details" was a sharp, eventful - surprising, even - winter return for this long-in-the-tooth series. One that nicely paid off Lucifer's big play for Sam's carcass while also giving us an abrupt, shocking character death during the final seconds.
Sure, the episode relied on one of our main heroes doing something phenomenally gullible again. Something they'll have to spend a season or so atoning for later. But it's Supernatural. Wise, astute moves need to get balanced out with bonehead plays. So for every Sam refusing to acquiesce to Lucifer, there's a Cas who says "yes" and f***s everything up for everyone.
