this got me to thinking = who has ever tested this ? well, i am going to now. i will put just 1 bottle in the fridge. then as time goes by, i will keep an eye on all of it. i will put it in a box.
I haven't seen him around here lately but
@Rossum did some fairly extensive testing on this very topic.
Long story short:
Optimum: Nic in glass in freezer
Next best alternative: Nic in PET in freezer ( PET is less permeable than other plastics )
There was a distinct difference in oxidation from the nic that was stored in the refrigerator vs. the freezer over a period of time. However, storing nic in a refrigerator would definitely help, especially if it were in glass and protected from light. The latter probably wouldn't be necessary if the refrigerator isn't opened regularly, i.e., a basement refrigerator. As for the nic that was stored at room temperature, well, I wouldn't say it was unusable but it would have to be the only nic available for me to consider it, lol. Oh and yes, glass was clearly the winner in this scenario as well.
Do keep in mind that this was over a fairly long period of time, a year or more if memory serves.
