And a market mainstream screen!I like the Extra large button feel better update they made. I need my buttons to be Extra large button feel better. It's even got a restart hole!
The restart hole makes up for that lack of choice! But I like the option of installing my own batteries!
Looks like a winner here. Very stylish interface, high end zinc alloy and aluminum build for sturdiness, large 4400 mAh battery, plenty of heat vents on the bottom and 65 watts of power and restart hole. It also has the pass through option, vape monitor and temperature control. I assume it will fire down to .2 ohms like the M65 mini with replaceable battery. Good deal for around $70. Check out the color options below. XPRO M65 PLUS by SMOK.
So how does it regulate temperature without NI200 heads or builds? Any ideas?
With the exception of the iStick, every mod I have used with LiPO batteries from China manufacturers has died a pre-mature death after a month or so. Not real keen on the LiPO's unless I source them myself at the Hobby store.
Smok seems to be pushing things out really fast (and dropping their price points REALLY fast) recently. I just got the XPRO BT50 for Christmas and I know the person who got it for me paid around $100 for it. It was basically brandy new when I got it! Now, not even a month later there's these which seem to have every good feature of the BT50 while adding several really interesting features and dropping the price almost by half...... Still wish the batteries were replaceable but I think I may have to get one of these bad boys to put my mini subtank on when that comes out lolLooks like a winner here. I got a feeling all those LiPOs are made in China. Are there any country of origin markings on those? With the exception of the iStick, every mod I have used with LiPO batteries from China manufacturers has died a pre-mature death after a month or so. As the ad says "it helps you with your vaping plan". What plan? I have no plan!and does anyone actually use the puff counter? It has always seemed like a useless function to me..

Actually the ones I got were made in of all places, Brazil...I got a feeling all those LiPOs are made in China. Are there any country of origin markings on those?
I suppose we will see what the quality is like over the next few months.Yes they do drop the prices within a short time frame which I think is a direct result of the rapid output of new devices competing for notoriety. With a 4400 milliamp battery you won't even have to think about changing batteries, it will likely last you 3 days straight on a single charge. If the build is good, as has been my experience with past SMOK products; I would imagine it will last you a year if not longer. Cost $70 = an investment of about $6 per month which is roughly the price of a pack of generic brand cigarettes. You vape for an entire year at the cost of a carton of smokes. Super deal

I don't personally care for it either but it's helpful to newbies coming of off analogs. It's used as a measure of comparison to how many pulls they used take when smoking and to regulate their juice intake. Say for example you want to cut down your nicotine intake but don't wish to take a decrease in mg/ml, you can then monitor your puffs and set personal goals to puff less and track your progress in a journal.
Yup. exactly this.. I'll never buy a mod for more than 20-30$ that doesn't have the replaceable option..
it seems like smok is setting their prices a bit too high for these types of devices
I totally get the 'purpose' of it.. I just don't think anyone, even noobs really use it.. especially for the amount of devices that include this option.. I think its more of a 'what else can we add to this device that isn't too difficult' lol. well a puff counter is easy? ok perfect! Meeting concluded.
The cap on the iStick that overlaps the sides seems like a much better/safer design than Smok's which is inset, which looks like the inevitable juice leakage will work it's way inside. So if the M65 Plus will cost only $20 more than the already very low 50 watt i Stick coming at the end of the month I don't suspect interest to falter one bit. They are offering a very nice shell, sturdy build, professional appearance and an extra 15 watts. The i Stick will still be the dominant seller for mid range budget devices without question but SMOK will not sit idle, these mods once proven will gain more interest and find their demographic. There is a huge market for built in battery mods as sales continue to steadily show.

Where and when can I buy it?
That's an interesting observation. I would agree that the i Stick has a better design but I'm definitely impressed by what the M65 offers so far. I will be getting the i Stick 50 for sure and will consider the M65 once it has been out for a month or two. I'm sure reviews are going to start coming in shortly for the M65, it's a nice looking mod with a lot of impressive specs. We'll see how it goes.
If by the word "design" you are talking about technical things... it's too early to tell on any mod that hasn't be released to the public yet including the newer iStick 50w. If you mean by it's styling... that's subjective and therefore somewhat not arguable one way or the other since everyone will have different opinions anyway.
The Smok will likely be a pure DC output based on the other releases they had lately... the iStick is uncertain at this point. If the iStick 50w is still using PWM, it's unknown whether they corrected the calculations to be RMS or AVG... in fact, haven't even heard about that for the 30w yet as far as what I've read and seen since most reviewers that have released a review don't have the equipment needed for those tests yet.
Based on my Smok XTPro BT50w... I'm not impressed by their technical aspects. Mine works ok on it's output but I'd prefer a mod I don't have to wake up before firing for a vape and the buttons are a bit rattly ( like many mods including the iSticks ). I've read by one persons report that the Smok M50w doesn't need to be woke up first, but that was just one person so far and no mention about the buttons either way from what I've read so far.
Just to be clear on my own preferences ( another subjective area )... I'm biased against PWM now after I've vaped on several DNA devices ( Evolve and Chinese types )... I'm really against a PWM that uses AVG output values after trying both modes on my Vamo v2. I'm also not a fan of most box styles although I've moved to them for their smaller overall size. Lastly, the already mentioned part of needing to wake up a mod before taking a vape bothers me a little also.
Origin Vape states the I50 is DC current and RMS combined.

If you read that link it says it takes replacement batteries and comes in an m50 box, but says m65 when you turn it on. Hax?I just checked www.evape.us and only $49.99. They just got them in. I expected it to sell for much more, price is excellent. Last I checked it was in stock and looks like a winner to me.

If you cannot change the power cells, it's disposable...NAH.
If you plan on pushing it close to it's full potential, 50W or so, 4400mAh is where I would want to be.I am glad I bought the plain M65 and not the plus. The ability to change the batteries is a deal breaker for me. Is anyone sure that these batteries can't be replaced? .
The batteries are already built-in - and not replaceable - with the M65 plus and M80, so reverse polarity is not a factor in this case. Are these things supposed to have reverse polarity protection? Someone told me the site says they do. I've emailed Smok about my dead M50. Probably cost me more to ship it back than a new one is worth. New Sig 100+ coming to replace it anyways, so not a biggie....
