The magnets I use are 13.12 mm OD. I use them in all my Mods. Fast Tech. I have 8 different kinds of mechanical Mods. One 26650 but it came with magnets. Hope this helps.

My first build ever a dual 18650 authentic DNA30 with spring loaded 510 and 1amp micro usb charging, raised stainless steel fire switch and counter sunk/recessed tactile switches. Total capacity is an awesome 5200mah and it measures only 3" tall ;)

Powder coated the outside and inside as well to protect from any potential shorting with a light textured black. More pics to come of different colors and textures when I finish building more :)

Just an idea I had for a DNA30 (actual evolv) chip I had and $2.60 worth of scrap plexiglass.
I present Crapbox ver 2

Size comparison next to a Fasttech clone

Do you like the homemade battery connectors?
Might look like crap but vapes like a champ, is lightweight, sliding back panel for battery access, and has a spring loaded 510.

Something I was working on today (WIP DIY DNA 30 Maple box mod).
Finish is drying currently.

Sometimes it's nice to have a mill, and a lathe in the shop :)

Nice downsizing effort with the plexi mod. Go plastic. Box mods are generally to big, heavy and awkward IMO. You sir should ask Santa for a mini-mill this year!

Lol i like it! Man, i would love to have a lathe. I was into the pipes about a year ago and that would've been handy, ya know. Your gonna laugh, but i was making pipe mods out of the bottom of chair legs! Lol. I thought it looked cool...at the time.

Still attached to the chair I hope. ;)

I want to build a Bad ass Mod so bad I can taste it. All I am asking is where to get the parts. Can't get 510 connectors at 7/11. Yet rotfl
This is the fire I have in me right now. I stayed up until 3:30 this morning reading your entire thread. I want it bad! What's stopping me is that I want a dual 26650 box, unregulated with an angel eye led switch. What I can't find is if the switch that I want can withstand the Max output of the dual parallel batteries.

Huh? Do you mean the LED rating? Those switches are typically rated to handle way more than those two batteries in parallel, ~720 watts or ~180 amps at 4 volts. Is the question about the LED only?

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm sure I'll need a resistor to not burn out the led but I'm not sure what size (or rating) . I've not made my mod yet and I don't wanna royalty screw up on my first try, so I'm doing as much research as possible. I've seen led switches on regulated mods and have read about the angel eyes not handling the dual 26650 set up. Can't find how to go about doing it the right way.

I have no direct experience with handling that separate LED circuit. But honestly brother, you're building a monster mech. Why even bother with a little light? Perhaps a locking button would be better insurance from unintentional firing. ;)

So very true. A testament to my inexperience. Lol Newb. The image I have is of a clear Hammond box with the little light switch. Just an accent of color other than the batteries.
Plus I just really like building and making shit. An other feature I wanted to put was a micro USB port so I could recharge on the go. I'll definitely have to get an on/off switch.

Dude, It's a momentary voltage spike. Mouser has the button switch that will start a car. I have one in a Hammond 1590 case. T/20 chip. works fine.

Thanks Saddletramp 1200. I'm still learning what parts I could use. I just learned about mouser a few days ago. I had originally seen the switch I wanted on Amazon. As I started to look closer I started to wonder if it would keep up.

Samo, I am watching this industry grow so fast building a Mod is more cost than buying one.! Go figure?

Me and my wife noticed when i started making a parts list. It's crazy. I want to build anyway. I like that kind of thing.

I built T/10's. There out of date. Fast Tech is unloading 30w for a song. 180 watt is here. My question, 180 watt? really? What will you use that with? I burn coils with my 30 watt. Can't vape anything over 30 without a burn taste.
I just now took a ride in a 2013 Camaro with 435 HP. Scared me to a woodie. Vaping is still about flavor for me. Congrats Twisted 420 for your new job. Threw that in.

Im soo jealous of all the mods.. I wish I was able to make one!! Great work you guys!!! :)
If you really want to you can with some education on basic electronics and woodshop (if you want a wood mod). There are night and weekend classes for adults in many public schools.
