Mech's wire mass has a big play, I use SS due to the lower resistance (and flavor BTW) and the need to use thinner wire. This all comes into play with how responsive the build is.

got ya. I was using the same 28g inner core wire for both SS and the NiChrome, to meet the resistance required. I have different tastes, I like the nichrome cores, and ss wraps, but that is personal pref to everyone.
