Hey guys!
Stumbled on this awesome forum while doing general research on boxs used for DIY / custom vape builds.
Anyway I'm trying to produce a better case than the Hammond 1590G that seems to be popular because I think in addition to the dreaded hammod lean - there are several things that could be improved upon. (Maybe making it just a slighty larger for instance, magnet closure instead of screws)
With that said - I'd like to hear this communities opinion on an idea i'm toying with is implenting the "sliding" type door this can be seen here:
Edit: sorry guys fastforward to 5:34 in this video
The alternative is the standard "pry apart" type magnetic door seen here:
Edit: sorry guys fastforward to 2:59 in this video
Ignore the coloring / surface of these cases. The one I'm designing will be made of a CNCd solid piece of billet aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum.
Looking forward to your feedback!
Thanks,
