You get a security error when trying to view notifications?
That's a new one.

Yes and it was thelast straw for me, if I didn't receive an email alert to a response to this thread I wouldn't have responded after having to go back thru 3 of the email alerts to get back to this thread. VU has become a playground for the trolls with MOD Ties and I am going to start a FB group~!

Can't even edit my post to show it was a SECURITY ERROR.
The security error is something to do with one of the signatures, photos, memes, etc... in this thread.
The site where the pic comes from isn't secure (uses http not https) so that makes the whole thread show a security error.
This thread has the security error.
I have no idea which pic it is either.

The old version of VU was http only.

Do you mean you can't view pictures in this thread or do you mean you can't view pictures somewhere else on the forum besides one of Joe's threads?

So this morning I used the Mobile site and it is a far cry from it used to look like. Is this being worked on or forget using it thru a Smart Device Browser? No images and barely any content visible on a thread I was in just this morning.

Hey hope you all fine i suggest you to make your forum secure by converting into https (SSLcertificate) it's increases the trust worth of your site, on the other hand i like your forum that is recently updated and discuss all the factors according to the client problems.

They are using https since the change in the software. Firefox on Linux is showing it's secure here with the lock symbol locked. Try typing in https://vapingunderground.com after clearing your cache.

Something must be wrong on your end.
The mobile (non takatalk) version of the forum is the best it's ever been.
The rise in mobile browsing is the reason for xenforo switching to this format to begin with.

Before I had to cut, crop, resize, all types of bullshit just to get a picture on the forum.
Now I can snap one with my phone and upload it directly.
no size restriction at all.

Oh wait.
When I have a bad connection half the shit doesn't work right.
Were you on Wifi or were you on data?
I have noticed weird things happening when on data and in a dead zone.

I use Chrome on my iPhone, and everything looks right. I mostly access vu on my laptop though.

Here's VU on Chrome on my iPhone vertical and horizontal.

Actually I was on Data but had 5 Bars or whatever is all of them. I was watching You Tube Videos with no buffering and had no problems with anything else I wanted to do but I will test it again. Easy enough to do to disconnect the WiFi when I am home. I am not sure if I was logged into to Free WiFi where I was though but thanks for the tip. I will test it when I have some free time.

There are some issues if people don't make sure to put the https:// in front of VU. When your posting @ http://www.vapingunderground.com (none secure and it will usually push you over to the https anyway) - If you get through without being secure will deem your photos unsecured, so when when someone logs in with https:// it wont show the image. Just make sure your always on https or at-least have the lock next to the domain. Also if your returning from a long time ago, please make sure to clear your cache. I have users coming back from years ago getting all kinds of issues because they never cleared it.

Talking about using the Mobile Site @VaporJoe and accessing VU from an Email Alert should take you to the HTTPS version I would think?

Yes the email alerts always send you to the https because its driven by the site itself. Are you not getting that?

The first time I used my Pixel 2XL to access the VU after the upgrade it sucked ass~! Was less than half of what I normally see and no mages. After @5150sick mentioned WiFi or Mobile Data I just updated to Android 11 and decided to test it. Working fine and everything is actually much better now. I need to test it at the location I was at last time to see.

Not using the Mobile Site as you can see and on Data. Maybe it was a Vz issue leftover from the storm?

Same here, all of the above.
At times nothing happens for so long I'll tap out of the site and back in to reload it and see if it gets things working. Sometimes it appears to work but could just be a coincidence.

When that happens I close the Tab and Clear The Cache!

Funny how I tried to get the notifications to open for your quote @Smigo and the bars just did the Energizer Bunny thing. Just kept going and going and going~! Closed the tab and VVU would not even load. Closed the Browser and cleared Cache so I could respond.

Cool.
On another note. Your avatar remids me of a bit of gold I found years ago that looks like a prairie dog. I'll hunt for it and take a picture of it to show you. The moment I dug it up I thought "prairie dog!" :)

It's strange that there are still so many bugs after all this time since the update. I feel bad for the admin, because I am guessing a majority of the admin and moderators have day jobs.

So something @VaporJoe and the Admins need to address is the Email notifications that have no response or reply info. Because of this I do not open VU Emails any longer because there is NO Reason to and you must go to VU to see the thread. Because of my marking VU Emails as Read, Gmail is now considering them as SPAM. Fix this before all VU Email goes to SPAM.

I have reported this Issue along with many other members but there has been no response on it. If VU emails go to Spam I won't know someone quoted me or responded because I don't check what is in my my folder. DELETE it as move on.

That is why there was pages showing up and not secure.

The inability to view the screen shots has something to do with Joe's goofy thread permissions.

But Hey,
At least someone turned the server off of potato

So you posted an HTTP Screen Shot is what you are saying? I find it hard to believe you are using HTTP instead of HTTPS to access the forum??? WTF?
