Yea, like my 50 watt with that sensor....Sadly I am sort of interested in this because of the damn touch sensor.
Mine will be here today will let ya knowHas anyone tried this thing yet?
no worries actually only had it for about 4 hours, I know what your saying about the resistance changing my og sigelei 100 watt somethimes does that but I think its because the pin isn't spring loaded..Thank you for updating with info!
It's funny mine should actually show up tmw so I hope you don't find any major flaws interested to see how temp control compares to my rDNA 40! Never owned any IPV's/Yihi regulated devices
I'm glad they did get rid of any charging port though, as the previous ones were misleading and skeptical at the least.
Have any issues thus far with the devices recognizing different nickel/kanthal coil builds? And from what I gather you can manually switch from regular mode to temp control as well? No relying on the device to assume which mode for you?
Also, I think in previous models, with kanthal builds, the previous models would sometimes change read resistances on builds sporadically, sometimes jumping +/- a tenth of an ohm to a full ohm; have you noticed this at all when using kanthal? Obv not with temp control mode, bc that is the nature of the mode/nickel, but I remember some people had inconsistent readouts with kanthal builds.
I know I may be rushing with questions as you had it for only a day! ha but it's much appreciated! So thank you!

The LI has a spring loaded 510 tried a cardo tank, a few drippers and several sub ohm clearo's no issue thus far I actually really like it. Feels pretty damn solid like my sigelei's. I like the way Yihi does temp limiting seems like a pretty consistent algorithm I own a vs rdna40 and still use it, but I prefer to vape mostly on my Yihi chipped mods more if that helps any. when you vape your wick dry it shows dry coil and tones down the power. all in all it's a good mod. I need more time with it to give a more complete review of it.
my ipv4 is a lttle off from my sx mini and so is my ipv3 li. I think there is a lttle variance due to wiring and the materials in the mod and topper. the variance isn't much ,but seeing the resistance in 100th you can see it.Got mine tonight. So far seems nice. Only oddity is resistance readings in tc mode may be a little off. Or could be they are wrong on my ipv4. Don't have anything that reads down to 100th accurately to check builds with.
a1 kanthal wire in tc? I haven't heard this anywhere besides from Assolo, where did you see that at? I know that the update will increase overall power. thanks againExample is same build reads .063 cool on ipv4 reads .075 on ipv3li. Coil Calc indicates build should be closer to .063. The gravy will be if they release the firmware, which I have read hits on the 20th and will add 70j 200watts top end and also ability to use kanthal in tc mode.

On another note kinda funny that the warranty card is good for 3-months through Asmodsus but they are dropping p4y lol.
What do you think about the instruction manual Wooglin huge improvement from ipv4 imo. Also what vendor did you get yours from? my lot # is L1623
Thanks m8 will check it out.Origin vape for firmware. I ordered from ecigcity.

Titanium, not Kanthal.
Very interesting I have tried to fire a1 kanthal builds in tc and it would do the same. so now it will fire with the update?Yes, that is what it says but I have upgraded and am firing a Kanthal coil on in in TC mode. Previously it would go straight to dry hit with Kanthal. Getting ready to see what happens if I run a coil dry.

I think the vendor may have misunderstood p4u I don't think this mod can tc/tl a1 kanthal, I beleive the update adds ti and increases power. you could be right about the ramp up versus ipv4 my Sxm has differen't presets that either lowers or raises initial ramp up. would make sense. just downloaded update see how she vapes after it. I also wonder if this update will work on the ipv4?? or if they will release a ti update when they increase the power on ipv4.
Decent review
You know I think I would have to agree with you. It just seems more well built overall. I did notice Mikey said that ,but he added a caption that says its work.On this review he mentions that the touch sensor malfunctioned in TC mode. He missed the activation. For the touch sensor to work you have to fire once with the physical button which is a pretty cool design decision which stops it from firing by accident. This only applies if the display has turned off. Once the display is on if you fire once with the button you can fire with the touch sensor until the display times off again.
On another note having used the IPV3Li for two days the IPV4 is shelved. This is a superior mod in every way. The IPV4 is still a very nice mod but this one is just that much better. I have to believe they had this one in the works for a longer amount of time, or that an entire different team worked on it. Everything from the manual to the physical execution of the mod is superior.
The link no longer works my friend.Heads up everyone that is looking for the Pioneer4U iPV3 LI just got told about this deal. Get the iPV3 LI with coupon for $85.76 & free s/h
"please use this coupon code " IPV3LI " to get the price $85.76 with free first class shipping"
weird when I click on it goes to it. If you can't get to it via link just go to the website and find coupon codes on the left hand side. The link no longer works my friend.
It keeps saying internal server error. Maybe there's something wrong on my side.weird when I click on it goes to it. If you can't get to it via link just go to the website and find coupon codes on the left hand side.

Sadly I am sort of interested in this because of the damn touch sensor.
What's the firmware update for ipv4?It'd be nice if they actually released the promised firmware update for the IPV4 instead of utterly sidelining it after the IPV3 Li release.
Thanks for the info definitely would love a lock feature. They were supposedly bumping it to 150w months ago.
I'm only interested because there's a chance they'll fix the presets in joules mode though, and maybe add a lock function.
A lot of folks disconnected the touch sensor on these devices shortly after they received them.
They can be a bit quirky. I have the original IPV2, the sensor got a bit of liquid on it and went into constant fire mode.
Hopefully they have made them more robust and less twitchy in the more modern versions.

google ipv3 165 watt update same process different firmware.anyone here finish update new firmware for ipv3 li?I need help for upgrading ipv3 li firmware.. my 2 computer doesnt detect devices from my ipv3 li. its light up when connect usb to my pc but nothing happen and .. I click install driver then its say 0 devices found.. help me, thanks
When is the ipv4 getting a update or is that not happening now

I think its a upgrade to 120 watts , I could be wrong time will tell lol.Another thread said Denny at P4Y announced it will be "soon". I am not sure what that means as they aren't the greatest when it comes to dates and deadlines. IF they do the firmware (for the ipv4) to go to 165w (and increase joules) that would be fantastic.
I wont be vaping ti after hearing what that stuff can do. Im good with nickelRead this morning the IPV4 update will include support for Titanium wire.
that tempered nickel is awesome got a 100' roll from lighting vapes and its nice and springy you'll like it. works great to just don't dry burn it red hot otherwise you will aneal it.Hope I'm good with Tempered Nickel that's in the mail. Only built 3 coils and crushed one of them.
Would something the the unarchiver in the app store work for this? Interested too as all I have are macs.Mine arrived today! First impressions: it's built pretty solid, love this silver finish. Battery door is better than screws but kinda rough at first. Nbd honestly, it gets better. 510 is smooth, pin is spring loaded. However, my 510 is ever so slightly angled so it scratches the unit in the same spot every time. Did this with the first tank I put on it. It's also ever so slightly off to one side, so my tanks/drippers hang off just slightly on one side. It's driving me crazy haha but it's sooooo small, and most people honestly wouldn't notice it.
The buttons are nice, fire button could be a little softer but that's just an opinion. The touch sensor actually works fine in regular mode, didn't really work in temp control. Not a big deal, as I can't see myself using it really. The screen is nice and bright, easy to read. Don't see it being an issue to read in intense lighting/outdoors. Menu screen is easy to navigate.
I haven't given it too much of a test in temp control just yet, as I got it all of an hour ago, but will be trying soon.
Does fire to 165w in regular mode and I did see that update so I might just got ahead and do that right now tbh.
And lastly, I did put a few nickel builds on the unit to see if it read higher than my multimeters and VS rDNA 40. It actually read .094 on a build that read .11 on my VS, and .093 on a build that read .1 on my VS so that's interesting.. One of multimeters read the builds at .09 for both, haven't tried the other one yet bc of dead batteries of course. But so far pretty accurate.
Will be updating when I try temp control. Interested to see how it stacks up against my VS
EDIT: Looks like I'm not updating just yet.. Only software available to run the upgrade is for a PC and I'm on a Mac D:
