With a twisted I think its a trade of smoother hit for longer heat up timehummm see I dont like the extra ramp time.
Me too!I'm going to have to try parallel coils. why not!
Ah yeah, of course coil diameter makes a huge difference. I was just using my current coil over a 5/64th bit as an example. Either way it ramps up way quicker than your standard coil.Don't forget coil diameter. I can use the same gauge wire and achieve that same resistance in 4 wraps. In my case, I use a toothpick or screwdriver 2mm in diameter.
How is parallel in regards to battery drain? Any significant difference?
Real reason for the big cotton is I height to drip when I'm on the move. So I put a little extra to hold a little more juice. How come you're tossing that much cotton in there? It almost looks like juice is welling right at the lip since the cotton is kissed up right there

Parallels give you the extra surface area with the addition of a lot of heat. Standards less surface area but also generally a cooler vape. It really depends on your preference and device.
Build one and go from there, just be safe. Use the right batteries and check your resistance. Use an ohm's law calc to match voltage and wattage to amp draw and all that safety jazz. To give you a rough idea of how quick it goes low, a 6 wrap 28 gauge dual parallel coil clocks in at .2 ohm.

just put a parallell chimney build on my kayfun lite,,,just about to wick it,,,,,,built with 30 ga 7 wraps ,came out to .9 ohms guess ill see how it works in a min.
i had a hard time with leaking and dry hits,,,,,farted around a couple of days with it on wicking,,,,,was ready to throw the towel in ,and i decided o just one more time,,,ill be damned i got it this time, hits like a champ, great clouds and no leaks(yet)you know its amazing what the wrong wicks will do,,,i was ready to trash this setup,,but all is good nowworks pretty good,,,have to wait and see about wicking leaking etc
Build parallel sleeperI really like parallel builds, but I've really been hooked on sleeper coil build. Seems like my sleepers burn more even than my parallel's.

I got hooked on the sleeper coils as well, but then I seen I could do parallel sleepers and so I tried it... Obviously the second side of the positive post is horrible to get lookin pretty, but it's worth the extra work. Ramp up time is quick, and you get a nice warm vape. It was perfect with my cinnamon roll flavor. Tasted like cinnamon rolls straight out of the oven! lolI really like parallel builds, but I've really been hooked on sleeper coil build.
