With this bill, Ohio is also attempting to increase the cigarette tax to 11.25 cents per cigarette. Taxes on e-liquid would be:

• 10 mL bottle equals 100 cigarettes, therefore a $11.25 tax
• 15 mL bottle equals 150 cigarettes, therefore a $16.88 tax
• 30 mL bottle equals 300 cigarettes, therefore a $33.75 tax

Where are they coming up with 10ml = 100 cigarettes? Considering the different nic levels and various wattage options, that doesn't even make sense. Thankfully I only visit Ohio for Cedar Point.

Kasich (known as k-sick around these parts) has no shame or moral compass. He has made attempts to restrict voting times to work hours (9-5) to make it harder for working class voters to get there (to benefit his party), he has fought tooth and nail to disarm unions of any and all power they have to negotiate and see over arbitrations and he is hands down one of the biggest corporate shills in public office in the entire United states. The mans existence alone is an insult to the true American way. I am far from being proud of my nations ways and have a very very cynical view of our government but this guy is bad enough to even suprise me from time to time.

If you are a registered voter and Ohio resident please help stop this dickbag piece of shit from fleecing his constituents in order to appease his rich friends and further gauruntee himself a comfy 7 figure salary as a "consultant" for some company whose business he has zero knowledge of by signing this petition and urging others to do so. If you are not registered, PLEASE get registered and do the above.

*as a representative of my district in my counties "party withheld" central committee I canconfirm this bill has some serious steam behind it and in all likelihood will pass unless something drastic happens

They are effectively trying to price e cig users out of vaping and back into smoking. They have no interest in taxing e juice relative to actual usage compared to cigarettes, but rather to simply line their pockets and the pockets of the people who make the donations that pay for their campaigns.

The year Rush was inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame they were up for induction but did not receive the votes necessary to get in...

Ohio is in over its head trying to repay its tobacco bond, which is why they are proposing such a steep tax on e-liquid.

It has nothing to do with Kasich. This mess rests solely in the lap of the previous treasurer, Richard Cordray, and previous Governor, Ted Strickland.

He waste money on extra security for his home because he does not want to live in the Governors Mansion.

He gave a lot of Government employees the boot so he could farm out their jobs to private contractors and consultants.

Bottom line, is that he does not give a shit what we want.
